In my teenage years the Frampton Comes Alive album comes out. My friends and I listen to it religiously we loved it. Life goes on I got older I got married I had children. On my 50th birthday my son bought tickets for the both of us to see Peter Frampton. Two generations enjoying the same performer with one of the greatest days of my life we both had a great time I'll never forget that day.🎸🎸🎸
Oh, so you listened to it 'religiously'!? Mr. Robert, I have a true story for you. It's enough to make a believer out of a doubter: He's mentioned on page 2 of Mr. Frampton's memoirs, my earliest childhood, 'JD'. When we were kids, I woke up on Christmas morning with 'JD', and he received a guitar as a present from his Dad. About 15 years later, Peter Frampton sent 'JD' to Caracas, Venenzuela in search of his lost Les Paul. 39 years after that, 'JD', showed up at my brother's deathbed the day before he died. He stood next to me while I sang and read from The Gospel according to John to my brother. Back in the day, I never got around to listening to the "I'm In You" album; only the title track, and his cover of 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'. Little did I know that there was a song on it, entitled-"St. Thomas: Do You Know How I Feel?" True story, Mr. Robert!
I remember seeing Frampton when I was in high school at JFK stadium in Philadelphia June 1977, 100k+ people there. It was 95 degrees out and the sun was just beating down on us. Lynyrd Skynyrd(Pre-crash lineup) came on right before he did. They encored with "Freebird" and the crowd was going crazy. It was like how do you top that? Frampton came out and crushed it. Out of all of the amazing concerts I've been to, this was one of the best.
Sounds like a great concert Christian happy that you were able to experience it when I saw Frampton it was great I will never forget it as long as I live I was right up against the stage not even in a seat. My son and I 2 Generations experiencing the same performer amazing. Been to many concerts in my life but this is the only concert that I've been to with my son so it was extra special to me.🎸🎸🎸
.......except that J Geils Band performed before both of them, and killed it. My friends and I left during Frampton, he was a snooze. I must agree, it was hot as balls that day!
Great story Christian! I'm from the Philly suburbs and The Rolling Stones in 1981 at JFK was my first show. When you described the heat, I could totally relate, everytime I saw a concert there it was scorching! Along with the smoke and people puking, I miss that stadium! I envy you, seeing Peter Frampton during that period would have been a dream!
Peter, you may be losing strength in your hands but you are stronger than ever in our hearts!! Saw you last year here in Dallas at the Clapton Festival...you were the highlight of an evening filled with great guitarists!
Kind of impossible not to love e Peter Frampton. Such a remarkable talent and he just seems like such a nice guy. Looking forward to reading his memoir.
I am and always will be a Humble Pie fan because your live album - Rockin' the Fillmore East" - was what really spoke to me about musical dynamics in a rock band. God bless you and thank you!
Not to mention the absolute most underrated rock singer of all time, Steve Marriott. Peter Frampton was a bit too sophisticated for the rawness of Mr. Marriott (RIP) I imagine.
Peter seems so down to earth and honest. I hope to be able to read his book soon. I saw the short bio on CBS, what an interesting life he's had. He's taking this IBM disease in stride, no feeling sorry for himself. Best of luck Peter, hoping for a return to music, but thanks for the memories!
October is a very special mounth in Lima,Peru. There are a lot of traditions in my country. This book will be my present. We love you.Greetings from Peru.
I was 13 years old at that Day on the Green concert in the 70's and I will never forget how exciting it was to be immersed in such a huge crowd of people celebrating the music we loved so much. Your music has been part of the soundtrack of my life and still brings me great joy. Thanking you just doesn't seem to cover it really. Looking forward to reading your memoir. Peace.
I remember that summer so vividly. Turned 13 also and my older sister had the album. I played it endlessly throughout the summer in my sister's room. Lucky for me my sister wasn't around a lot. A lot of life changing events that summer. Oh boy!
This is my little way of saying thank you from my heart for your likes and comments on my personal and fan pages. I and my management are saying a big thank you. Much love from me to you and your family. We Appreciate All Of It.
To the comment that nice guys don't always finish last, such is true but being a nice person myself people have a tendency of taking advantage of nice people. Human Nature people are out for their own interest. So I would say that good people finish last the majority of the time but not all the time.🎸🎸🎸
@@Mr.Robert1 You are right, and then you are wrong :o). "You're just surrounded by the wrong people." The other nice people are out there, you just have to look for them. "I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me..."
When I was a teen I wanted to hang out with Peter Frampton. Now I'm old, and I still wanna hang out with Peter Frampton. Thank you for a lifetime of music and memories :)
I was 2 in 1976. My father got the live album on 8 track. I *remember* listening to it since I was 3. I’ve been listening ever since. We went through about 20 copies of that album alone. I only needed to buy 1 LP. Tapes and CDs though…😂 I only recently started listening to Humble Pie. You are a massive musical influence on me as a singer and guitarist. I’m gonna get your book now. Thank you so much Mister Frampton! In answer to the question you have been asking all my life, “Yes.” 😊❤
Peter is such delight to listen to. I have to listen to the video several times because I can't concentrate when I'm looking at his face If he let his hair grow, I swear he'd still look like the 70s Pete Frampton. He is getting older, or so he says, but he looks damned good!
Yesssssss.....💖🎵🎵🙋🏾♀️ The ultimate Peter Frampton in all his glory, young, handsome, at the top of his game, and let's not forget, that beautiful mane!💖🙂
Thanks GODCHRIST for you Peter Frampton...Mr Peter Frampton. I first heard your sound your music in 1976 i was 14yrs, now 58yrs. Our music : Spanish and English are timeless with real meaning and structure....THANK YOU AGAIN ND MAY GODCHRIST CONTINUE TO BLESS GUIDE YOU. 😀🌏🌎🌍🎂🍸☕🍻
Cheers Peter! 👏 - I'm gonna borrow a fantastic phrase which I have read in numerous comments here; because it's so apt: Your exceptional music contributions to this planet take up a considerable allocation in the "soundtrack of my life". Love, light and wellbeing to you👍
This the first time I've subscribe to a famous musician, but I no longer get overwhelmed by anybody famous life is to short,it's just nice a can finally speak to someone i admire
Mr Frampton thank You so very much for Frampton Comes Alive...one of the most important albums of all time...I just wanted to learn guitar picking when I listened to Show me the way...genius x
Peter - Thank you for sharing your life story, and the depths of your soul in your music, and for inspiring this 64 yr old to go out and purchase a brand new ‘76 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, and hacking away at it for the past 44 years. You’ve truly been the soundtrack to this fan’s life. Peace.
I was there for "Frampton Comes Alive" tour in Dallas and remember the studio recording (January Sound Studio...I think) of "Do You Feel Like We Do" that played on KZEW (The Zoo). Some of the best music ever during a time full of the best music ever!
First aware of Peter was in Memphis summer of '73. Local FM played his cover of Stevie Wonder's "I Believe..." Was so excited when home town friend Stan Sheldon was playing with him a few years later.

