I love this skincare. I was actually shocked by the texture of the toner and pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to get home to clean my face just because I love it that much.

I’ve been simplifying my routine and trying to use less products, but 3 steps is too little for my skincare obsession. I really appreciate that you put the ingredients lists in your videos, it’s super helpful

Yassss. I was hoping you'd try the toner! I picked it up at Target after I saw it rec'd on IG. It's so so hydrating and soothing on me. There's also often coupons for it on the target circle app.

Definitely happy to see a simple and effective routine but I'm so use to additions, that I can't help but add in a extra serum/essence to my oily skin routine (just got the set already mixing it up with my favourite rovectin toner lotion and water cream). Still, in a rush, it's nice to have a reliable duo/trio. Great video as always and thanks for the informative review!

If you have very very VERY sensitive skin, I would probably only try the cleanser and with caution. I decided to give it a try and I did feel like it gave gentle exfoliation and I didn’t see irritation except a little more pinkness than normal at first. Definitely use a SMALL AMOUNT and don’t be washing with it for too long and I think you will be fine. Glad to finally find an exfoliator I can use. I can’t do anything leave on, retinoids etc are a huge no for my skin. D:

A basic skin care routine can transform your skin; when you use good products you have a great foundation for healthy skin. The 3 step skincare routine works for me, cleansing, moisturing and sunscreen; it gives me flexibility. And when I do add essence, toner or mask they are more effective ✨

I used to use three step when I was a teenager battling acne, I had the Dermalogica medibac range. But not at 28, I feel like there are more concerns to tackle like preventing aging, brightening, maskne etc. that I now need a more extensive routine.

I used 3 step as a teen too! I like the idea of three step to set up a core for your routine but definitely I am more flexible and experimental now!

I like that they have yuzu extract in their products. It's a popular ingredient in Japan but those brands are hard to get in overseas. Yes it's a citrus so it's definitely not 'everybody's ingredient' but I personally like the scent and the oil balancing benefit it delivers. Was looking for hydrating + slight exfoliating toner so I may try the toner. (The moisturizer seems to be the dupe of toner but just + squalene & ceramide, and I already have enough stock for cleanser) How do these products smell, Kelly?

Thanks so much for introducing this brand. I recently starting using the Facetheory skincare brand which is good and reasonable priced but I was disappointed to learn that is owned by a venture capitalist (some guy who is capitalizing on vegan skincare hype). I have been looking for a female owned brand and the Hero cleanser looks like a product worth trying -thanks for testing the PH. I really appreciate your product reviews. Most skincare video bloggers just rave or rant. You provide a detailed analysis and thoughtful insight that helps me to make good decisions about trying a new product.

BTW, the discount code won't apply to the bundle for $35, only if you're purchasing individually. It's actually cheaper to get the bundle for $35 b/c then you get free shipping. It's $33 with the individual products in the trio and the discount code in your cart, but then you don't qualify for free shipping so you will end up spending more. (Unless you want to purchase any additional product, of course, in which case it's probably a better deal to go with the discount code/individual products rather than the bundle.)

That’s weird that you can’t use it if you get the bundle :o I just don’t think this stuff would work well for me. It has fruit enzyme stuff like pineapple that can be irritating. My skin is so sensitive.

Hero is lighter and more hydrating, Isntree is thicker and more moisturizing/balancing.
