She unfortunately dated two immature Asian boys. Could as easily have been any race or culture. If she tried the same but older her experience might have been more enjoyable.
Examples for those two asian guys could happen with any race. I don't get it to reject asian based on those factors. She seems to be very frustrated not to be picked by white guys.

@@johnwatineTrue, they're free to like what they like. But I've seen videos of some Asian women from the west and Europe who enthusiastically beIittIe Asian men. I didn't even know that was a thing. I'm South Asian, from South Africa and such things don't really happen here. Maybe because there's huge communities of each race group. I'm not sure. But I feel like Asian women in the west try very hard to haate themselves and prove that they can "be whlte" too or something. And I've seen at least a few even try to justify coIoniaIism - which is something I find absolutely slckening, as someone who's ancestors were brought here as sIaves by Europeans. But, anyway, I digress. I could be wrong about my deductions, but that's just the impression I get from what I've seen. Feel free to correct me. :-)
I lost my dad to cancer. I’m so sorry she lost her mom. On another note… as a white blonde girl I also wasn’t picked by the guys in high school lol. My husband doesn’t believe I wasn’t “popular.” But I was waaaayyy shy when I was younger. So I think how you interact in your peer group when you’re younger also plays a role, not just what you look like. We all go through social growing pains when we’re young.
as a black guy, i can relate with her struggle of questioning whether you are an experiment or is the other person really interested in you and your values.
Meh...don't sweat it. We are all experiments in some way even amongst our own race. But you hit the right word - "values". Instead of gettting swayed by looks etc....try to pick up on a person's value system off the bat. It's tricky but it can be done and saves you a lot of time and heartache. If you are honest with yourself and the relationship didn't start based on superficiality to begin with...you'll be able to tell. These days I don't care how a girl looks or if we laugh together.......I look at her character and worldview to determine if I'm wasting my time or not. Physical or conversational chemistry have to come second.
@@jeanlundi2141 When I was dating, I didn't care about any of that. If I was an experiment, I would not have cared as long as we had a good time together. Those were the values I cared about. Once I settled down, then I cared about deeper things.
and what is sad is plenty of black men dont mind being that experiment if its an attractive white women, they know dating her moves them up the social mobility ladder. its craxzy how they talk bad abut white people but secretly manyt of them want a white woman.. for many its a symbol of status " i got myself a white woman, i made it in life"

Black (Jamaican) and have full Chinese through marriage in my family. The family gatherings are so cool and such a beautiful and fascinating mix. And the mixed babies are genuinely very very cute. Everyone can still be of their native cultures and still mix perfectly as a large family at gatherings.

So true, but the thing is she seems to be limiting herself and her children’s future by only dating white or Asian. Doesn’t make sense in a modern free market system. She does seem genuine and nice. Plus, her style of dress and figure are feminine. I like that. However, do you think she is pretty? Sorry, she didn't get to date white guys during high school, but I would think for many white guys to date an Asian girl during high school that Asian girl would have needed to be pretty. Unless she has changed a bunch, I don't know if she would have hit that mark. I may be off-base though.
I’ve always been interested in different people and cultures myself. I appreciate your video and your transparency. I’ve always been intimidated to date Asian ladies, thinking they wouldn’t be interested in me as a white man. Thanks for the video and giving me hope.
I actually realized something about my own childhood listening to this bright light of a human being talk about missing her mother - for that alone, I'm grateful for this interview, but not only.
Can relate to the validation from white guys part. When you grow up as a minority surrounded by a Eurocentric standard of beauty, you spend a lot of time as adults trying to attain or become what you never had. Now after being aware of it, I see how much meaning I put upon attention from Caucasian men, and after getting it, realized not all of them are made equal, and that outer appearance (obviously) has little to do with whether they’re good in a relationship or makes me happy. Great interview, appreciate her sharing some very vulnerable things.
The men who were ignoring you are the same men who were ignoring the woman in the video: chad and brad. The 90% of regular guys who would drag their balls through glass to be with you are totally invisible to you.
I wish this was talked about more. I’ve known too many Asian women who would only date white men for just the white validation, while openly denigrating asian men for that same form of validation. It’s something so many from the Asian community has to grow away from. An ongoing dialogue about this topic is needed for this to happen.
@@korra999c7 I agree with you. I'm not Asian but I see this and hear this so much. It's kind of upsetting for me. When I was younger (undergrad and grad) and Asian guys would ask how to get a (Asian) girlfriend, I didn't think much of it, but now I can see how and why this is such a problem. This combined with what @kizzull is writing about looks like disaster for many Asian men, and I agree. There should be a dialogue.

