Just wanted to say thank you for all of your years of videos on henna. I was using it but as a mask, and only like once every six months. I would get great growth for a few months then was back to square one. I would check out your videos occasionally for years but something was not clicking in my head. Finally I just spent a whole day watching your videos back to back in December of 2020 and I finally fully understood you. I started doing a henna gloss every Sunday, & oiling my scalp 3-4 days a week with conditioner rinses in between. Now here I am at the end of March just touching waist length (might be longer, have to straighten to see). So basically, what you say is the truth! This is coming from a type 4, high porosity hair type that breaks if you look at it wrong. Thank you again! And keep going, you are helping more than you know.
I have auto immune blood disorders and I have been diagnosed with everything under the sun. Let me tell you, eating clean is SOOOOO important. Also, everyone should be taking a chelated zinc, Vitamin D (5,000 IUs per day), methylated Vitamin B complex (mosquitos are attracted to those with B deficiencies), and ascorbic acid (aka vitamin C). We do not get enough from the foods that we eat (the quality of foods even organic) are depleted especially the moment we cook them. And we cannot get nearly the amount of vitamin D that we need from food alone so you have to supplement it. Also drink lots of water and go for walks. If you’re unhealthy, no amount of hair products will work. I do not take any medications.
Ummm hmm idk if I agree with with 5Gs daily for everyone. Vitamin d is not water soluble. I have MS an autoimmune disease and its great to take that much Vitamin D for people who have autoimmune diseases. I think 🤔 everyone should check with a doctor or pharmacist before taking that much Vitamins A, D, and K are NOT water soluble and can make u sick if you over do it.
You are seriously THE BOSS! You are such a breath of fresh air and I LOVE listening to you! My hair has grown SO MUCH while implementing your methods. I did rock a wash and go today, and usually I where my hair out on Sundays for church too. But all the other days (most days) it is tucked away, honey! LOL I'm starting to grow some gray now, so henna is out because I want to rock my curly gray hair. I'm going to have curly gray hair all the way down my back to my waist, and I do not care what people will say. I'm embracing this stage of my life and I so look forward to it. Anyhow, the oils, deep conditioning once a week and essential oils have done wonders for my hair - and I'm a swimmer. My hydration internally and externally, exercise and nutrition - all is careful consideration. I am so thankful for your tips, tricks and advice. I hope no one is hating on you because you are wonderful and your energy is on point, your work ethic is obvious and you are passing on the knowledge and love WITH love! 💕 That is one of the reasons why you're fruitful. Many, many, many, MANY thanks to you. ❤️
You mean henna to cover greys? I do that. I love my silver hair but felt like having red. It looks great. The brown hair stays dark, the grey looks like highlights.
I haven't started seeing results until I left my hair in twists/braids for at LEAST a month. The front of my hair never retains length, but it grew last time I checked and has finally gone past my chin
@@layedition4681 I only wash my hair once a month when I protective style. Wash day is typically ACV rinse or clay mask but next time I'm gonna use shampoo, ayurvedic mask, then braiding up with regular leave in, an ayurvedic leave in (completely liquid hence using the regular creamy leave in) and hair grease. Then I oil my scalp and just put on a bonnet. I have been wearing head scarves since october.
Don't apologize for long vids. You fill it all with good hair gems. I appreciate all the knowledge you dole out. It's very helpful and I look forward to your vids. I think they are a great guide to sparking a hair health journey or aiding a hair health journey. Either way...keep em coming! You're appreciated
I never make comments. But I've been watching your videos since you were inbetween classes making them lol. And I just bought your whole line. I'm so excited about it. I swear...Your content needs to be on primetime tv, for all women of color. You have never ceased to amaze me. You need your own show. Love you, dear sister... ❤️
Thank you for addressing this! I went from 2-months straight of 1-inch hair growth to a serious SLOW DOWN.Stress could definitely be an issue, but I haven’t been religiously doing my scalp massages either. You are amazing keep doing what you are doing, I learn so much from you.
Your tea has made my hair and both of my boys hair grow and be stronger. Forever grateful. My oldest has thin edges from when he had locs and my youngest has anxiety that he rubbed small patches in his head. Both of their hair grew back nicely. Thank you so much Farida!!
