Will Jones it’s a play on words. Miss me can refer to feeling sad by their absence or it can mean a failure of accuracy. So he asks if they missed him in a way that implies the former but then does a visual gag to prove the latter interpretation.

The reason why Jim Carrey was an excellent Mask because he had the opportunity to do what the does best. Impersonation. Basically he juz knocked himself out with this role.
Also, Jim Carrey's face is the total opposite of Kristen Stewart's. He can morph his face into anything. Search for his Clint Eastwood impersonations, it is downright spooky.

There was actually a cartoon series with Rob Paulson. Rob did so good at impersonating Jim he actually dubbed over the film in other places. I'd suggest watching the Split Personality episode of the cartoon. It's definitely a best episode. 🥰🥰😁
I’d also suggest watching the two part pilot episode, Bride of Pretorius, Shrink Rap and Counterfeit Mask as well, as they are are great episodes to watch, along with any episodes that features The Mask entirely as I find them to be pretty brilliant to watch on.
Amazing movie. I remember watching it during my school days and comparing it to the cartoon. Camron diaz never looked this beautiful in any other movie.. ever

i love this movie, simply because i love the fact that whoever wears this mask basically becomes a cartoon character. i wish i could do that shit, would make some places a lot less boring. Funfact, in the early comics, the mask was a lot more brutal.
Dorian didn’t become a cartoon character. Jim carreys character is like that because that’s his personality. The masks gives you reality warping powers but how you use them is up to you. You can become a powerful villain or a gag character who is always making jokes.
