Here’s the $500 tour of studio phenix, where Frampton Forgets The Words was recorded! New album “Frampton Forgets The Words” out now. Listen here: peterframpton....
The more videos I see of Peter, the more I think he’s one of the kindest and warmest human being I’ve ever seen and I’m not even talking of what a world class musician he is as well. I love this guy.
Yes,he is a down to earth great, talented musician and a sweet kind, gentleman. I'd love to meet him in person and thank him for the music. The CD that went to the space station for 6 months is special
It would be nice if he had some sort of talent, '76's Comes Alive was a lark that would never happen again, Japanese girls will squeal at anything western, that's why it was recorded there.
@@riverratbond007: I dunno, George Harrison asked Peter to be available to stand in if necessary if Eric Clapton for the 1971 Concert for Bangla Desh (Clapton was strung out on heroin and almost missed the shows). And David Bowie hired him as the lead guitarist for his 1989 world tour. So I think Peter has "some sort of talent." Just my opinion, and you are welcome to yours, with respect.
Peter Frampton is an icon, and is music will be revered for many years. The 60's and 70's were the best time to grow up, and I hit the lottery being able to grow up in this period when music like his was created. I'm glad to see Mr. Frampton is alive and well. :)
Peter, you're a treasure to the world of music and especially guitar, of course. I've always admired that you didn't just keep trying to repeat your success, but went on different journeys and brought us along. Thanks for all that you've given us.
Wonderful human being, guitarist, performer and writer. So glad he is still filling our lives and ears with his sense of joy and fun. Thank you Mr Frampton!
One of my most special days was America's 200th birthday, July 4th 1976. I got to see Peter Frampton at the Nashville Fairgrounds when "Frampton Comes Alive" was the biggest album in the world, and all the red white and blue joints being passed around made life a wonderful thing!
Thanks Peter, for EVERYTHING you've given us through the years. Our lives have been enriched through your music and through your generosity of spirit. As a not-so-bad guitarist myself, I have to thank you for a huge push of inspiration as I was just digging in to the guitar when Comes Alive came out. Truly, thank you!
Thank you Peter .... It's a really wonderful place, with a really wonderful person and musician. I live in Florence, Italy. I was born exactly 11 years after you, on April 22, 1961 and when I was 17, I fell in love with your music. Wonderful time !!!! I wish you a good continuation. Bye !!!!
What a building that is out of this world beautiful with the wood,,with the brick & all the photos of you & all the friends you've met throughout your career. How fantastic is that! . There's you with lots of photos with so many friends friends & paraphernalia of all your years of meeting others. What a buzz it must be (even though I haven't a clue about what you said talking about amps. What a kind man you are The recording studio must be out of this World, all those buttons to twist & tweak & love the stuff you've kept for donkeys years . Just Wow! What a wonderful life. Peter Frampton, you rock! Thank you
Actually I just listened to this CD in my car last week and this song never gets old! I still have my Frampton comes alive poster lol! Love him been a fan for over 40 yrs and always looking forward to hearing more from Frampton 🎸🎶🎤🎧✌💖 P.S.🎂my birthday was April 12 happy birthday my friend
The King of 1976.I was 15 at the time and the live album is etched in my mind forever. Just got done listing to the entire Somethin's Happening album again. I Wanna Go To The Sun is one of my favorite songs ever. The guitar solo and outro is so freaking good. Great studio tour. Love those guitars.
@@juanvicente866 Agreed. Peters tone on that album is so good. Always wondered what guitars/amps he used on that album. I have the CD in my truck and now that the weather is getting warm, I put the windows down, hit play, and just drive and smile.
Drooling over equipment, guitars. Isn’t Peter Frampton a warm-hearted fellow? Love his guitar playing soooooooooo much. Thanks for the charming tour of your studio. Would love to be a fly on the wall while you all are making the music. I loved it!
What a great guy. The more I see him sharing his life and love of music and his beloved guitars the more I love to hear his tales. Great how he drops in many known names from the past. Thank you Peter. Love it. 07/24
I'll bet you can just feel the sound in there, without having to even play a note. The music lives forever in a studio like that, having seen and heard so much.
...Peter, thanks for your great music mate. I can't tell you how many parties i went to when i was young, ....and Frampton Comes Alive was crank'n out loud ...........the BEST time of my life !!!...................cheers from Australia !!
Very, very cool this tour of Phenix Studios. I would give $ 100,000 to visit him in person, too bad I was born poor. lol Peter, you are and will always be our idol. Take care and may God bless you infinitely.
*Love the RING door bell playing the first notes of “DO YOU FEEL LIKE I DO! Classic Frampton to say the least! This video demonstrates what a great guy he truly is! I saw a video he made with his daughter called - “What’s in my bag!” And she is just like her dad! An ANGEL on earth 🌎! Just a sweetheart!*
Just downloaded the album, look forward to listening. I was blessed to see Peter, his band, his son Julian’s band, along w Jason Bonham October 2019, his second-to-last show on his Finale Farewell tour. Fitting that the final show was in ‘Hello San Francisco’. Speaking of, Live in San Francisco March 24, 1975 is a great album recorded at KSAN-FM studio. A year before Frampton Comes Alive. Cheers Peter. 🙏🏼 Oh.. and gotta say this.. one of my most memorable times listening to music, growing up, winter of 1976, Frampton Comes Alive just released, four guys, drinking beer, we listened to all four sides of that album, start to finish with hardly a word spoken, sitting in a dimly lit room. Marantz 2275 receiver Infinity 2000 II loudspeakers, Dual turntable. Bliss. 👊🏻
The drum that John Siommons played ... Some other musical instruments ... Everything is taken care of with great affection! Each object seems to have been placed in its own place, as if it were waiting for it! It is very exciting !! 💓👏💓👏💓👏💓

