That actually could've been an interesting storyline. If he showed up without the belt, they could've set up a rat race event where all the wrestlers competing for the title race to that tow lot to retrieve the belt.
Yeah... But that would have required that he let Vince know that he lost the belt. Vince is, well, he's not exactly known for having a lot of patience when people annoy him.
It was an extra fee he had to pay for waking the lot owner up to give him access before they were even open so he could make his flight. Do you pay attention?
I'm a bugger fan of maven as a wrestler now than I am back than... went back and watched some of your matches. In context, watching the channel, I appreciate it more now.
Hey Maven, im not like a "Maven mark" or anything, but man your channel is SUPER informative, and gives great perspective on the "behind the scenes of kayfabe". I appreciate it!
Maven you deserve much more viewers your content brings such a fresh insight into the business and your entertaining you got humor and most importantly honesty which wrestling fans love keep up the good work i honestly never really knew who maven was and what exactly his character was but ever since i found your youtube channel i starter watching your wrestling you were pretty underrated man
I saw Paige's divas belt in those videos that leaked. I'm shocked they actually let them take it home. I can't imagine the things some of them would do with it.
Well they do put up a deposit for the big gold ones AFAIK. Also it limits the responsibilities to one individual, can you imagine having an intern/backstage guy or two assigned to take those belts from place? It could quickly get lost conveniently or simply get left behind in the shuffle. Chris Jericho said in an interview that when he won both world championships (undisputed champion) he posed naked wearing only those. He made it seem as if it's a thing most if not all of them do.
Lmfao why wouldn't they let them take it home? That's ignorant as hell of you to say. If you're a child I get it if you thought that as a kid. The belts belong to the wrestlers and it's not just for show and kept under their ownership I guarantee you many wrestlers wouldn't be scratching tooth and nail for the title shots if they didn't get to wear it personally. It will get taken away from you if you do something very dangerous or stupid in your personal life with it.
Did you get a replica with it? I thought wrestlers get two belts, one for televised shows and one is a replica you could keep even if you lose the belt
@@user-zv5jd6yg7zthe replica he is talking about is a copy of the original that wwe gives the wrestlers so they can keep it kind of like a trophy, the likes of Eddie guerrero and Kurt Angle were shown having those copies of the undisputed wwe title in their locker room during 2002-2004 same as john cena who had the us and wwe spinner belts at his house during the segment where edge went to his home to beat up his dad in 2006.
if they do they probably go the rout of some belt collectors do and get the belts made direct from the belt maker, since depending on the wording of the deal the belt maker might own the copyright to the belt design and if they have permission to use the WWF/E logo or nit
Honestly the Hardcore Titlebelt was My favorite one out of the entire Belt line of the WWE. Unique in its Bizarre design and as well as its rules of how one was to win under its conditions.
Championships and stuff like that they have replicas because when you see him in their houses you see championship belt sitting behind them yeah it's just a replica just like what you would buy but a little higher quality
Nowadays with many belt makers, it looks like pro wrestlers hire these makers to make an identical replica. Hulk Hogan kept his and looks like matt cardona does too
Bruh, talk about perfect timing Mav, cause they would've chewed your ass up if you came in "see what had happened was, my car got towed" 😂 funny story and congratulations on all your success 👏🏽🎉
They should make a show about you. Like comedy of a misunderstood up-and-coming wrestler trying to get to the top of the business but learns tough but rewarding life lessons instead of
I’m sure WWE has alternate options like other dummies or identical replicas. Sure there would have been atleast handful of wrestlers who either misplaced the belt or simply forgot to bring it
I always thought they just made more cause so many people get so many belts and keep them so long in cases and out sn about it only makes sense to have more than 1 of each
I’ve heard that WWE will give a replica belt to someone who’s won that championship. Like them giving an Intercontinental Championship replica to Gunther for example
If I remember correctly Maven was a schoolteacher? He always spoke more clearly and differently than others. I definitely get the teacher vibe from this.
Of course. If he lost that belt or couldn't defend it he's fired or fined a higher price out of his pay than the car cost. WWE didn't fuck around about the property back then considering wrestlers used to take the belts and never bring them back during brand feuds.
