FDA lies about so many things. I recently stumbled upon book called "The 23 Former Doctor Truths" and I can say never read book like it. No wonder why Doctor left her career.
Waxing nostalgic about "hunters and gatherers" is not convincing for knowledgeable consumers! Hunters & gathers lived relatively short lives and died from simple disease and illness.
I find it cool that The hunter-gatherers can go searching for food then get into ketosis And I have to go and run 3 to 4 mi for two or three days to enter it. 🤔🙄 I say bring a caveman on the show and let him tell us what they did.
So we do have to 'fast' from time to time to tap into our fat burning system? Or is this in conjunction with just limiting our food intake to set times a day, i.e. 3 meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner while trying to avoid snacking between OR limiting your calories to 2,000 a day?
Fasting is just another form of calorie restriction. You can fast or you can eat normally but restrict calories. Either way it's all the same and it's difficult.
Calorie deficit. End of video. End of discussion. How? Eat less calories and/or burn more calories. How? Lifestyle assessment, awareness, change habits and behaviours, struggle, fail, get back on it, learn more. Fat loss is a process. Its simple, not easy.
@mr-nobody-on-youtube who told you you are metabolically unhealthy? Where is your proof? How is that measured? This is a self imposed limiting belief that you use to comfort yourself for failing to lose weight. You'll never lose weight until you release yourself from your excuses
@@GilesNFFCI agree yes there are many benefits to fasting. And just because you fast doesn't mean you'll lose fat. If you fast for 20 hours but eat like an absolute pig for 4 hours you will not lose fat (most people make this mistake)
The old hunter gatherer analogy 🤦♀️why do so called professionals keep bringing this up! They also didn’t have phones, didn’t drive or fly, we have evolved some what since then! Let’s have a real discussion about the issues facing humanity and diet now!
@@sprayaho1ic Well then go live without hospitals, electricity, petroleum, grocery stores and road. If it's not proven ..... go go go do it. You're either yourself and hypocrite, or you have 60 of IQ.

Life spans of anyone back in the day was was short and was susceptible to diseases and illness, it was more about luck back then. The invention of penicillin and hygiene practices is what lowered mortality rate of diseases and illness. The belief around fasting is that, activating your digestive system takes a lot of calories and body processing to digest, which takes away energy stores for other processes going on in the body. Like autophagy, which is the regeneration of broken down cells, which happens during sleep, exercise and fasting.
There is a lot of fear mongering here and does not account for cost and accessibility. This is romancing hunter gatherers life which was very hard and didn’t have tomatoes. She also neglects the mental health component of food
Fr we didn't have to hunt for food and there's other things she neglecting such as chemicals released in the brain the hunter gathers had when hunting food and sweating also unless you're growing your own food it's pretty hard to eat safe in some countries
So, Are we trusting the mom-science or no? Should we stay out of the middle isle of the grocery, read labels or trust that the FDA definitely wouldn’t be putting poison in our food. She just fear mongering or what ? Asking for a friend. lol
