I swapped the gearing in my diesel on 38” maxis tires to 4.10 and it’s not quite enough. I certainly wouldn’t recommend towing any real weight with your setup but I’m glad you’re happy
Awesome video, thanks for uploading. I’m saving up for 37’s and method race will 315’s. Been debating whether to re-gear or not but looks like I’ll be OK (as I save money to eventually do that)
That was the big factor for me .. Thanks for posting this… Oh yeah..what width rims do you need For 37’s…?? I really love my jeep wheels That came with the WILLYS…
What’s the specific lift you are using? I think you said 2.5 right? I have a sport s here in Utah as well and am looking at options if I should do 35s or 37s. Unsure if I want a lift yet though.
I have 33s on my Gladiator Sport with 6 speed manual. It drives fine with no load but when I tow my 16 ft aluminum boat it struggles up even slight hills. I have to shift down to 4th gear to climb. I can't imagine even putting 35s or 37s on without re-gearing. Nice looking rig!
I too have a gladiator with a 6 speed manual 3.73 with 33s. I also had an automatic gladiator with the 3.73 completely different in the power. The auto had a lot more get up and go but shifted constantly from 7-8 on the highway. I Will definitely be regearing the manual to 4.10. I never leave 4 gear unless I'm on the highway going 70 mph or faster.
@@adamweitzel4071 Having been a former MT Rubicon Gladiator owner, 4.56 would be better. You will find use for 6th gear. :) With 4.10s and 33, you would be able to use 6th only going on downhill in my experience.
You just need a Taser Mini or the mini lite by Z Automotive or a similar product I guess, and you can calibrate your tire size along with MANY other features as well. Not saying you can or can't run 37's just saying for the calibration aspect.
Thanks for the video man! I’ve got a Willy’s and still on the stock 32 MTs. I just installed a 3.5 in lift. Just been debating 35 or 37. Your video definitely helped me decide. I was worried about the regear. Did you do anything else! Speedometer? Taze?
@@chrisreynolds2410 currently on 37 Cooper STT Pros. I did use an app called OBD JSCAN to calibrate the computer. Look it up. It'll tell you which Bluetooth devices are compatible
What’s it like to live in that environment it looks wonderful but almost like there is nothing around. How do you make money out that way. I’ll subscribe to support.
Question I’m new to the gladiator group. I have a 2020 Mojave came with 37’ tires and has 4.10 gears, with the tow package, so do I really need to re gear my Jeep? I don’t tow anything and it runs good on the highway and I’m in 8 gear daily driver?
Thanks for sharing your video! Does it void your warranty if you put 37s and re gear it? I’m surprised that I can’t find that question in the comments being that my Mojave is over 50k
Would barely be OK if this was Ecodiesel and 3.73 gearing, but on gasser? Also, I guess there is more engine load, hence will run at higher engine temps. The transmission might get hot too as it is working harder ad may be shifting more? But nice looking truck. I jst got an Ecodiesel gladiator Rubicon and thinking of doing a 2 inch lift and put in 35s.
Guys i got a question. So I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport S with an ecodiesel motor. I have a 2" mopar lift kit on it and i have installed rubicon fenders so i have more space between the wheen and the fender to allow me to put bigger wheels. Question is because my jeep is not a rubicon and doesn't have the same gearing, what would i need to do to run 37" wheels? I really dont want 35's. If anyone knows, please let me know.
@@jose32301 its lifted 2.5 inches. On other news the jeeps sucked lol. 5000 miles has been at the shop for about 2.5 months. Fuel pump blew up contaminated all fuel system and maybe engine. Lawsuit is in place now. Lemon law. Jeep acknowledge the damage is due to defective parts but still didnt want to buy it back or swap it for another same optioned vehicle.
Great videos! But when when you regear you always ask yourself why I didn’t do this sooner!? Telling you from experience. You can go either 4.88 or 5.13 on 37’s. Reach out I can give you a deal when your ready!
There is no way 3.73s are adequate for 37s. I put 37s on a Rubicon with 4.10s and the shifting was not good. 4.88s completely fixed the issue. Yes it has enough power to move the vehicle but the shifts will be awful.
Yeah, it’ll move but it’s gonna give you a headache in the long run. Snapping an axle would get you away cheapest. You’re going to kill something up your drivetrain.
4.10 is the preferred gear set for larger than 35” tires depending on how you use your rig. New Jeeps coming out this year with factory 35s are now using up to 4.56 gears.
@@ethanoconnell3 i asked because on my overland with 35s i would almost never see 8th gear. Sometimes it would stay in 6th. I plan on running 37s on my Mojave but it has 4.10 gears with a 6 speed. I hope to not feel like I need to regear.
@@kolourblind3124 steelfin2 is saying that the jeep probably never or rarely ever shifts to 7th or 8th gear. I'm on 35's w/ 3.73 gearing and i rarely see 8th gear. If its windy, my Jeep won't go past 6th gear.
If you do not regear after the '37s are on you will stress the crap out of other parts. New tire devided by old tire X the rear you are running. 4.10 just doesn't cut it here. 4.88 would be so much better.
