@GeorgiaDow Agreed!!! Will you please read books as a side channel 🙏😆 I would love to listen to you as a 'book on tape' while I'm trying to go to sleep!!!!!!!!💞
What is the difference between anxiety and stress? Right now I just kind of see them as interchangeable terms most of the time. Also when I was on anxiety medication I took it as solution to both anxiety AND stress because of how similar they seem.
@GeorgiaDow. I just found you (thank you algorithm, even a broken clock is right twice a day haha) and I'm thrilled to see you're at 240,000 subscribers!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 I can't wait to see you get even bigger!
Wow, I understood the general gist of what Anxiety can look like but it was really interesting hearing anxiety described in the way you did! Really excited for more videos.
I suffer from general anxiety and i feel like my brain is going at a 1000 miles per hour an i hyper ventalate i think about good, bad thoughts and that i don’t feel good enough
Invaluable support that is so needed. Thank you Georgia. Many of us need a coach and teacher who’s got our back with reminders and insight. Not only helps us with our own journey, but equips us to be ready to help others. Well done.
I’m really looking forward to your channel Georgia. Do you teach DBT skills. I’ve had anxiety for most of my life and try these skills have helped me so much. I’m also going to try fitness plus including warm down and mindfulness - hoping this will help.🙂I’m a kiwi fan.
Awesome start to the channel! Suggest using a noise reduction filter on video before uploading (lots of noise in background). Also maybe pick a single background color or slow down the color change (got a bit distracting)
Excellent video! I'm going to recommend all your videos to all my friends!! My question is how come the cavemen adapted so seemingly quickly to the dangers of their ancient world but thousands of years later we cant adapt to our more modern problems? I mean I know some problems are very modern like just starting in the past 100 years but we haven't had to run away from a tiger in quite a while. It's strange how the body can be so adaptive for some things like if I don't lift weights for a few weeks or months, I lose muscle mass because my body thinks I don't need that much muscle anymore, and then the body is so slow to adapt to other things like overactive anxiety. The body is so fascinatingly strange!
Actually cavemen did not adapt quickly at all. The world was almost the same for hundreds of thousands of years. and then this sudden change in the last 10000. the last few hundred have been monumentally fast.
@@GeorgiaDow Oh ya, I forgot that the caveman period of humanity lasted for so damn long. lol. So we today, are still trying to adapt to not being cavemen. It's very complicated.
I freeze if the threat is boned my control. There is a a part of me that wants to attack if something threatens a family member I kind of want to fight. But what abet things like social anxiety doing something that made your family or tribe hostel must have bean a very dangerous thing to do. I thing feelings like shame and gilt must have helped us somehow. You know as harmless as we might look no other animal can through things like we can or rune for as long except the husky.
I think of anxious people the same way i think of who i used to be before i learned to resolve my fear by resolving the risks i reasonably could in my life. If that makes sense.
I used to have anxiety, but I discovered that if I satisfy my biological needs the anxiety goes away for example going hunting we all need to kill something from time to time ,have sex with strangers, in short the most primitive things that helped me a lot. once my mother told me something that stuck in my memory: don't live long, live well pd my english its not perfect yet im still learning and i use the translator for a few words xD
do you have or will you ever have any videos dealing with health related anxiety specifically? I have been having almost an entire years worth of issues related to different obsessions with my personal health and it's incredibly overwhelming. anxiety attacks and how similar to a heart attack they might feel certainly doesn't help and just feeds the cycle. I'm only 32 and far outside the average age of a lot of the ailments I've convinced myself of suffering from over the last several months.
