As an Asian American who has dated Thai women, I can say my experiences have been very positive. They tend to be caring, considerate and easy to get along with. They also have a good sense of femininity.
I think Nanny is mistaken as to why western men don't approach her. She is obviously VERY beautiful. Many western men are intimidated by that so they don't want to approach just to get rejected. It's not that they aren't attracted to her, it's because they're TOO attracted to her. If that makes sense.

Let me tell you about Asian girls . There are three type of asian girls. 1st type, they are family oriented, educated, traditional, and usually they are well off financially. 2nd type, they are more liberal, westernized, and they could be financially stable too. 3rd type, they are poor, have to support their extended family, and looking for way out from poverty. 2nd and 3rd type of asian girls will be more open/ prefer to date westerners and are not prefer by native asian guys due to their lifestyle. They usually go to nightclub, party. Then there are 1st type of asian girl. They will rarely date westerners( non-asian) . They rarely go to party or night club. They are extremely royal and caring to their boyfriend/husband. They usually want to have kids. They usually come from a very good family background. Also their parents won't approve if they date foreigners. They usually hangout at library, art show, public park, or temple. They are wanted by most native guys but they could be extremely selective due to their high value in the society. When most foreigners go to asian countries, they usually meet with 2nd or 2rd type of asian girls.
Thai women are among the most beautiful in the world in my opinion. They are very feminine and nurturing. Language can be a barrier. To have a relationship with a Thai person you must be willing to understand Thai culture because it is completely different from where you come from. Stay away from dating apps. 99% of the profiles are from freelancers. Indeed, go to the mall or have a coffee somewhere. There you will meet beautiful, sincere women. Wherever tourists come for fun, you will be surrounded by freelancers. And they only have one purpose and that is your money.

It's a never ending cycle. Family always asking you for money. You have a foreign boyfriend and they think you're rich and can ask for even more money. Helping family is one thing, but often the girls are treated like ATMs, and they don't know how or refuse to say no. Sadly, for many, a foreign boyfriend is their idea of a retirement plan. 😢 Or at least that's how it often feels when you're constantly being asked for 💵

Yes, very often the language barrier is definitely there. The only “downside” in Thailand. Other than that, Thailand is my number 1 country. Maybe I should learn Thai … but it’s so difficult (with the tones etc.), and I speak 4 languages (meaning I’m not lazy 😅).
It’s not just about getting the tones right, or even words right, it’s the willingness to learn, and trying. My Thai is terrible, but when I speak Thai, the locals immediately change their attitudes, and I’m treated with more respect, and not just a farang on holiday. Some laugh sure, but I have saved money with just basic Thai…at markets, shopping, and bargaining

As an American, I can say Thailand is my favorite place that I have visited, and has many good people. All good-mannered American men open the doors and treat our women with respect and love. That includes studying Thai culture and communicating American culture.

Yes, actually it's a good topic and most people say Thai girls and their families only look after money, wrong and right like with everything in the world. Briefly about me, I got married in 2014 and let's guess... yes, a loving Thai woman. And of course my wife also has a family, as do I, and if the family has problems we sit down and talk about what should happen. Nobody forces you and if you can't help, nobody gets angry about it. That's why I never had these kinds of problems. But I digressed from the topic, why she chose me is over Thai men. Because the majority of Farang know how to treat and respect women better and that has nothing to do with money. More i can not say because my wife died beginning 2023 by cancer. And i not lost my Thai family because they a part of my family.
Well, I did say that you're both very attractive. I am surprised though that men would not be interested in meeting Nanny while out at a club. Personally, I would feel intimated to approach such an attractive young lady, myself. I'm also shy, married and quite older than Nanny, so that would have something to do with it too.

There are two types Thai woman. Proper Thai woman who is brown skin and there is Chinese Thai or with Chinese bloodline who are whiter skin. Unfortunately the Thai men like the Chinese types as can be seen from the adverts etc
This is a good video. I'm a spanish man (from Spain), and as you commented in it, the foreign people we have different culture. In my case I was went out in Levels Club in Bangkok and I met so many differents thai girls there (I will back in November again), and in my case I liked how dress mostly of them, elegant and sexy :)
Thai women are diffrent, but I always enjoy them. Both these women are lovely. Best to understand how they see the world and proceed with benevolent caution. And yes, you get their family, you do in the USA to, sometimes

Good discussion. I think it can depend on the ladies background. I have dated ladies from a poor background and they sometimes see Falang as financial stability but if dating a Thai lady with a good job or business they are not so worried about that. More interested in how you treat them. It’s up to individual taste and choice though. But better to avoid working girls like bar girls dancers and free lancers.

