Sad day~the truth is that’s the environment I grew up in an Asian household. What’s my self-worth? You are nothing unless you achieve special. We also define “I am so busy.” as a full life. Thank you as I am strongly encourage to pursue a life more like Jesus. To focus on the greatest commission, Matthew 22:34-40 and know that if I love God with all my heart and love others as I love myself then joy comes, peace comes.🙏🏻💕🍃

Thanks for reminding me I am special, God created me in His image. I’m going to shine my God light out in the world today and let people see the God in me, so they can know they are special too! And I loved Mr Rogers, what a great teacher he was!! 😇🙏❤️

Ouch. I was up thinking I was special only if I did things that made me "separate"/better. Best! For me, the only way I've been able to successfully fight this (though not always successful) is by seeing what the word says and desiring it above my human nature. To fight it because my desire to please God is more important, to do what's right... It's not always easy if you are competitive at your core. Not acting on it feels like the right thing at times. I am SO want to focus on making ppl feel special because of their value in Christ. So many ppl do not. I can think of a dozen right off the bat. This gives me purpose. Lastly, when I feel everything BUT special to anyone, I always know how God feels about me, and to me, that is miraculous. I am related to the creative of every single thing. Happy Friday.

I think of myself wanting to be content rather than happy, which I am mostly but I have a hard time when others compliment me. think it might be a bit of reverse pride 😏