It was towards the end of "76 when I first heard Frampton Comes Alive . My friend stopped at a Record store to buy the tape .We were in his Dad's 1955 Chevrolet and headed down the highway , both our heads doing the bopping up and down classic as you do . One of my most favourite memories of all time . I'm gonna do Show me the Way tomorrow nite at the local on the strength of this video . You are the Man Mr.Frampton .
From the moment you exploded onto the scene with your album "Frampton Comes Alive", which immediately dominated FM radio "nationwide" with all those great songs will always be such a major part of my 20th and 21st orbits around the Sun, with many others to follow will always be playing in my head at one time or another for the rest of my life.
So happy that I was able to take my Daughter to see PF in the summer of 2018. As a musician, I always saw him as one of the royalty of rock. I was a fan before "Frampton Comes Alive" and was even more of a fan in January of 1976.
Saw Pete at Soldier Field in Chicago on August 13th, 1977. I was 15 years old and worked for the Chicago Park District. All I had to do was show them my Employee ID badge at the gate and walk in for free. There was no connection between the gate and the vending office so I got to see a lot of concerts this way. The line up for that show was UFO, Rick Derringer, Bob Seager, and of course... Peter Frampton. Being an employee I could get backstage by just looking like I belonged and I got to talk to Pete before he went on stage. I told him "Frampton Comes Alive" helped me get laid and he just laughed and said "Glad I could help" He was very cool about it.
Listening to it in the car. Some of my Uber passengers are enjoying it, too. I was about 5 when I found Mom's old copy of Frampton Comes Alive in the storage room. That's the album that made me decide I wanted to take music lessons. Here I am 31 years later actually getting paid to make music.
In the late sixties when we were teenagers, ‘still at school ‘ week after week on Thursdays we would flock in droves to go and see ‘The Herd’ play at Worthing Assemble Hall, UK. A pop group of which Pete Frampton was the lead singer. Gary, also a member and co lead had a great voice too.... on their album, ‘ I Can Fly’ Gary sings a song called, ‘Sad’, to the music, Air on a G String. Astounding! Please check this Album out. You won’t be disappointed 😎

I am enjoying the audiobook, read by Peter Frampton. It is possibly the best audiobook I have experienced. It is a total experience and he is a great storyteller, it doesn’t feel read at all. And he is great at impersonating the characters he has encountered in his life. George Harrison, Bill Wyman, a Mafia guy and more. Oh and Peter Frampton is possibly the most likeable celebrity you will ever encounter.

Peter you are on my list along with Jeff Beck , Eric Clapton , etc . I grew up on this . I saw The Doors and Hendrix - THREE times each . Stay well .