Poverty will lower ones standards out of desperation. It's sad but that is just life. When someone has financial stability they have options and can have higher standards.

If you are a real local Bangkokian who growing up here you have to know that eh? I’m already 40+ years old and also have my own business about construction in Bangkok and I have to say I never saw a guy who had a low education Background and got a good job if they’re not “Fluke” or very lucky, there are a lot I know but just a fluke. Let’s just think if you are a business owner and you have to hire an employee at the same price which one you would choose, both of them had the same Bachelor degree but one of them was studied from Chula the best University in Thailand which teach only a best IQ student otherwise you couldn’t go to learn there because most student there had to be no1 or the top from their schools and very expensive to studied there like 5 millions baht(us$150,000) to studied to be a doctor there because they teach you very very serious and also have a real tools from all over the world to teach you even it’s very expensive and that’s why when they completed at Chula then they could find a job easily everywhere around the world just like there are countless of the Thai doctors and Thai nurses could easily worked in the west and also in the states and that’s why Thailand healthcare ranked 6th in the world in 2019 and it’s because of these guys BUT the other guy came from a poor family and study from an open university which will teach anybody for nearly free and never care the student that they would go to learn or not and very easily to complete the degree. If you have to pay them the same price 200,000 baht per month (us$7,000/month) Which one will you choose?? And if you are talking about a good job in Bangkok I’m not even talking about the Head hunter that they just hunt a very best employee and offer a money to them to work just wanted them to come to work at their company. Or you have to find a job like a lawyer so you could made yourself famous just only from yourself not about university and background otherwise no way I have to say or only fluke.
I don't buy the part about westerners not practicing chivalry to the full extent. Where do you think Chivalry came from. Many Asian woman even said that to me. Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Laos, Singapore, Shenzhen, Taiwanese and even Hong Kong ladies all told me the same thing. "wow i never met a guy like you" Always opens the door, waits for me to receive my food before you eat, being very considerate etc... Most foreigners practice this. Well in my age class lol Though we're a dying breed. I think what she meant was the younger generation of westerners don't do that. That i can agree with. In turn the Asian men learned from the old ways and now practice this. That i can understand and agree with. Maybe that's why a lot of Asian women prefer older men.

I think the clubs where there’s no freelancer would be the one that you have to pay a lot for a drink like you need a table something like. That’s where they couldn’t afford to go. However it’s hard to say really. Even the nice one still have a lot of freelancers. You can just tell the way they act I think. Thai girls are everywhere it’s just sometimes weird when you go to them and ask for contact at those places. I will consider making vlog about that :) thanks for watching!
Talk to a girl on the streets/mall at morning/afternoon and tell her she looks pretty and some small talk, ask her out to go for a food/drink in the evening. This would probably be your best change to find 'normal' girls who are not freelance since they mostly sleep at this time.

If you want it to be easy there and not have a difficult time, you just have to be white(pink) and have 🤑. If you're black you're actually better off going to south america or africa. Also, latina girls are way better looking than girls in asia. In asia, dark skin is seen as ugly/unattractive. That's why in places like thailand, american, japanese and korean men do a lot better in the dating scene. Also, i dont wanna say this but the gals in the vid look like Ldyboys.
I went to Pattaya recently, & one thing I noticed as a British-Filipino with blue eyes - is that my good looks didn't really impress much of the girls there (especially the younger ones) .. I still felt that other foreigners (especially White/Euro & Korean dudes) seemed to have more success than me & knew how to flirt more & be desired by Thai girls .. I don't know what it is, but for some reason I wasn't really getting that same treatment from a lot of girls there. I did have my successful moments - but overall I wonder if I just seemed "average" compared to White & East Asian dudes .. maybe it was just my personality or dress sense. I just felt that girls were more flirty towards other foreigners & let their guard down, whereas with me, some of them were quite reserved & less warm to me. Not sure why that is.

