Happy 10 years Hearthstone! Shoutout to Day9 for joining me He will be playing Hearthstone at the end of the month (March 2024) Edit: The Aya card is just wrong but all I wanted was him to say Uwu, it was worth it
Very awesome video! Although i might have to argue the maxxena question, Day9 was partially correct. It was changed in 2017 to read the now new "poisonous". I know he played afterwards but give the man some pitty points :)
rarran laughing while day9 is messing up reminded me so much of when ben brode and day9 streamed together and ben brode would just burst in laughter nonstop, i love day9's positive energy so much
@@mst4705 @transpartylines3327 Day9 made a joke early in the video saying he would give Rarran 1 million dollars if he got the card wrong, and he did. That has to be what he meant.
12:03 Fun fact. Maexxna's text was actually like this before they added the poisonous keyword in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. So both cards are technically correct
Rarran just reverse gaslit all of us, wtf man, he really decided not to be mean to Day9 but instead directed that mean energy at the audience instead. Man is truly ruthless. This was like being slapped in the face with a glove in my own house.
I appreciate how the Skeleton Knight Deathrattle: Joust doesn't actually do anything (like revive himself), he just wants to have a cheeky Joust before dying
I like Skeleton Knight's voiceline. A couple times i played him (or chose him over something else) just to hear it in action (and not out of the game clicking the button on wiki).
Day9 feels unreal. Like geniunely how can a guy be this consistently hilarious? Guy just keeps dropping banger after banger without missing a beat. Absolute legend.
The crazy thing is just how long he's been at this. I watched the brood war dailies on Justin tv back in the day and he's always been the funniest, most genuinely happy content creator on whatever platform he's on.
I will never forget Silithid Swarmer, it's tied to a core memory that taught me an invaluable life lesson about this game: in a very old Savjz arena video he attacked with this minion and then played Vilespine Slayer targeting the minion in the center of the enemy board, but he did it too quickly and clicked exactly when the Swarmer was overlapping the enemy minion during its attack animation, so he ended up accidentally targeting and destroying his own minion. Every single time I take an action in Hearthstone I wait and make sure I don't end up accidentally targeting something else because I remember this exact video
I remember in preview season it was getting a lot of hype because people thought it would be good stats for the cost in aggro rogue. Turns out 2 mana to give it 2 attacks still wasn't anywhere near worth it
jm!! Now Raran vs. fighting games would be a collab I wanna see. Raran says he’s great at all card games? Let’s see him learn Asuka in GG Strive bwahaha
Rarran has said Ben Brode told him it wouldn't be fair to the dev team if he did it. But it sounds like the corporate way to say he doesn't want to do it because it's in competition with Marvel Snap.
congrats on landing this legendary colab. Also the guy who voiced Olmec in Legends of the Hidden Temple was also Daffy Duck in the original Space Jam movie
@@treedude4246 I think I'm like 5 years older than Sean and Legends of the Hidden Temple was sweet back in the day. Like Double Dare, Finders Keepers, GUTS. Basically physical based game shows for kids. But yes, Sean is a great story teller, and hilarious.
I was literally watching the day9 compilation video just before this video was published and was saying how much I missed day9 in HS. This is godsent, thank you rarran.
My intro to Day9 was the "Larger and Larger" video, months after it came out and I didn't watch him but the video you did reacting to his Hearthstone content made me realize what I'd been missing out on.
Day9's reactions here were so fun. It's really great whenever guests lean into their own failure and take the joke rather than blaming the way the question was presented etc. because that just feels like degrading Rarran's work, especially when it's done in such a clunky way. This episode had none of that though because Day9 just stayed humble and respectful. What a G!
God I never watched him before but Day9 is such a blessing man, he's so jovial and cheerful and nothing seems to get under his skin, and he can talk so passionately about stuff, love it
The moment I saw Day9 taking part in this series my first thought was what if he had to guess Tyrantus but in its current 14/14 Taunt form instead of the 12/12 when it was first released, calling back to his infamous clips about jades. Did get a nice callback to it when he looked at Aya though.
Yo, what do you mean "One of the best Hearthstone content creators to ever exist?" My man Sean "Day[9]" Plott is one of the best content creators to ever exist, period! lol
Since I discovered you I was hoping to see a collab with Day9 because I imagined you would get along together very nice and it would be a hilarious video, and it has been like this, thanks for this Rarran. ❤
god day9 and hearthstone combined is like the funniest pairing I've ever seen on twitch. So glad you collabed with him. I will be watching the next video 1000%
Day9 is probably the single most hilarious streamer I've ever seen, he can make literally anything 10x funnier and it's a blessing to see him talk HS again, if just for a little bit.
You know, I am just going to watch this video every single day until the next video comes out, this is hilarious and refreshing, many thanks to the two of you!
I hope that the next part is guessing if card is custom or real using only newer ones, heck, maybe even only from Whizbang expansion? Great video, Day9 is fantastic, were laughing for almost whole video. :D
Day9 manages to make me laugh every single time he says anything... its amazing that I never watched him much back in the HS days I feel obligated to start now lol
now in day9s defence, i also looked at shadow word: pain and went "yep, that's it, that's the card" and i literally watched roffle shadow word pain his own minion in the very last video i watched before this.
I showed up to see Day[9] and was not disappointed. I agree with the other comment about this being like the Day[9] and Ben Brode collab with the laughs being so infectious. Rarran's laugh is a perfect compliment to Sean's laugh.
Haven't watched yet but I know Day9 will struggle with names, because he loves to make weird nicknames that only he understands and then exclusively say that without any context. Lookin at you, "Old Gnawbones" in MTG becoming "Old Bone Eyes". My favorite goofball
