I was diagnosed with brain cancer when I was 9. I am now 13 and cancer free. St. Baldrick's held a fundraiser for me about half way through my cancer journey. I will forever be grateful. Thank you St. Baldrick's!!!!!
Hey you are a strong kid! If I can offer you any advice it would be this- everything you do for or against your body has consequences. You know what it feels like to not feel like you're in control of your body. That's an experience usually much older people face & it puts you at a unique advantage. You can make solid choices as you move through life. You can choose things that honor your flesh and nourish your soul. Or not. But I assure you, the better choices you make now, the better quality of life you'll have. No one knows the future but you can control your choices & I promise you, your life will be awesome. Don't go the other way on this. Take it from an old woman who has made a ton of bad choices- take control bc you're flying this plane! Great work surviving, I hope life will be incredible for you! 💜
@@deadplthebadass21 it’s when your brain shrinks and I know this because I have goats and this is a big thing to look for and if they have it you have to kill them or The Who,e heard dies.
Bring Pam back! I miss Pam, I’ve rewatched all your videos with her way too many times. Same with her, I’ve watched all her stuff. We need more Pam and Mike. 🤣
First time I've seen her, but I know you're telling the truth because of her tea kettle laugh. Ive never met a person who laughed like a tea kettle who wasn't also hilarious
I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on Monday out of the blue and watching this video is the first time I've laughed through my tears since then. I can't thank you enough, Doctor Mike, for being sunshine all the time and changing the world one video at a time 💙
One time she spoke at my synagogue. I used to be embarrassed of my Tourette’s but I wanted to thank her for her story and I could relate. I would like to thank her and tell her that I’m sorry for what happened to her which just shows how people can thrive out of high school! 💖
Dr. Mike! I have been dealing with some random “patches” inside my mouth for a while now, and any doctor has been able to tell me what they are. I was very concerned about them being part of an infection, or something worst. Now that you talk about Geographic Tongue everything makes sense! Thank you so much! ♥️☀️
@dignasview9648 Do you also have thyroid disease? i only ask because i was diagnosed with geographic tongue in my 20s and when my doctor saw that he also immediately ordered a thyroid panel. He felt they were related. And, surprise, i have thyroid disease as well!
Although "Chimera" is not a real disease or illness, there is something called chimerism. Chimerism is the term for single organisms having multiple sets of DNA. An organism with Chimerism is called a Chimera btw.
Yeah, there is an episode of CSI Las Vegas about that. 😉 they never be able to catch the rapist because the semen's DNA was different from the rest of the body.
As an ultrasound tech, i can attest that this is true. It’s rare though. What happens from what i understand is that the mother can have extra set of dna from possibly absorbing a twin while she was in utero and pass on that dna to the child causing the child to have 3 sets. The dad’s and the mom’s 2 sets.
I have to say that Dan's editing of the videos is stellar, the little verbal cues that pop up onscreen add so much fun!! Dr. Mike's content is already superb in terms of content and production value, but things like the "shots fired" line make me laugh even harder! IMO this channel and Dr Mike Hansen's channel are the best medical-related content on RU-vid. It was a really great idea to introduce Dan to the audience a few videos ago, maybe we might see him in future ones? Thanks Dan & Dr Mike!
I want Pam to look at more of your photos challenge. The type of guy who tells you he's a therapist just to go to bed with them. Her Jokes are just 😭 😭 😭 Please bring back that challenge, please!!
Dr Mike and Pamela literally every second: **boiling tea kettle noise** I went ahead and listed all the tea kettle sounds, so enjoy! 😂 0:03 0:11 1:01 1:16 1:21 1:41 1:52 2:33 2:37 3:02 3:20 3:42 3:51 5:00 5:03 6:06 6:31 8:48 (Also thank you so much for changing the thumbnail Dr Mike 😂 I can’t handle dem holes)
@@lemontartcz Okay yeah maybe not as a PHOBIA but many people (including me) sure get disgusted and freaked out when we see so many tiny disgusting holes 🥴🤢🤢 But yeah I agree with you, it is not a phobia, it is more like a pet peeve
Ta Neznámá Oh, really?? I’ve always heard it was real so I never knew the actual facts for trypophobia... that’s interesting. Anyways, I just meant that I find those closely packed holes really hard to look at, and there are many people who are like me. Thanks though! I hope I didn’t offend anyone else 😅
Please be carefull, I know you're joking, but I can speak from experience that it doesnt feel nice. Also remember before trying to repair a plug thats still partly stuck in the socket, make sure the power switch in that part of the house is off 🙈
Thank you for the geographical tongue mention! I've had this my whole life and have even doctors think I'm just crazy. The first person to knew what it was when I mentioned it was actually a dental hygienist. There are so many foods I avoid eating because they aggravate it and it can actually be quite painful.
@John patrick White yeah that’d be cool although I’m not sure how often he has Roxy over since he doesn’t want to take Roxy from his dad and leave him alone, but it’s a cool idea
Classified as a phobia or not, it is still a real phenomenon. The classification tells you about causes and treatments, not about if the symptoms are experienced. Chronic Fatigue is not a real syndrome, but people still have the symptoms of it, whether they are psychosomatic, caused by other problems, or whatever the case may be. Fortunately he changed the thumbnail. Now it is just ordinary minor body horror and not specifically triggering.
I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a little girl! And now, as a family physician intern, you are my role model in the profession. I hope to succeed in becoming an excellent doctor like you, and I will do my best to provide the best possible care as a doctor for my patients. Thank you for being an inspiration to us and all future doctors!!! ❤️
Correction, Chimera is a disease in horses witch causes spots of a different color. Even spotted horses can have it, example: brown horse with black spots. White and brown horse with random grey spots
Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated? I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else. Gets me frustrated. Just admit that you love the videos I make, my dear nina
P: It's gonna be a disaster M: That's what makes it special P: Stop calling me special 😂😂😂😂😂 I'd love to see the reverse of this too where Pam lists rare illnesses for Mike and he has to guess if they're real.