I will retire in Thailand from the USA. I think the difference is that men from here have been used to the angry feminists who get upset if you open the door for them for example. I used to do that and many other things described here and got yelled at!! I look forward to being with someone so I can be what has become OLD FASIONED in the US. There is no ill intent from anyone who opens the door for anyone. Your friend needs to know that what she sees in porn movies is not the normal thing although, statistically, Asian men smaller, it's not a significant difference. Also the language barrier is easily resolved with Google Translate but if its a serious conversation, remember that the accuracy is usually bad when it's really important. Not every Thai girl's family need their children's money. At least, not my mother since my mother is Thai. My grandparents told my father to love & take care of my mother. That's all they asked. But of course, my parents do send money occasionally to thai just to tell them that she is doing well.
Thai girls are very friendly, even if they are very famous / very beautiful. If they don't like the guy or they already have boyfriend or husband they will just politely respond in some respectful way. Opposite often happens with western women who are often very rude and disrespectful and ruin man's self esteem with their responses. Westerners expect that they will be rejected if they start to talk with such beautiful Thai girl based on their previous experience with western women..

As a Scandinavian guy, I have felt quite a bit of racism in Asia from girls and guys claiming they know what asian type girls and farang/ang mo type girls are. I've heard 4 or 5 times that the girl I've been into have been asian type* girl. So the idea should then be that she is not for me... I don't like this sentiment! As I alluded to, I'm Scandinavian, or farang if you want. And I don't like the tall girls. Skin color is irrelevant to me, but that also means that I am just as likely to go with a fair skinned girl, or a girl with dyed hair as opposed to a tan skinned girl, or one with black hair. Where I come from, almost all men prefer short girls. With 20-40cm height difference between the guy and the girl. I personally think 20-30cm is ideal (I am 182 myself, or 6ft), but I have taller friends at 190cm who dates girls at 150 cm too. So your comment about western men preferring taller girls is completely wrong. At least among 95% of my friends. And that's like 100 guys here in my city. The skin color is irrelevant, but facial features might be more where the difference in preference lies. I can agree ok that. But alof of people get this wrong. And the differences are small, and can change from where in europe the guy is from. And also from where in Asia the guy is from. A good example is the Lucy Liu look. Alot of western guys seems to like that look. But Asians don't. But change one small factor, and you might have opposite views.
Ying is obviously a non-traditional, Westernised Thai woman who is not the typical Thai man's cup of tea. The irony is that Farang men are often attracted to traditional, non-Westernised Thai women (who give them culture shock) when someone like Ying is obviously more suitable for them. As for the issue of money to support family, I think it's way too simplistic to assume that foreigners don't understand that. Sure, there are some cheap Charlies around, but to what extent should this support go? That's really what decides whether it's going to be an issue or not
We think using the vocabulary and its structure that we have acquired, but not intentionally, learned. When we can understand each other's language, even slightly, we'll start to understand each other: until then, we are different. Having resided in Thailand for 14 years and having formed friendships with many individuals in relationships with Thai partners, I've reached a conclusion. Do Thai women prefer foreigners over Thais? As a whole, the answer is NO. Given the choice between a Thai or foreign partner of equal status, attractiveness, education, and wealth, they would almost always opt for the Thai. From my encounters with thousands of Thai women dating foreign men, a common pattern emerges. Most of these women are: Dark-skinned from Isaan Have short, stubby noses Often single mothers Have a high number of past relationships or have been involved in the sex industry at some point. While this isn't representative of everyone, it's the case for the majority. As you can see, these individuals rank lower in the Thai dating pool. High-quality Thai men typically prefer light-skinned partners with more defined features, who are educated and come from respectable families far removed from the sex industry. Women in this lower category of the dating pool may only attract a motorbike taxi driver or someone of similar social status or wealth. They observe that foreigners do not discriminate based on skin color when seeking a partner, and many overlook their background or past involvement in the sex industry. Therefore, they target foreigners because Thai men want nothing to do with them.

Everything is marketing. Western men who have little success in their home countries come to Thailand to have access to a better target audience. Thai girls who don't follow Thai/Asian beauty standards switch to foreigners to have access to a better target audience. That doesn't mean that those "ugly" foreign men and those "ugly" Thai girls cannot find a match amongst their native target audiences. It's just that some of them get to have access and experience a better playing field and won't go back. And why would they?
That’s exactly why I will never get married in these countries. I want to and always would take care of my wife’s family, but I’m not marrying a woman that expects me to because that might be the only reason she is with me (which happens more often than not). Besides, all these girls sleep with you anyway without getting married. So why get married? There’s literally no benefit to men to get married, especially to women that have high expectations without offering anything special.
