Although Splatoon 2 is a better game overall, Splatoon 1 has the better music and it pains me they don’t put at least some of it in 2. The music still works since since the core game is still 3 minutes.
Playing this without the motion delay feels extremely weird and freeing. It's so weird I used to play like this. But also then switching back to modern Splatoon 2 with the delay makes me so sad :(
@@netboy288 The Switch has motion lag, so +5 motion on Switch feels like only +3 motion on Wii U. I don't think it's Splatoon 2's fault, it's just the Switch
I miss the Dual Squelcher so much, was the first Splatoon weapon that clicked for me. Had to quit them in 2 because I don't enjoy playing Dualies weapons very much :(
Same for me. The Dual Squelcher was the perfect weapon for me, the Jet and Pro just aren't the same. It's so much more nimble and the faster fire rate was really nice. I hope they bring it back in Splat 3, maybe call it the "Rapid Squelcher" or something.
European version. Which is a lot better because a lot of American players would spam “Come on!” as a complaint button instead of actually using it to communicate a direction. Which is why in 2 they changed it to “This way!”
@@ThatSrb2DUDE Like write now in Splatoon 2 in for example German it says "Zu mir" (Translation "To me") But in English it says "This way". And that makes no sense.
Back in the days when I was nowhere near as good as I am now lol. Back when the E-liter was powerful, when the Carbon was a true threat, and when you could still become the Kraken. Splat1, such a nice game.
The Dual Squelcher and the Dualie Squelchers are so fun to play in their corresponding Splatoon games. I would love it if they would bring back both weapon types in Splatoon 3.
Here’s a random thing Splatoon 2 removed from the game: the little icons below the special charge meter showing what abilities you where using… WHY TF DID THEY REMOVE IT!? there are way too many times where I forgot what gear I had and wondered what abilities I was using, the reminder would be so nice… hopefully they bring it back for splatoon 3
I feel like if they brought the old single-piece Dual Squelcher into Splat2 as an "unscoped" version of Dualie Squelchers with same kits, it'd still be a very solid weapon.
I would love that actually. "Every weapon is here!!!" Of course...except for Stingray. Lol. Imagine 4 variants of each for totally different play styles (I really wanted E-Liter with burst bomb and booyah Bomb in this game...)
@@ThatSrb2DUDE As fun as the dualie squelchers are i wish they'd just brought back the regular weapon lol but maaaan what a trip this was. I havent play splat 1 since splat 2 came out. Maybe if you do another splat 1 video you'll bring back the classic .96 DUDE? lol
I love the editing on this one, the music is also very fitting. Hope to see your Berry Splattershot Pro in the next one! (Also dont forget to change the game in your description to Splatoon 1 :P )
I've been maining the Custom Dual Squelchers in the original Splatoon for more than 4 years yet DUDE comes in here after a long time tearing it up better than I ever could 😂
2 year update: Still not at DUDE level but sitting comfy in S+ instead of wavering between S and S+. The way DUDE leads his shots with falling opponents is fabulous
I miss the dual squelcher... The custom variant to be exact since Killer Wail was my favorite special. But I’ll settle for the custom Dualie Squecher, because Ink storm is my favorite special in Splatoon 2
I never played Splatoon 1, but in Splatoon 2, I'm a splat charger main, stuck in S+. I've heard many players say that the eliter in Splatoon 1 was the best charger to use, compared to Splatoon 2. The players are saying that the splat charger is the go-to charger in Splatoon 2, and that the eliter is useless. Why is that? What made the eliter so spectacular in Splatoon 1?
Striped Rajang E litre was long range, and with damage up, it effectively became a splatterscope too, because you could kill people without full charges. It also had a better kit in 1. The way maps were designed in 1 made long range sniping very effective too. It was definitely overpowered tbh
everything was so op that it somewhat balanced out lmao. It kept it very chaotic and fun. I miss every weapon being able to use damage up instead of just certain ones, imo its more balanced when everyone can use it.
Eleanor Van Nuland It‘s definitely less balanced if everyone can use it, chargers become broken with damage up for example. Some classes just get buffed way more than others. I still want no gun to have it but 2 is defo more balanced than 1
Naqromancer no definitely!! its just that if you were mad about damage up chargers u could combat it by adding damage up to take them out faster or defense up to negate their damage up.
Did you know that if you dodge roll with the Dualie Squelchers you hold the dualies in the shape of a Dual Squelcher? So it is kinda like using the Dual Squelcher
Even in 2020 I just cant get enough of splatoon 1, the graphics, music and way better weapons and abilities just keep pulling me back in to play a few more rounds, makes me feel nostalgic, back when e liters were annoyingly powerful and the carbon was worth a damn, and the motion controls were perfect on the Wii U
I don’t know if you read suggestions for video ideas. But it would be interesting to see a video of how to counter certain weapons, like a charger, and discussing if using less popular abilities, like sub power up, and opening gambit, have their uses and which situations they work in.
I played splatoon 1 last week and I swear to god I had the same problem you had where you can’t see where they went in the ink, it feels so much harder for me to see them in splat 1. Probably coz the ink is just a block colour and splatoon 2 it is a bit more layered maybe?
If you think "To me!" is stupid, we North Americans got "Come on!" instead, which was intended to be used to say "This way!" but most people just used it as a complaint button.
Heeey, i played with u in the first match of the video haha my nick is IISeRII i thought it was a random guy named dude. But it was you all along ❤️. Gg's U were such an inspiration for me when i start playing competitive splatoon. Such an honor. Thank you.
Ah, yes... The game where Kraken, Dual squelchers, and no lag existed. Good times, good times. Personally, I have grown on the Custom Jet Squelcher. Might try the dual, though
