That fruit is called "Pili" here in Philippines. Only grows in Bicol area. When we eat the flesh, we remove the black peel. But it is mainly harvested for the nuts inside the seed's shell. That's the best tasting nut here in Philippines.

I'm sarawakian, this Dabai fruit full of colegen, it's good for ur skin... U must cook it with warm water only for 10 minit. Don't use hot water or boil water to cook it. The best dabai is from Kapit division and Song division in Sarawak.

Sarawak is my home town 🙋🏼‍♀️. Dabai is delicious but don’t eat too much of it coz it’s contained high fats & dietary fiber. During the old days, some of our local ethnics use them as butter / oil to cook. However, I’m glad you guys love ❤️ our local fruits so much.

I can tell u where and when to find durio dulcis in Kalimantan ...it sure smells strong ,almost like an industrial glue haha and is very confronting to eat, even for a durian lover..I ate one and then next day I thought I needed to try it again...they are very difficult to open compared to other durians and certainly for my taste they were better if you ate them earlier rather than later...I don’t eat over ripe durian and I don’t eat unripe durian as they do in Thailand ..dulcis is definitely something every durian enthusiast must find and try but not many will enjoy it....the seeds are absolutely beautiful dark chocolate colour and they flesh tasted like a liqueur filled toffee or chocolate .....interesting !!

I read somewhere that dabai is in the same family as the pili nut, grown in the Phillipines, and that if you dry out and then break open the dabai pit you get a nut not unlike the pili nut? Anybody aware of this? The pili nut, by the way, rivals the macadamia nut in terms of flavor and texture. I am curious to know whether anyone has tried this "nut". Tina?

Yes however she is 14 yrs older then he is and more mature.... He is still growing as a man and has a lot of maturing to do. She is very patient with him. I have noticed in a lot of videos when they eat or drink he never offers the food to her first or shares his bites with her and she does share hers with him and wants to share a good tasty bite with him. She is very patient and kind and generous to him. Again he is still young and has a lot more maturing to do. When he gets older her goodness will hopefully rub off on him. She is teaching him through action.

it hard to explain the taste of dabai, as in malay we called it 'lemak'(which is may be you mean in your vlog cheesy or buttery taste), the fresh the better taste, the round one is more 'lemak' than the slim and long dabai.

I think you wrong to eat the black fruit... In Indonesia we said that fruit is KENARI... And you dont have to eat the skin but eat the seed...you have to crack or destroy the seed using stone or hamer...and after that you eat that seed... It taste like peanut.... somekind like old cocunut or maybe more... That is the wrong way you eat that the fruit....Every single people in Indonesia know how to eat that fruit....