I remember this women in a dating show recently. She was on a roku show. I guess her relationship didn’t work out. I was rooting for them. Hope she finds a genuine loving man one day!
They could, but this was filmed in New York, right? Asians are in the minority. Chances are that the white guys have only dated white women (because there’s more of them) and dating an Asian woman is then a new thing.
@@Brinta3 In New York, whites are in minority, 30% o population, asians have 16%, white population is older, so it will be lower for people in 20-30s and higher for asians, then you have orthodox jewish and other jews who will not date out, generation rich whites who also dont date out and you probably end with pool of whites and asians who both have around 20% of population...

I really didn’t understand the “am I an experiment” quote. It’s well know Asian woman love white men. Asian woman will pick their own Asian or white men first. And most conform to the white mans culture. Not sure where this lady has been. She was never the girl that white men wanted to date? She wasn’t blonde hair like white woman? She is wondering if she was an experiment? If you had all these doubts and negative signs, why did you try so hard to date a white man. There’s Chinese, Koreans, Black, Hispanics, Indians, yet you still try to prove yourself to a white man, when you had these doubts is very interesting on her part.
This is why I am raising my Asian daughter in Asia. I do not want my daughter to be a broken like her. She is the typical Asian girl in America who went to an all white school-- whose bullied for her Asian looks and/or ignored but still wants to feel accepted therefore spends her whole life vying for white people's validation to the detriment of her own identity and cultural background. Not only that but the internal racism runs so deep, these Asian girls don't even view Asian men as potential partners because they must be by default a misogynist; therefore perpetuating the stereotype that Asian men are extremely patriarchal -- which is something that white men like to bash Asian men for yet somehow Asian men are also too feminine and not manly enough... Yeah it doesn't make sense. Also why would they ever want to date an Asian guy? "They look like my brother. Ew... Gross." then all the white boys laugh about that.
Asian American women have 7x as many children with Asian men than white men. Most WMAF couples are boomers, statistically. Vast majority of young Asian women marry Asian men, statistically. Hapa children are also very rare, they don’t even make up 1% of US births, and that’s including all the hapas born in places like hawaii which have a higher concentration of mixed Asian white couples.

I would much more believe that only the generation from this millennium can marry an Asian woman more often than the Boomers, only in New York in 1940 there were only 0.2% Asians, so nationally it had to be well below 0.1, men who on their old knees, they went overseas to get their wives, they themselves will be statistically insignificant.

Finding your post cruel. Your experience of dating 2 Asian men is totally irrelevant as there are as many men of other races who could also treat you badly, as you said most haven’t passed your basic tests of decency and respect. Hope you can go past your racist outlook.

Dated 2 Asian guys who weren't even of her own ethnicity. Chinese guys behave very differently from Korean and Japanese guys. Shows that she doesn't even want to date her own ethnicity.

100% I understand where mom was coming from! If I were raising them mostly alone and knew I was about to be gone from their lives, I would be terrified to leave them alone in this stupid world full of morons! I have in later life been more interested in different races. I grew up in a small town about 97 percent white. I think black women are strong and Asian women very family oriented, more than others. I believe people are more interested in interracial dating and marriage today and that's a good thing.
Also, if a guy like that would have come along, she probably would not have been interested. That's probably the bigger issue. There were probably several or many white guys at her school who would have dated her, but those guys most likely got friend-zoned.
She just explained why a lot of asian females prefer the white guys if they have the option. Criticizing the woman you just met or talking only about yourself and let her pay the diner you invited her for? Sure you should not roll over for woman or let them abuse you either. Mutual respect, in any relation is crucial, if that does not exist then move on because its not going to work.
I think she gave only 2 examples of Korean or Asian men. Sure her description of Korean guy choosing all the food and letting her pay was not a good date. Did she date a Chinese or Vietnamese guy?
She explained the reason they don´t wan the asian guys in general, besides all the physical shortcomings they also have little respect for woman. Sure they are not a bad as let say indians or africans since they will easily resort to violence, but still very bad to criticize a person you just met not a good idea, and these are guy that live in the US.