Hi Peter! I saw you at the L.A. Forum in 1976 and still remember the show well. I love your new blues release, especially your cover of "I am a King Bee." I hope you are happy and healthy. We appreciate your dedication to your music and guitar playing.
I have the newspaper clipping from the SF chronicle of his 1st day in the green. It's in my scrapbook of all the concerts I went to in the 70s. Peter's album "Acoustic Classics" is a beautiful unplugged mix of 11 of his songs, from Fig tree Bay to I'm in you. I highly recommend it..
"Frampton Comes Alive"? Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it." Saw you live a couple of years back; you haven't lost a step. All the best to you, 'cause you gave all the best to us. (Just bought the audiobook.)
Peter , I was shopping earlier this evening , I saw it and picked it up ! I saw the book and bought it before I saw this video or even knew you had written it . I will treasure it alway's ! Back in the era leading up to your live solo record , I was being lulled by the 3 pick-up Black Beauty model by way of various photographs on LP covers of different artists , yourself included . So by the time `Comes Alive' was released I carried those images in my mind every single day so when you released the record featuring you playing it on the cover and also your T.V. appearances to support the record it was like heaven on earth for me ! I saw you in `77 but you were playing a Silverburst by then , still sounded awesome though ! It wasn't until recent years was I informed that your Black beauty was a `54 model originally ? Thank you Peter sir' for giving me such a ultimate and total level of inspiration to make me want to play someday ! God bless you and all those who you hold dear !!!

I live in Charleston too. You might remember this. About ten years ago, Frampton came to the Clay Center. I really wanted to see that show and couldn't because I had to work. I had to settle for reading the review the next day in the Gazette. That's one of my minor regrets. I told myself that if he ever comes back anywhere close, I will go, no matter what. I don't guess that's going to happen now.
I LOVE FRAMPTONISMS... ... Guitar licks at their finest. Thanks for everything, Peter. The great night in '99, and all of the jam-a-longs til today! I Don't Need No Doctor... ... at "11" 😎👍 Yeah, baby.
That's great, funny! Love you, Peter. And it was the Day On The Green in the Oakland Colosseum, just across San Francisco Bay, from San Francisco. Two weekends in a row. I know I was there. And in one of the most iconic photo's of the first weekend Day On The Green... it's a shot looking down on the crowd from side stage. You are in it. And so am I. I've got a rather well endowed woman who was adamant she be allowed on my shoulders to play the Tambourine you zinged me, ("On Three"). Just a couple rows back. Fleetwood Mac, who finished before you were up on the scaffolding above the stage watching you play, they were somewhat obscured by the Stage Scrim. Stevie Nicks was drinking champagne and tossing me strawberries, my friend was a bit incredulous when you came over and addressed me about the Tambourine, LOL. I've been carting that Tambourine with me since 1976 in the hopes I could reunite you wth it. Thank you for the music. I tried so hard to make it the Vina Robles Amphitheatre last year...I pray the years to come are good to you.
I've watched your interview with Rick Beato a few times now Peter... I'll be buying your book now... Ima' 62 yr old guy who's luved your music for decades now... All the Best to ya 👊🤠
just finished the audio and I loved it! Thank you Mr Peter Frampton to let us in your life like that. You and Jimmy Page were my first inspirations to wanting to learning to play guitar.
I saw you last year here in St. Louis with Jason Bonham opening. Great show(s)! Time with my son ... priceless. Thank you for touching our hearts with your music! Can't wait to read your book! 🎸
Hi Peter, i´ve seen how do you play the Guitar with Eric Clapton, While my Guitar gently weeps. Wow I don´t find the Word´s, the best Performance ever. RESPECT Peter, RESPEKT! I learn from you

Hi Peter, i ‘m a big fan. Could you plane a french version of your book ? It will be soo sweet for your french canadian’s fan. Greeting from Quebec city Sir Frampton.
Still sad that I missed going to a concert on his last tour. I bought tickets to one at the nearest U.S. city to where we live, but my husband had forgotten to ensure he had updated his Canadian passport. But, I did see him a few years ago in Belleville, Ontario and it was a great show. Loved when he did “Black Hole Sun. My husband didn’t know it was a Soundgarden song.
Dear Peter I am a photographer in cleveland ohio I photographed you one time In concert. Also my brother in law had myositis so I know this disease I'm sad to hear you have it to I hope you have good luck with it and stay healthy God bless
So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Last December, unaware of your diagnosis or the finale tour, I decided to learn the bass part for "Baby, I Love Your Way" and perform the song with some friends at a concert.
*Frampton comes alive was my very first 8 -track I received for Christmas I suppose around 1972? I begged for 2 months for that 8 -track player and by golly Santa came though. good times. yes I smoked my very first wacky backy cigarettes' listening to it too* Thanks for the good times peter.. rock on

Saw him with Humble Pie at Fillmore West and twice at The Winterland Ballroom where part of Frampton Comes Alive was recorded. Then many years later playing at the Knocti Harbor Inn at Clear Lake.
You are one of my guitarists who I believe to be the best.I listen to your solos and they just flow like water. Your ability to comfort the ear is top notch and so soothing to listen to . I even liked Im in you I think the album after peter frampton comes alive which I think is one of the finest albums ever recorded. If I could pick 2 people to meet it would be Perter Frampton and Ted Nugent and a side of Alex Lifeson. Peter have you ever worked with Steve Morse? He came to Rochester,ny as an opener and he was as good or better than whom he opened for. I sincerely feel for you with that disease. Lets hope they find some kind of a cure.