Today is Elvis' birthday (January 8th.), or would have been if he were still alive. And it's good day to tell this story: Speaking of illustrious recording studios, on the day after Elvis died (August 17th., 1977), I found myself in Studio 914, Rockland County, N.Y., where Bruce Springsteen recorded the song-'Born To Run'. My late older brother was there that day, recording a 'demo' of song he's written that would eventually end up being recorded by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. In the middle of the recording session, I started to sing this old Elvis tune: From 1954, during his 'Sun Records', and the song is-'Trying To Get To You.' Unfortunately, they ended up recording over it; which is a shame, because I was in really good form that day. My brother accompanied me on guitar; Oh Lord, I wish I still had that recording! Anyway, at the time, my brother had a 'roadie' working for him and his band named Jon 'JD' Dworkow. The following year, Jon, and another 'roadie' named Joey Wirsing, recovered a lost, stolen, Les Paul for my brother; and then 2 years later, Peter Frampton sent Jon to South America in search of 'The Phenix': the very same 1954 Black Les Paul that you see in this video. Hey, does anyone know what kind of guitar Scotty Moore used to play?
You've come a long way Peter since I last saw you at Sunday Break in Austin , one of many performances I attended throughout your career . What a talented musician you are and thanks for the memories 👍🎸

Thank you Peter... I saw you at the Florida Theater in Jacksonville a way back and I always admired you for allowing fans to record only the first 1 or 2 songs, then have a rule.. NO RECORDING after that... that is the way it should be... absorbing the music. Frampton Comes Alive was my very first album so you've been swirling in my head for 47 years now :)

Awesome tour, Pete! Thanks. I never get tired of listening to you talk about music or write about music or play music. You are and always have been one of my favorite artists ever since I bought FCA back in 1976. (And then after I fell in love with that album, I quickly snatched up your first four solo albums and the Pie Fillmore album...)
So glad you are happy and well Pete - and a gorgeous studio. Nice to be surrounded by great memories (long past and recent past), great gear, good friends, and of course beautiful guitars. With much affection...should you decide to go out for another tour I'll be there! "...neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I'm shocked!!! Phenix is really, a dream !!!! It's completely, incredible! Much more than a music studio, that place has life! It has a soul! It is also a musical art gallery, with rare and special photos, guitars, amplifiers!!...😧😧😧😧
" Phoenix " is reborn from the ashes of fire. I ask your permission for you, Mr Frampton ... I would like to say that your life is an example of rebirth. I admire your energy and your strength in always inventing yourself. You create new works ... Tours, ballet music, shows with musical encounters (Circus and Steve Miller), new albums ... There are so many things ... So many achievements ... You are adorable! You are a life reference, even for people with chronic pain diseases. Please believe me: myositis will not dominate you! 🙌🙌👊👊🤲🤲🙏🙏