You are a staple in my household. Empress...thank you for being beautiful inside and out. You have helped me in my journey to realize my self worth. Peace and blessings to you my sister!!!!!☺
Thank You for the encouragment! I'm awaiting my products and can not wait to try. I've been following your journey but when you speak on hormones I must say that I haven't any after a total hysterectomy. My hair was still growing but as of lately I was diagnosed with a brain stroke and the top of my head is so tender that the massages hurt but I try my best to work around it. As you were putting out videos, I was trying my best to incorporate what you do to my own hair and believe you me it was working outstandingly... But this last year with the coronavirus and then unable work and all of the time I now had on my hands, I was watching your videos more often and just the stress of not being able to get out the house and get to work, that I so desperately needed to do but now being able to focus on my hair it was just coming out! No matter what I did, even if I took my time in combed each strand very carefully it still popped and fell out! So now, i'm dealing with the stroke and recovery and I feel like I just want to cut it all off and start all over again. I'm finding strength in your videos and teachings as well as your products and the time and energy you put into it, is going to be the time and energy i'm going to dedicate to mine! Being 50 does not mean I cannot grow my hair... I'm going to try my best to get rid of the stress and follow all of the regimens, from vitamins, diet, and plenty of water all day! Again... Thank You Thank You Thank You... i've waited for these products for a long time and I am thankful God BLESSED you to be a BLESSING to all of us!🙏🏾
I get so excited when new video notifications from you pop up on my phone!! My hair has went from bra strap length to my tramp stamp tattoo thanks to your tips😘
You are truly a Godsend!!!! Humble, caring, honest, mature and loving are in your DNA. Thank you for covering the full spectrum of hair care. You should teach a class in these attributes
I'm still here for you, sis, getting more knowledge for my curly little girl, whose hair is healthy and growing with deep conditioner, oils, and trimming of ends along with protective styles. 💖
i don't have a moisture problem. But for those who do I have noticed, because I drink a lot of water. The moisture for my hair comes from within. The more water I drink the less I have to do with my hair. I could go months without wetting my hair. My skin looks great too.
Oh, yeah. What she said. I did what she said, now I will tell you what I did. I have the Curly Proverbz Henna and Aloe Powder. I have been adding a scoop every time I deep condition. People. The strength from the get is unbeweavable. I’m retaining more growth INSTANTLY! Listen and you, too, shall receive...
Your videos are so informative. My hair is permed but they have helped me so much. Due to being up in age, illness and medications side effects I thought that my hair would never grow but now im almost mid back length. Thank you so much young lady
Yes, you do have to protect your ends at all times. That's why I don't like to get my ends burnt on the end after having my hair braided. It rubs on your clothes. Curl the ends and keep them up.
My hair is in the same style as yours. Two ponytails. My secret. I daily Denman brush & moisturize my ponytails and only the crown once a week. I keep my crown tied up and dry so it stays neat. I’m back on my MSM,vit c, collagen water for the next 9 months hoping to get 9 inches. We will see! Great Videos, you are inspiring.
@@LexiYoga I take 1 heaping teaspoon dissolved in 48oz on H20 that’s been sitting in a glass jar overnight on my nightstand, I drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
I'm not a fake subscriber. I'm a genuine subscriber, I'll show up. By the way, I just got your CP Henna products today. Yayyyy! But I'll admit, I'm scared to put it in my hair! You rock!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. In a short amount of time I have seen my shedding stop and my hair feels so much stronger. Started taking MSM and Vit C today. I plan to start with smoothies and eating more live foods. I have shared your information with all of my friends who are over 50 like me and experiencing hair loss. The ones who are trying what you have shared have seen progress too. I completely agree you have to address the internal along with external. Thank you 🙏.
I love your henna!!! I’m a believer. I started incorporating henna a month ago and I love it. I only buy your brand. Love the product and the packaging.
@@tawnyamillin3262 you can use 1 tsp in your regular masque weekly or every two weeks. As a full masque every 2-3 weeks with a moisturising DC in between
Loved the video girl! FYI I don’t think it’s possible for your videos to be to long. I never get tired of hearing you talk about anything that has to do with hair.💋😁
Yes, anemia will cause your hair to fall out and stall your hair growth. For those who have a very heavy menstrual cycle will certainly need more iron. Juicing beets has truly helped. Thanks for this video.
