This video is amazing. Thank you so much. I have struggled with squats for a long time because i was always told that my knees should never come over my toes, i squated just you demonstrated how not to squat. I am going to work on my air squats now before i add any sort of weight Thank you so much for this!

Very useful. After the first air squat video instruction I can now squat a lot lot better and yes the knee pain is gone. Not quite brave enough for the barbell snatches yet but maybe I'll try some kettle bell ones soon. Thank you.

Where were you when I was competing in Powerlifting! What a great tutorial! I knew at the time that style was more in important than weight on the bar but if I knew about PERFECT Air squatting, I could have lifted SOOOOO much more. But now I'm coaching older people, your advice on this valuable movement will be a mainstay in my training. For them and me. I'm looking forward to going over your older material and picking up other gems of wisdom. Thanks Sarah. Great work and lessons, without the glamour crap so evident on today's 'training' videos on RU-vid.

Wow. Idk how but I just found you and you've reinspired me!! Feb 2016 my lifting and fitness journey got derailed by a horrible car accident. You've reminded me that it's okay to be a #BasicsBitch and that the basics are so key to foundation! Thank you for the reminder and encouragement that it's okay to be a beginner!

Your videos are killer! I have learned so much from you since I started following you. A lot of guys won't listen to me when I recommend you, but I show people correct form on exercises I learned from you. They will always ask how I knew something and 9 out of 10 times I tell them I got it from you. Between you and Jim Stopanni I think I'm good.

Thank you for teaching us! I am a half squatter but only because I didn't know any better. And guess what? I have had knee pain for years. And guess what else? My quads are stronger than my hamstrings! I have pretty weak hamstrings. I also never let my knees track over my toes. I obviously have lots to work on. So, I am going to try this new lesson today, as today happens to be leg day for me and I will see how I do! Thanks so much for the tips!

this is very helpful. definitely going to start watching how I squat! I have knee problems, I've had them since middle school Track and Field. I just recently got back into working out and getting into shape after giving birth to my little girl 2 years ago. I've been on an on and off journey but, I'm sticking to it and trying to improve! thank you Dr.S!

I told someone today and demonstrated how I can squat past parallel with no knee pain and how squatting helped improve my knee and back pain, of course this person was like I can't do it. I'm like yes you can just start and try and work on it. it will be uncomfortable as hell for the first few weeks especially if you haven't done it in years but you can get your mobility back!

Thanks for saying that it took you six months to perfect your squat....I was getting frustrated as it seemed to be taking me so long. I thought I had it, then would load and lose the technique. I'll now forget the load and keep going until I seriously get technique right. Thank you so much.

Hey. Loved your video. But here's a question: my right leg's ankle mobility is terrible due to a car accident. It doesn't allow my knee to go over my toes. So how do I squat?! My current squats look a lot like your squat example "how not to squat"... 🤔😏

I commented on an older video so sorry for the repetition - can you do a vid on improving shoulder strength from a progressions point of view? (for ex. i have a shoulder injury that makes it difficult for me to do weight bearing that involves my chest and shoulders - i was taught to do knee pushups, progressive planks, how to modify etc but i could use a reminder and i'm sure that could be a weak spot for others on #teamss) thanks for the vids and the motivation!

Awesome video, and exactly my problem!! I just recently had a three level cervical fusion in my neck back in December, so C-4 through C-7 are all fused together. I am struggling with T-spine mobility, hip mobility, and ankle mobility, and desperately need to fix these since most of my working out is lower body at this point. Any advice for ankle and t-spine mobility exercises? Also, how often should I include mobility work into my exercise routine?

Thank you. This is great! But what about the distance of the feet from each other? I've recently started having bad knees, but can do complete air squats without difficulty. I would've loved to have seen your air squats from the front view as well. Does the distance of the feet from each other play a roll in harming or helping the knees?
