Big Thanks to you Greg for elaborating these essential factors. I mean, how many "business" RU-vidrs actually explain to you how to deal with taxes, business entities, etc.? Literally, none. You are the best! Please keep up and God bless you!
Thank you so much for all the information you've been sharing, Greg. It's helped me tremendously. I followed your course exactly, and I'm starting to get into the flow of things. I have been creating about 50 designs per day and gradually uploading them to the sites, building up to getting those 50 posted per day. I just want to thank you because even though I haven't gotten my first sale yet (it's been like a week since I started, so I'm going to be patient), I know that I will because I'm not taking any shortcuts or trying to beat the system. I am focusing on creating as many good designs in as many good subniches as possible. I just wanted to thank you again because you're the only person I have ever seen talking about online entrepreneurship that is genuine and gives real advice. You're the GOAT!
Right on! That's awesome to hear, and I wish you the best of luck in your sub-niches. Sometimes certain sub-niches take offf so I hope you get some of those!
Great video! It really cleared up my confusion about the necessity of a business license for print on demand. Your step-by-step guide is very user-friendly and informative. It's a must-watch for anyone venturing into the print on demand business. Keep up the good work!
This is so helpful .. for the past couple hours I've been looking at your videos . and i think these are VERY valuable videos that everyone should know . thank you for sharing these videos !!!
@@GregGottfriedVery informative video. I have a question. I have a clothing line that I’m interested in starting. Does Shopify allow sellers to use Alibaba for print on demand or Dropshipping? And do you have a video explaining the difference between print on demand and dropshipping along with the pros and cons?
Glad these videos are helpful! I highly recommend both print on demand and affiliate marketing with videos. I'll keep trying to put as many tutorials on the channel as possible. If you run into any questions on any videos just let me know 👍 Good luck as you get going!
Greg! Great shorts and videos. Especially those where u react to other shorts. I have a video suggestion. I want you to review our online pages with regards to affiliate marketing and print on demand. Being your students, Can you post on your community section a place where we can drop our links so we can learn from the mistakes we are making and how we can reach an earning potential. Thank you!
What about seller's permit to remit sales tax (that seems the most complicated, especially to other states or countries and VAT)? What about a home occupancy business license?
Hi, Greg. Thank you so much for simplifying everything. I'm now in the US planning to move to another country. Is there anything that I need to put in place here before starting a passive POD there?
Hi, I have following you for quite some time now, I always find your explanations helpful and honest. Now I am ready to start print on demand, please help me, what’s my first step ?
Great timing! Here's a video that will cover everything to get you going: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWh4PP68RsE.html Hope that helps!
Are sellers permits needed to start print on demand? Also, what about sales tax? I know Etsy handles sales tax in some states. Just not sure how that works with print on demand. Thanks! Very informative video!
But doing it this way the you pay Sales Tax out of your pocket instead of the customers? So now if its $2 sales tax and your profit it $10 now you have $8 then out of the $8 they take income tax. Where as with the registration/permit the customer pays the sale tax, and you only take out income tax. So for $2 with 100 sales that $200 coming out of your money that the customer wouldve been liable for. The more sales the more the loss. Im confused. Ive been trying to figure this out its so confusing and dont want to end up owing massive amounts of sales tax + income tax, for POD youtube merch.
Great question! Since we are not the actual person shipping the items, we are paid in a royalty/commission type of way. This means the sites selling the physical good collect and pay the sales tax. I hope that makes sense and helps!
Does one still have to get a DBA? OR AN EIN? OR JUST STARTING AN ACCOUNT WITH POD and then purchasing and signing up for all these things after make a certain amount, would be better necessary?
Hey Greg. Do you have any videos on or know anything about if liability insurance should be purchased to sell print on demand? If there ever were an issue with a product, I’m unsure if the liability would fall on the print on demand seller or on the actual maker? 🤔
Great video. Quick question. Once you’ve opened all these accounts on the print on demand websites just using your name and email then when you make your 50k…is there an option to transfer everything to an LLC in the actual print on demand websites already made or you have to open new accounts with the LLC?
Hey greg, i watched ur vid of step by step guide for POD My question is, Is tpop okay to use as a beginner? And will it charge me for anything? I'm still confused since u didn't mention about tpop
Hi Greg, as a foreigner living in Paraguay, I had to set up an LLC to have the possibility to get paid via Stripe , Paypal, et cetera. Does that imply that I need a business license as well? And if so, what kind of license? Just want your opinion, I know that you are not a tax expert.
Hey thanks for asking! I'm really not sure on this one, since it's not something I've dealt with before I'd just be guessing and I don't want to point you in the wrong direction.
I will not be selling under my own name so I read I need to register for a DBA. It is $10 in VA. But I also read I need to register a DBA for all states my business will be operating in. If my print on demand is shipping from a different state do I need to register there?
If you are using passive print on demand websites (more on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OfanevbiXog.html ) then you will not need to register anything at all, not even a business entity. If you are using Shopify/Printful/Printify/etc. you may need a business entity. With that said, I still don't think you'll need a DBA because the storefront name does not need to be registered as anything, and the only place it would come into play would be inputing your business name to receive payments. I've had a DBA before and you'll definitely not need one for each state. This is all just my experience, but I hope that's helpful.
Do we get double taxed though without a license? Because Printify offers a sales certificate to become tax exempt but you have to have a license to do it right?
Thanks for this video! A question for you… I made my first sale on red bubble, and in their email to me at the bottom, they said that I might be responsible for sales tax. They gave a link to read more information, but it doesn’t say anything specifically about that. Have you ever had to pay sales tax on product sold through print on demand?
Hey no worries, just try again with a new email address. I've spoken to a few people who just tried again with a new email and got in on the 2nd or 3rd try 👍
Yes, but it's important to be in the low competition niches now. The big ones are all saturated. More on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RUv8uT8Xh_E.html
What if I get paid 1 dollars per one design for 1 month ,likewise I'm get paid through various kinds of pod site and making $10k per month in india What would my tax be and what would my legal entity be(I'm a single seller age 25)
No, you can upload the designs directly to print on demand websites and not have to have your own website. More on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWh4PP68RsE.html
