If he asks you out again , thanks but I have plans then. Dont elaborate. If hes into u, it will drive him nuts. You havent asked why didnt u call? You dont care if he does or doesnt. That says you arent desperate or easy. If he cares he'll knock that crap off and step up his game. I had that happen. He straightened up after that. It took him 2 weeks to figure it out I really didnt care. Way more attentive after that and called back w out games.

Someone I was in a relationship with told me he was intimidated by me, which I thought strange at the time. I figured out later that he was intimidated because I'm not easily manipulated, and congenial manipulation is his M.O.
I once heard my half-sister say that I'm "emotionally stronger than her." She said it in front of someone else, like it was a compliment or something. I found out later that that's because she acts like a 5-year-old, has tantrums, and psychologically manipulates other people. I mentally told myself to fuck that behavior. I stood my ground and never let her shake me again.
Leslie Bolick i had that guy telling me he should be careful with me because i have a strong will. He wanted me to pursue him when he saw it didn’t work he got mad at me. Whining about paying an expensive dinner the day we went out. I told him i don’t pursue nobody and i do gym so idc about food. I’ve been wondering what to do about a relationship I’ve been in for a few years, and you hit the nail on the head in 4 out of the 5 things this guy does. We are in our 60s, and dated years ago. At first, he was the greatest guy, but although he has done nice things for me in the past, it was short-lived, even though he asked me to marry him. But, actions speak louder than words. I couldn’t really put my finger on my exact feelings, because he twists things to make it my fault all the time, but you nailed it. Bottom line, I’m smarter and much more educated than he.
So many little boys, so few men. So very very few. We live in dark times. I believe personally porn is the largest instigator of all of this. Many (most?) men are exposed to that in childhood, and popular culture/marketing media, etc, just reinforce the values of porn. It also changes brain chemistry just like hard drugs. A "normal" woman is not as enticing as a coke addicted 21 year old with fake breasts, etc. It's a major problem. This isn't a manners issue, I don't believe. It's a serious spiritual malaise in our culture.

Thanks for this video!! I’ve dated/talked to a few of these types of guys! The obvious red flags are the guys who are manipulative or controlling. But recently I have been dealing with a guy who obsessively messaged me but refused to meet up in person, as well as another guy who took his sweet time responding to my texts and ignored my invitations to meet up. This video helped me confirm what I sensed all along in my gut: those guys were full of shit (pardon my passionate language) and wasting my time!! omg what you said about sarcasm is so true! I recently unfriended somebody i used to be close with because she allways makes me feel uncomfortable with her sarcasm. She won't stop even when I told her I don't like it. She usually would just stick her tongue out and then say "you're way too sensitive." I wish I saw this last month. This guy keeps on telling me " he is busy". Lesson learned. I will date someone who has time for me. Especially it was " getting to know" stages/initial stages. I was very much supportive & not being clingy myself. I allowed him to be busy & talk to me when he has time. Progress in getting to know is stagnant. And I'm done. Never again.

Yes I totally get what you said, and I totally agree. I have been in more than one relationship like this. A person that plays mind games. I knew i was worth more and i didn't compromise my values or morals. I just got out of the way and let the person roll on. I don't play mind games and i found someone that loves me, excepts me and takes time out to be with me. God had truly blessed me to have what i have. It was his doing not mine. I've never EVER met a man who felt well if he was not able to look down on me secretly or even openly. I've often heared that women should make themselves smaller than they are if they don't want to stay alone. The thing is: I can't respect a man who needs the bambi-eyed-girlie-girl to get selfconfidens. And love starts with respect. I don't understand why it is sooo immensly difficult for men just beeing a good human instead of notoriously showing what grate men they are... That sickens me. I come off as a Bambi eyed girlie girl (im really not on the inside) but trust me most of the guys I've met have played these games where they neg and do stupid things. A lot of these guys ended up with self-confident but homely girls. You're right though that men have major egos and need to look down on the woman their with. Men today are so insecure and easily threatened by anything, she's too smart, too thin, too successful, too pretty etc. The girl I know who gets guys to commit is an overweight girl who works at a veterinary clinic and lives with her parents at 27. She is a great person but I feel like the main reason guys date her is she's not intimidating.

The last "relationship" I was in did all of these 🙈 4 months later I realised he was an absolute malignant narcissist. I'm actually cringing at how easy I was sucked in to it all. Thank you for all the wonderful honest information. Once I learned to be happy being single, I realized I can wait for the person I truly want to be with, who truly wants to be with me. But it's helpful to have it laid out very plainly. Sometimes, because I'm a nice person, I make excuses for other people's behavior, instead of just acknowledging it's because he's not invested in the relationship.

Yeah! I absolutely agree. It is extremely irresponsible and damaging to teach people how to be manipulative and to go into the dating world not being genuine. It is automatic failure. Unfortunately it has become a virus infecting the majority of people and has caused a lot of heartache and grief.

The thing is that nowadays people in general are so rude and text after hours or days and you really don't know how to deal with it. It's frustrating and confusing because they'll play the card, oh i have things to do ect, which is not the real reason. They want to be seen as they are in charge. You can't even mention it to them, because again nowadays seems an acceptable behavior. I have excluded many people from my life due to that. But you want the truth? Hi Jason! Thank you for these thoughtful videos. They are realistic and full of (sometimes tough) love. I have a question about steamrollers: how do we deal with coworkers who are steamrollers? Because it’s not a dating situation, they can’t be completely avoided. How do we, women of high value, deal with them? How do we stand our ground without going down to their abusive level?
I've been there and done that. There were so many red flags I couldn't count them all. But I was young at the time and just wasn't thinking clearly after coming out of another relationship. I remember the sarcasm. But it wasn't directed toward me. It was always blaming other women for his bad luck. Either way it was manipulation. My mother said he was loony. Boy was she right. He was selfish, jealous and thought only of himself. It took a while but I finally left. I was sick of his excuses. I'm glad he's gone. I was madly in love with this guy. I don't think I ever totally got over it. It left too many scars. But at least I have great friends, family church family and other things to do. Hopefully at 53 I'll end up with a good man someday. Now that I'm older I know better what to look for.
You are right in everything you said! I met a player and a control freak.Being sarcastic,never had time ,bec we only talked when was convenient for him. Me being the type taht doesnt tolerate thid behaviour and if a person is making 3 mistakes and i see no will to change.REgardless the feeling i end everything. then i told him ok lets brake up. He didnt want to but he wanted to know me waiting for him. The best way for me to brake up with this typology of person in my case,was by saying sorry i meet someone else who is very serious ,has time and is very positive.