I’m not model ,I’m not gold diggers I’m ENTREPRENEUR 😜.I love it.I will get your henna to support your business and I’m tired of cheap henna.I need results,I can’t wait!
You are the truth! I’m soooo excited to start my hair journey. Two weeks into using the MSM, vitamin c and collagen. I ordered your aloe henna mask which should arrive this week. I just did a black tea rinse and I am so excited to watch all of your videos to learn as much as a can. You’re a God send and I look forward to the journey! Thank you for all of the information you put out, for free!🙌🏾
Word of Caution: be CAREFUL with protein/keratin. I ruined my hair by using an intense protein treatment consistently for 3 weeks. My hair kept getting more dry, more brittle, and started breaking off :( I didn't realize that my shampoo and conditioner also contained a ton of protein so I didn't even have protein-difficiency in the first place...I got the WORST protein overload. There's no way to reverse this damage. I will just have to be patient and start completely over, growing out my healthy hair :( I wish I'd paid more attention to warnings ugh. I have low porosity hair. Also, most shampoos and conditioners have keratin/protein/some form of strengthened; it's really hard to find products without protein in them.
I love using scalp massage, oils on mids and ends, and protective styles. I love the wrapped up braided bun and milk maid braids for work. It keeps my hair from rubbing against my shirt and other clothing.
Just need some henna to start my growth journey. I'm sick and tired of turning down dates because my hair extensions are more than crusty and finding someone to do it where I live, is next level not easy. Don't get me started on no hairdresser due to the pandemic 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️The struggle is rrrrrrrrrrreal! I hope Curly Proverbz restocks the Henna soon. Pray for my extentions. They be like cheese straws 🤣😂🤣😢😢 😁 ♥️ 💞
Even though you say this vid was long… 🙀🤩it was one of the very few that kept my attn and made my brain 🧠 start thinking of the needed changes to get thing aligned. So, nope thanks for the details sis. Loving this truth🫶🏾from the US
Love it! Can you make a video of different protective styles please? Like you mentioned a tuck and roll, I’m not sure what that is but it sounds beneficial haha
Thank you so much for your advises.!!! My biggest problem with my type 4 b-c hair is my ends. They are constantly tangle. Hydration get them more frizzy. A fact that lead them to break off My other big prob is my crown area and the back of my head. My hair is shorter at these 2 places. I really don't know what to do to help that...😫
@@sharg1778 i used to trim but the problem keep repeating. The ends become very tangled even right after a trim. I will try your methode. Thank you so much 🙏
Such great tips which we know already but turn to forget or ignore and become careless and lazy as time pass..These information will wake us up again and get us back on track. Much needed video ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thx Curly Proverbz.
Always great advice CP! ❤️🌹I ordered your henna And aloe masque and fenugreek oil and I ❤️❤️❤️it!!!! Since I've been using henna on my hair my alopecia outbreaks have been fewer and my scalp healthier. Thanks for your help. And yes, diet does play a huge role in hair health. I have an autoimmune disease called leaking gut and I have to be very careful of my sugar and gluten intake . 🙏🏾😇😍👍 blessings
Awesome 👏🏾. The basics of our clothes breaking our hair is so simple yet so easy 2 dismiss. Protecting the work (Ayurvedic DIY) I have put into my hair is key to retention. Thank u 4 all u share!!
Awesome Tips Freda Sis💜 I plan to up my game and start using these tips ASAP, I love the teas, glosses, henna, MSM, oils with Fenugreek seeds, butters and protective styling, I will add pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oils to my foods, I have been under some stress, I’m proud to say that I have been doing my scalp massages daily before sleeping at night, I would like to know more about “ Red clover” Ashwagandha is great, thanks 💜🎯💯💖🎀😜🎁🎊👑👑👸🏽
my mom is in her 40’s and struggles to grow out her edges? she’s starting her locs journey but she really wants to grow them out. any advice? also great video very informative 💖 definitely trying some of the things you suggests.
