Cape cod is the best product in the market. I’ve been using it on my Rolex and Cartier watches for years. Works amazing. Follow the instructions and you’re good.
It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to ruin your watch by using Cape Code as you say ... At least you fix the small scratches, you don't see them anymore and it looks super good... and then after 6-7-8 years, you going to polish the watch anyway ..... So where is the fatality damage ..?

Cape Cod smells divine, Brendan. I often struggle with the urge of eating it…..my resolve is nonexistent when I crack open that tin….the smell brings out fond memories of eating crayons when I was a young 30something
Great Advice. Wear your tool watch a few years and then send to Rolex for reconditioning. I made the mistake of using Cape Cod to remove minor scratches on two links on my new Explorer 124270. Now, I am left with a shiny non brush finish. Total mistake. Do not DIY!

Totally agree, it's a bad idea. Ok. If you're using an affordable everyday watch during work or gardening or whatever and it's gets a bit shoddy looking, polish away! But don't do it on expensive watches. If something is particularly bad though and really needs some attention, bring it to a professional.
Use blue tape to block off the polished areas, after you polish them. Then brush the brushed areas with beartex pads. I wear a Casio daily, my tag for formal events. I have seperate wedding rings too. Polish your watch if you want to, it's your watch. My dad's omega from the 60s made it through Vietnam, Beirut, Panama and Desert Storm and was on his desk when his office at the pentagon was hit on 9/11. It's a piece of history but it never leaves the safe because it looks like hell. I wore it for the 9/11 memorial and carried it in Afghanistan. I'd never wear it out for a formal occasion, it has a calender that's stuck on 11. So it's only right once a month. An Omega dealer offered to refurbish it for me. They even offered me a new one if they could use it for an advertising photo. I refused both, it's a personal choice. It's my watch, my choice, the same as polishing your watch.
Rolex doesn’t give you any information I assume that as per the past 3 joint price increases Rolex would follow Tudor. Omega well I have all the new prices written down yet nothing! German Confirmed 200 to 300 euro increase happened today.

Reminds me a lot of polishing guitar frets. I use a lot of the same materials, high-grit scrub pads and even high-grit sand paper. The goad being to polish without taking away any material.
It’s impossible to polish without removing material. The goal is to remove as little as possible yes, but some will always be removed, if not it would not be classed as a polish but just a clean.
There's an old saying... Knowing something and being able to impart your knowledge (or teach) are two very different things. Unfortunately my friend you fall short in both regards.
Everything in this video is wrong. It’s good to use cape cod for minor swirls only. You’re not going to polish out any deep scratches. Also there’s no need to tape the watch using it. Cape cod is not that abrasive. I mean an hour of superhuman rubbing is not going to polish out any satin finish. You’d need a wheel for that. Also don’t trust RSC ever to polish your watch. They will polish the hell out of it and destroy those sharp edges of your case and camphers and leave it looking rounded off.

i had brietling chronomat which was polished metal and 18 k and had this watch for 8 years and the cap cod i got recommended if kept it as new but that watch has a mirror finish . if you sell a high end watch buyers will preferer an unpolished watch . every watch has its own finish ............ thats a good idea about sending to rolex , do they polish casio ?
I disagree.... As a modder/builder for 11 years now, ive been using cape cods with great success on many beat up watches. The green scouring pads are fine depending on how much pressure you put on it.
.... Hey up Brendan why is it knowbody ever talks about sending watches off in the post for example when you sell one.... Let's say you've just sold a Rolex and the value is let's say £10k unless you pay a premium with certain couriers your run if the mill like Royal Mail will only insure you upto £2.5k and your DPDs, UPS etc will only insure for a max of upto £5k tops! How on earth do grey dealers high street jewellers etc get around this problem if insuring your watch through theft etc??!
Yes zero insurance for items over £2500 I’ve taken that risk my wife was more worried than me. If the dealer is prepared to buy it it’s fully insured. WF is fully insured too!

Good morning, Brendan! Good content. If you want to ruin your watch polish yourself...better a watch with scratches, a watch elders in honor and every scratch tells a story...IMHO
I have reported this video to RU-vid for the reason it is misleading. The product is good, it’s just that Brendan does not understand how it should be used. He refuse to take advice from professional people, he is stuck in perceptions which of course is totally wrong.
Stop saying this is a good product it’s not! My opinion is based on using it, your opinion is based on you having nothing better to do but complaining and reporting people. A year on you should really consider moving on with your own life!

Thats factory finish of the watch And you criticed so much “cape cod” but you dont bring us any other solution And not polish the watch is not a solution for people who wsnt watches in perfect condition

This is such a boomer thing to do... buy a luxury mechanical watch, then go "ah I don't need to pay for a bloody service, I can just give it a scrub, what's the difference? Clearly I'm just as skilled as a master polisher with the correct equipment! Clever me!"
At one point you praise Cape Cod, and next you claim it's a garbage. Surface you claimed as "over polished" looks cheap because it's beaten up will dents. Cape Cod will reveal all the crap you did to the stamped cheap part before polishing it. This stuff works only on solid stainless steel parts. This video is totally misleading, to say the least.
