I can't get away from the idea that Mark could have avoided a lot of embarrassment by just buying a cauliflower and a packet of white sause, boil it to bits, and just parked it in front of his dad. Imagine how long it would have taken Mark's dad to eat an entire cauliflower on his own.

It's British comedy. There aren't supposed to be any nice people in British comedy. They don't last, or their niceness doesn't, but you can't have a lot of niceness in British comedy, because horrible people are funnier. American comedy is always full of likeable people, or at least people that have something likeable. Not in the UK. Monsters all round.

@Christian L The thing with British comedy, as opposed to American comedy, it doesn't do happy endings. The moment something slightly more complicated than what drugs Superhans is on comes up, like a relationship, things will have to go sour at some point. In American comedy, people are fundamentally good. In British comedy they can be anything, but not that. It's Dobby's job to ultimately disappoint. Because Mark, under no circumstances, can ever be happy. That would take all the fun out of it. So it can't last. Like Soberhans couldn't last.
