Are you sure she's a doctor? She didn't identify herself at any point. Not only that, but this is a video from the Heritage Foundation. A channel that identifies as a "battleship for the conservative movement." A "battleship." In other words, you should be careful who you trust. You'd be very easy to swindle.
@@CreativeUsernameEh She WAS a doctor - she lost her license a bit after Y2K for being a kook and refusing to follow the continuing education requirements. Which had lead her in cases to relay "information" like she did in the video. "We don't know the effect of such..." except we do, bone density DOES suffer - but the rest we've seen studies on Klinefelter's Syndrome folks USING THE SAME DRUGS SINCE THEIR DEVELOPMENT IN THE 70s without any of the other suppositions being at issue. Too lazy to look up her name to refresh, but I know the face from seeing her kook nonsense in the past.
@@CreativeUsernameEhYou can apply that with liberals as well. You act as liberals are the only people that don’t get “swindled” by their own people which happens all the time. Judging by your previous comments it’s obvious you have a biased view point. I think you also fail to see that you be might be “swindled.”
Puberty blockers or whatever you wanna call it were used for decades, long before it was recognized as being useful for transkids. So we have the data lol. What this woman says is just wrong.
If you think you're losing a whole generation, you're in too deep. Never forget, for as much as cuntservatives love to complain, trans people are minority. You're not losing a generation.
The thing about "puberty blockers" is even if you could block physical development, we are highly social creatures. Much of you is not in you. If all or almost all of your childhood friends go through puberty and you don't, that will also profoundly affect your development.
It's about time !! That's what we needed, some body to speak up in regards to gender surgical transformation, including the usage of medication. Thank God. Finally !!!
Literally can't get an Rx for it in the US without the child being the primary point of affirmation in wanting it - so you'd literally be talking about black market nonsense that is already illegal and will land you in jail quickly even for most simple medications. Helps to understand the mechanics to things before making exposition on them.
Here is an odd one. In the human, the first bone to begin ossification is the clavicle / collarbone. And the last bone to complete ossification is the clavicle/collarbone. Appears to act like a clock.
Her words are so true and so important. These ppl and children, this crap is pushed on, are going to feel like Dr. jekyll and Mr Hyde . It really will make them crazy. There's no way it can't.
I'd appreciate if if she identified herself as a doctor, at least. Or cited any study. The way she talks about not knowing what puberty blockers do is just a lie: They've been giving them since 1993. And spouting some basic knowledge like "people continue to develop until mid twenties!" is basic stuff. Anyone could tell you that and I don't see how it's relevant.
I see my grandchildren that are under five. So afraid what will happen to them once they get in school. What influences will they have. What decisions so make. Thank you very much for the information you provided. I definitely will share it with others.
Yeah we do. we create mindless thoughtless emotional troubled beings incapable of typical reasoning functions. perfect for elite groups to use as drones.
Either they don’t want to be crucified publicly, or they actually believe what they are doing is helping children. In which case, both doctors should lose their license and be thrown in jail. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Been saying this for a couple years now. Blows my mind that people think that “puberty blockers” are not damaging and that they can simply be reinstated and all is well and fine. 🤯
Conservatives want to watch children and marginalized groups and especially children of marginalized groups to suffer as much as humanly possible because they are demons. They don’t care about precocious puberty or if they do they don’t care. They want to see you suffer and for trans kids to off themselves so they don’t have to use their own bullets. They think they’re better than you and they think they’re smarter than you. It’s funny how some still think this is the party of family values and protecting children
1Puberty blockers have not been extensively studied in terms of their long-term effects. There are concerns over whether they may have negative impacts on bone density, cardiovascular health, and even mental health. 2. Puberty blockers may interfere with a child’s sexual development and fertility. Some experts worry that childhood use of these medications could result in permanent infertility or other complications later in life. 3. There is evidence to suggest that puberty blockers may increase the risk of depression and anxiety later in life. Some experts believe that interfering with a child’s natural hormones during puberty may have a negative impact on their mental health. 4. Many experts believe that the use of puberty blockers is a form of “experimental treatment”, as there is still much that is unknown about the long-term effects of these medications. As such, some argue that children should not be given these medications until more is understood about how they work and what the risks may be.
1) Complete horseshit - they were developed in the 70s for Klinefelter's (XXY) syndrome sufferers to help mitigate things - bone density IS a noted issue in that lengthy history, nothing else. 2) Nope, doesn't cause infertility after reversal with the opposing agonist for 18 months or so. Reduced fertility? Does seem to be, but the sample for such is REALLY small right now and has all been folks in the 30+ range which is when natural fertility falls off generally as well. 3) I'd love to see the citation on that, I can show you plenty of citations that it reduces the rate of suicide in the affected population that has been shown to be VERY significant of an improvement. Which most would consider the most important mental health issue. 4) No one that is an expert would consider a medication that has a longer history than Viagra as "experimental". (it's not much longer, but it is longer - although constantly saying longer with Viagra mentioned is getting awkward - I better not let this sidecomment go on much longer.... Aaaaaaaaggggh!) -- A sardonic pharmacist
I know of an adolescent girl that was given puberty blockers because she was way below average height for her age, just a tiny bit above dwarfism. The hope was to give her more time to grow. She did achieve a little more height. At age 16 she was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and especially rare in girls. She had fought the cancer for 4 years with only weeks left to live. Now i don't know if the puberty blockers played a roll in her condition but knowing her story i would never condone blockers for any reason.
No, nothing to do with cancer - in fact, for someone with bone cancer as a prepubescent, such blockers are used as a temporary measure to SLOW the rate of ossification that bone cancers can attempt to hijack. Just bad luck, assuming the anecdote is true. Nor does using blockers to help get more height make ANY SENSE - bone lengthening function is tied to growth plates entirely, it's predetermined assuming there's enough energy to not result in stunting. (like for me, we can see by my growth plates that are still there as an adult that my shitty eating choices [by choice, my family fed me well - I just was a picky eater] cost me around 5-6" of height)
Hormone blockers pause your growth spurts with puberty as well, but when you stop them your growth plates close slower so your max height can most likely increase if anything
Puberty blockers have been used for decades ffs. Long before it got recognized as being useful for transkids. Also based on your post you know nothing about Mengele lol
Hypocritical much? While I think they shouldn't PERSONALLY and would discourage such if I was asked - it's absolutely letting them be what they want to be. Saying "No, you can't" is forcing ideas upon them.
@@Vaclav yeah and also telling them they should is forced. I think about when I was a child and nobody was forcing shit into my life that shouldn't be. This is fascist at its finest. So let the record be clear you don't care about kids well being just your own agenda.
