False, not everyone running Avacyn does field wipe. My Avacyn commander deck is built as a token army, where she denies enemy removal.

Oh dont play avacyn. Play nevinyrral, urborg tyrant. He is literally boardwipe tribal. Get zombies for each creature you swept up from a board wipe and guess what? He is also a board wipe on dyung so dont forget to have an instant speed sac outlet and leave up a single mana to hold the game hostage to your demands. Dont forget to pack reanination spells so you can kill him, reanimate and get an army back for your efforts. Play his disc for extra flavour points. Oh also as an extra note he only cares about creatures dying not if they are creature tokens or not. Meaning if you have an sac outlet and murder all of your zombies then flicker nevinyrall you get them all back and potentially more if this is not the first time you did it.

I will warn you tho he is as much of a bastard commander as you think he is and will most likely cause misery (but if thats your intention by all means go for it. Have him as your scary "thats it im bringing board wipe tribal out" commander that you scare your fellow players into playing nice

I saw a decklist online for a Massacre Girl deck that cost ~$15 in total. It was pretty much boardwipe tribal.

I used to play Mono White Angels, with this exact deck, then decided to build Liesa, so went Orzhov angels and just took what I needed from Avacyn. Then I decided to build Kaalia, and took my cards from Liesa. It turned itself into a monstrosity. I had almost every Lilliana in the deck. Honestly, it was a stupid build, but fun to play.

I love Avacyn for a lot of reasons, but I love that Magic gives you so many options - especially with all the tools in Commander that you get - for dealing with a creature that should be an effective win the game button by being able to play her. You can use something like Banishing Light/Leyline Binding/other gay baby jail cards to remove her, any exile removal, -x/-x, forced sacrifice, bouncing to stop her momentum entirely, and - the bane of any commander creature - taking control of them, especially with blue's permanent take control effect, because there's not an easy way to get her back (not even an aura to remove sometimes...) I know there's a lot of rules lawyering in Magic that results from it having such strict logic but I think that the creative methods of removing her makes even losing while piloting her feel like "yeah you earned the win". I think boardwipe tribal is probably the least interesting way to play her, but it's mildly funny and effective so it takes off. But in terms of creature design I find her fascinating, she's an 8 mana "i should win the game from here" card, but despite her protection of your board there's still lots of potential counterplay

As for redundancy you could add the artifact from new phyrexia block that makes artifacts indestructible. Also there's an angel that sacs to give your creatures indestructible. Also several 1-2 cost white creatures that sac to make 1 creature indestructible. Sorry I don't remember the names.

I just play big thick angels and leave the worldslayer or never-whatevers disk as a sub plot with a few tutors to get it like quest of the holy relic. If they see quest for the holy relic, and just let it happen, they deserve everything they get. I am telegraphing a turn 10 win on turn 2....

You gotta run a couple of the equipments that give hexproof. Avacyn makes them indestructible and they make avacyn untouchable except for edicts or mass exile cards.

All im hearing is "my friends played sucky removal until they figured out "destroy target creature" is not the only way to remove something" i used to fear avacyn players till i figured out the exile is better than destroy
