Yeah psychological reframing physical reality only goes so far.... for a situation like you've described I'd "prescribe" rework the diet.... and get as much physical activity as possible..... gotta redefine reality. Easy peasy? Of course not. ❤️‍🩹

I Used to do that. For years and years and years. But it didnt work. I stopped over night when I realized the money i wasted. I feel better but not at all as good as I can. I am trying hard to change myself little by little. Really baby steps.

i wrote this about 20yrs ago... 'who am i' F: i was thinking... am i who i think i am, or what others made me... M: nature or nurture... F: right... M: ask 'who am i and why do i do the things i do' F: you're telling the story... M: humanity is driven by survival... physical, mental, emotional and spiritual survival... these factors shape the decisions you make... M: it's the decisions you make and the actions you take that define who you are... M: i define myself as a humanist, spiritualist, and realist, all things being relative... F: i like that... i suppose i define myself as an adventurist that shoots from the hip, lives in the present, and loves a good challenge... F: but just defining myself doesn't seem to be enough... F: i love life, but it hasn't always been that way... i've been beaten, mentality used and sexually molested and mistreated more times than i care to admit... F: i developed a thick skin and a determination, 'don't let the bas-tards win' M: i'm sorry... me too M: yes there is more to it than just book answers... M: people are complicated... soaring to the heighest heights and the deepest depths M: hard and soft, gentle and strong... one moment a hero, the next, pieces on the ground... F: but sometimes it just hurts... M: yeah... sometimes it just hurts... M: many times life has kicked in my front door and destroyed my world... i cried 'this mountain is too high, this hole too deep'... M: i had no reason to keep going, but i kept going, because i had something to hold on to... F: what did you have to hold on to... M: that there is still some good left in this world... M: find your thing to hold on to, and life will find a way... M: life can be hard, but it's your life, your world... you decide who to be, not life... right here... right now... M: you're asking a question you already know the answer to... you know who you are... F: i suppose i do... M: ever think about doing the dishes... F: never once... lesson: we have autonomy to create our own individual 'one of a kind' philosophy of life...

I would like to know the answer to that question too.
