Nyas true potential was spinjitzu burst. HEAR ME OUT: First of all, it looks exactly the same as when cole did it in MOM. Secondly, Nya is surrounded by water when doing it. Every single ninja was glowing when they unlocked their true potential, but when Nya did it she didn't, and when cole does spinjitzu burst he doesn't either. Nyas true potential was actually when she merged with the sea in seabound, because she's glowing then.

Theory: The Stone Army are corrupted Oni and Kozu was the Warlord of Vengeance. The idea is that the Overlord first awoke during the conflict between FSM and the Oni Warlords (according to Crystalized, conflict makes the Overlord stronger) and at some point came into direct conflict with the Oni, specifically an army commanded by the Warlord of Vengeance. The Overlord would likely be able to overpower all of them with considerable ease (though the warlord may have taken some effort) and corrupted them into his own army (the Overlord has been shown to be able to corrupt things in all of his appearances through various means, including very powerful individuals such as Garmadon, Wu, and the Devourer). There are also striking similarities between the Stone Army and the Oni, including completely black skin, demonic appearance, short-legged figures used in their armies, and the helmets of higher ranking Stone Soldiers vaguely resembling Oni horns. The reason why I specifically claim the Warlord of Vengeance (and claim that they became Kozu) as opposed to the Warlord of Hatred (the one associated with indestructable stone) comes in three forms, all of which derived from the Mask of Vengeance. The Mask of Vengeance is shown to have given users four arms, which Kozu and other Stone Army warriors possess. The Mask of Vengeance is also the red mask, which aligns with the color of the Stone Army. Lastly, the Mask of Vengeance seems to be the only unguarded mask as prior to Borg Industries discovering it it is completely unknown where it was, whereas the other two were safely protected, one in the Palace of Secrets, and one in the Oni Temple. Both masks were likely placed there by Mystake and FSM, which would imply they never found the Mask of Vengeance. This is also supported by Harumi and the Sons of Garmadon not acting to steal the Mask of Deception and further their plan until the Mask of Vengeance was found. Therefore, it is certainly possible that the Warlord of Vengeance encountered the Overlord and was defeated by him, rather than FSM and Mystake, and their mask was lost to history until Sons of Garmadon.
This sounds super fun and I really like this and it has me thinking Would Lloyd technically body all three warlords then? Also, I know the history about Wu and Garmadon and then the FSM/overlord and the oni, but now I’m wondering more The overlord is the direct equal to the FSM, just in the opposite way so I wonder if it’s just one big thing idk how to explain The oni wouldn’t have crossed over until Garmadon or the overlord weren’t in power anymore but this next part I’ve thought about for a while. Garmadon talked about how the reason he took over ninjago was to prevent the oni from crossing over. The overlord always had a somewhat similar goal, taking over ninjago but never going to other realms. It’s possible the oni and the overlord also knew something in regards to post crystallized stuff (source dragons, forbidden five etc) although I don’t think the five are that strong and how a good oni Lloyd story could defeat them but 🤷🏻♂️

Theory: also spoilers for part 2 of dragons rising: In part 2 it's revealed that the merge was caused by Wu but I don't think he did it for a bad reason but a good one. I believe lord ras capturing the source dragon caused the realms to be unstable so Wu decided to do something which causes the merge, which actually saved all the realms from destruction, wu even says something about being united in the flashback of pt2. But maybe Wu wasn't expecting the merge to happen as quickly as it did so that's why he was caught off guard
I have a theory. It might be stupid but i think it holds some water. I think that Lord Ras's master is one of the source dragons. Even the ninja are not shure what has level of power to teleport Ras and his dojo. Source dragons have that kind of power. I know it migt be stupid and that there is no evidence.
It’s probably the source dragon of strength cus he could fly up to talk to his master like a source dragon would do and he said to arin that his master showed him “strength” which could mean his master is the source dragon of strength SPOILERS FOR DRAGONS RISING SEASON 2 PART 2 The source dragon of motion said that one source dragon got killed so that could be the source dragon of strength faking is death *insert el macho I faked my death meme* and in Lloyd’s visions There is a source dragon attacking him could be the source dragon of strength sooo it’s not stupid imo
A theory about the increase of elemental powers/the new ones we have never heard of before (Examples: Technology, reflex, fusion, etc) Since we know that the merge caused all 16 realms to merge into one and all that, but what if each of these new elemental powers are connected to their realms of origin? or more specifically Sora's. She is from Imperium, a place that runs on dragon energy and all sorts of technological things that make up it's city, so what if when the merge happened, Sora got the power over techonology due to her being from Imperium, a place PACKED with techonolgy. And this also explains why it isn't like the elemental powers we see from ninjago pre-merge (water, fire, lightning, earth, ice, etc) these are all natrual made powers. And sora's in a way is man-made. Because her city as a whole and it's lifestyle is man-made in a way, its pure techonolgy and dragon powered. So this can make sense for why she has gotten this elemental power for her own, and why it is different from all the other ninja's powers
I was already pretty disappointed when the Overlord returned in Crystallized because Zane literally sacrificed himself to save Ninjago and defeating him. But bringing him back _again_ in Dragon's Rising is just bad writing at this point
Theory 1: the same thing that happened to wu happened to garmadon and he can’t directly interfere with the surface world anymore so he’s having ras reverse the merge caused by his brother Theory 2: the f5 were part of the hunters from chima. both groups are humanoid animals the f5 being wolves and they both committed genocide on tigers in the wyldness, chima being an island in the wyldness.

I would honestly love to see the Overlord reimagined, really doubling down on his puppetmaster persona which was briefly touched upon in Crystalized: Always there, guiding events from the shadows, his influence permeating history... imagine us learning, for example, that he was the one responsible for the creation of shatterspin (and the rise of the forbidden five) to begin with. Not necessarily their master or the lycan king or whatever, but just the one who set it in motion, breeding conflict and imbalance throughout the realms. I would love to see that

ok my theory is that the merge happened because wu destroyed the iron doom which destroyed the other 3 time blades. That destabilized reality which caused the merge.
i mean, if it wont be the overlord, it has to be some omniscent being like them, maybe one of the source dragons. But it would be nice for a new version of the overlord, i mean im tired of them too but... theyre always the big bad at the end of the series

Hey I just have one more thing does anyone remember how when ninjas were in yangs temple at some point they fell down into a white big whole thing and it seemed like it was infinite but they grabbed onto smt and went back however I am wondering what would happen if it continued and was it kind of connected to maybe another world like the preeminent’s I forgot that ghost land name
I don't remember that episode at all except for the water part, but wasn't Yang just materializing their fears? I don't really think that it was all to real.
