The only peace from what happened to you that you should be looking for, is him staying in jail, staying away from you and you going to some kind of therapy for survivors of abuse. Being contact free from him is a bigger gift than you realize bc if you start talking to him and get sucked back in, next time he might actually succeed at killing you. Please stay away from him, get treatment for the traumatic experience youve gone through so you can heal and realize your worth and just be as happy in your life as you can be. Someone who truly loves you would never hurt you and theres a guy out there that will love you the way you deserve to be loved and will never put his hands on you that way. Unfortunately this is a very common dating problem. And it's usually the guys who are doing the ignoring. I think the best solution for this type of problem is to date multiple guys at same time. NOT SLEEP AROUND WITH MULTIPLE GUYS! DATING IS NOT MATING! BUT, JUST DATING, EVEN JUST FRIENDSHIPS HAVING JUST FRIENDSHIPS WITH MULTIPLE GUYS AT THE SAME TIME. NO SEX! Just dating or friendship. And even something as simple as just friendships with multiple guys can be very therapeutic for a girl. It can make a girl feel so much better about herself. If a woman is NOT FOCUSED ON JUST ONE GUY, and NOT thinking about just one guy. But, rather actively involved in friendships with multiple guys. That can be a big ego boost for a girl.

If he's ignoring you, start a no contact period. No contact works every time IF the guy cares about you. Never chase a man. You chase, they run. I've applied no contact and within days to a week at the latest, the guy will at least make indirect contact (text, message via social media, pay more attention to my posts, etc.) If they're doing that, you know you're on his mind. It boils down to having respect for yourself. You're a high value person. Why do you want someone who disrespects you by blowing you off? Know what you want and if they're not willing to at least show you the respect to reply to your texts within a 24-hour period, it's time to move on and focus on yourself. If they care, they'll be back as soon as you take the focus off of them. I don't believe in a set time period for no contact, unless it's an ex, but try going a week without contacting the guy who's ignoring you and see what happens. A guy was ignoring me, so I went no contact for 1 week. In that week, he sent multiple messages via social media. I finally text his phone on the 7th day with a simple one sentence and got a 13 paragraph text reply from him. It was that easy. All I did was pull back from him.
The other day we were chatting through messenger after 1 day I messaged him then pooff no rep but I can see that he's always online... wow that struck my ego...I feel anger and frustrated... well I think it's time for me to move on now..

And then, after sex, he disappears, you tell me if you shouldn't shame him for it. I've had to say something I didn't want to, because I've never liked to argue and to be perceived as clingy, which I'm actually not, but you can't come into my life when you know I'm afraid of relationships and in a delicate situation (I lost someone recently), tell me all this, and then disappear. I told him I couldn't just believe this was the same person, and that he hurt me a lot. I'm not ashamed to say this. I don't think showing your vulnerability is a bad thing, specially in these cases. You've dedicated time, attention, and emotions in a person, and you can't just treat anyone like that. It's not about how to react when this happens, it's about making them stop.

Men who can't take any criticism are babies that aren't worth any womans time. It takes less than 1 minute to send a text. I had a guy go radio silence on me. After about a week he texted me "wanting to hang out". I told him that it was over between us and I dont deal with disrespect from other people or from myself. That everything is all good and I don't hold it against him. We went on to be decent friends for years after.

While the advice above should be followed first, Things do happen. This story is the exception not the rule: My brother met a charming girl his age, he was head over heels after a couple dates. They texted back and forth until she one day she stopped responding to my bro’s texts. He said he even sent her a text days later asking what he did wrong even Apologized to her if he had said anything to upset her, etc. then basically gave up. Days later my brother gets a phone call asking him what his relationship was with the girl. In defense he responded “Why? Is she ok?” The man indicated he was an investigator with the county sheriff’s office. The woman had been found deceased in her car at work in the parking deck. My brother was the last person to contact her. She did pass my natural causes. I suppose people have the right to move on, but sometimes things happen. I personally like a Solid “No we aren’t compatible or the like” than left to wonder. But again, things happen. And sadly, my brother on his past has done this same “disappearing act” to girls. We are wise if we realize the message, the karma and learn from our mistakes.

This came just in time for me. Last week I met a great guy we had chemistry, we liked each other! We went out Halloween night and the next night. Then he left early Friday morning to go back home. He let me know he got home ok and we traded a couple sexy text but then I didn’t hear from him. If it yourself who has disrespected you can have the self respect and self esteem to call them on it without anger. But then move on. You are no ones door mat .

I blew up on my ex earlier this month..no we weren't dating..but after I had spent nearly a yr helping him (without pay) with his elderly parents..his mom died Sept 10th..he chose to start dating his high school sweetheart right after..I had had his back at every turn as a best friend..even financially..but when I needed help..and emergency..he wouldnt even give me a lame excuse..nothing..it had happened as well 1 other time..when my daughter has fell and hit her head..he was closer to her than I was..I was begging for help..called text..nothing..well this time I waited 24 hrs after I texted for his help..nothing..so I went off..I returned the key to his house (I had still been helping with his dad, who's on oxygen) and told him I deserved better..haven't spoken to him since..its one thing to move on with a new girlfriend, it's another to use an ex..lie to them..take them for granted and then discard them as he did me..I always had his back..won't ever let myself be used for that long ever again..I am a giver..I always help others..that wont ever change..but I doubt he'll ever even try to be my friend after what I told him..which is ok with me..
