#HabitWhiplash
Hi, welcome to Adulting With a Disability, my name is Martha, today I want to talk about what we can do when our very best laid out plans get stopped in their track and how to overcome them.
For the past couple of months to a year I have had the very best of intentions to exercise every day. I believe I have done everything I can to make this habit as easy as possible.
I have set up my workout station, I have a reward system set up [crossing off each day I work out on a calendar], I have a long term goal of being able to stay independent and fit into a nice dress. I have even changed up my routine for variety.
Even though I have done all this I am still dragging my ass around to workout.
And I keep getting sick or hurt and have to rest.
So my workout is very, stop, start, stop, start and I am FRUSTRATED!!!
Maybe my standards are too high - is every day too much? But I can’t guarantee I’ll do every second day - so much easier to do every day.
Maybe life is full of starts and stops - so I should accept when I can’t workout and celebrate when I do???
I guess that if you do when you can, all the cans add up over time.
I hope you have enjoyed this video, leave me a comment, see you next time!
