@@thecreekcrawler Yessir slow retrieve ticking the bottom always been good to me ill my biggest saugeye have been caught on chatterbait. Been really good man haven't been able to fish as much been coaching the kids in softball, baseball and basketball. Congrats on your excellent season brother can't wait to see you in the big show!

Creek-- I need you to fish as late into the season as possible. I had shoulder surgery six weeks ago so my season ended before I got to touch the fall bite. So keep getting out there so I can fish vicariously through you! Great vid bud and congrats on a great season of fishing videos, it’s your best one yet.

Congrats on the milestone! The Senko probably works best when there’s still bait around. I don’t think there was any coincidence that bluegills were pecking at it one cast and bass were inhaling it the next. 😅 Now, just break that thing out early in the spring and skip it up under some brush on steep/undercut banks. 😉

I completely removed wacky rig from my repertoire. Just havnt fished the vertical cover i used to the way i used to. Essentially ive replaced it with a finesse c rig and shakey heads and started more horizontal presentations.

Nice Vid! About anything you put on a hook and cast out, you catch fish! Wendell uses wacky senkos alot all the time. He's catching giants today at Guntersville for fun day/pre-fishing for the Knucklhed tournament.

I seem to lose a few fish with those vmc weedless hooks.But if your in the rough stuff you got to sacrifice :{

Try using the 3/0 size. The weed guard on the smaller hooks tends to get in the way of a good hook set, especially on smaller bass. I use shimano slx med/lt cranking rod moderate action, which is kinda weird, but it keeps constant tension. Hook set is take out slack and long swift pull because trying to rip their jaw off doesn't seem to work as good, lol.

I have had great luck with them. I’ve lost a couple using them but that’s because my hooksets weren’t ideal.

That’s how I hookset. Reel down until you feel the fish and just a nice swipe across my body. Nothing too crazy

If I’m fishing saltwater mono is great especially around structure. Braid and Fluoro don’t do so well on the abrasion front
