Back by popular demand, another South Park medical scene reaction! Today I'm talking about Kenny being lit on fire and George Clooney trying to save him from South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, Cartman's anal probe, gluten allergies, celiac disease, food pyramids, fecal transplants, adderall, ritalin, ADHD, ADD, Butters getting a ninja star in his eye, Randy getting served, Kyle's hemorrhoid, and lice. Let me know down below if there are any other clips I should react to!
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

Fun Fact: George Clooney is pretty much responsible for South Park existing! Matt and Trey (the creators) created the first “viral” video by sending out VHS’s of their “Miracle of Christmas” short with the South Park characters. George Clooney got his hands on one and shared it with everyone he knew in Hollywood. Years later it became a show!

My 7th grade history teacher actually had the smartest thought I had ever heard on ADHD :: "It's not that they can't focus on anything, it's that they are focused on everything." And it's so true. Like I could tell you the color of someones shoe, the feeling of my shirt on my back, and repeat the call of the bird outside the window, but ask me to recite that text you just read me and I'll blank.
@MinimiMax
@MinimiMax Год назад
And on the opposite side of that, I had a teacher who did not undetstand ADHD at all. Without ever directly saying it, he often times implied that the student with ADHD is stupid and can't be expected to perform at the same level as others. Like this one time the student was late for school and the teacher legit blamed his ADHD on him "not understanding schedules"

@@mayoactual2065 Interesting, well to each their own I guess. The classmate of mine that I was talking about actually lashed out on the teacher one time about this. He told the teacher to treat him equally to others and not let his mistakes go unpunished because he himself doesn't want to blame it all on ADHD. He said he kinda regretted even being open about it at that point because he was hoping to get some understanding for the fact that he might need to move around the class room once in a while and that's it.

I have actually had a fecal transplant. I have an autoimmune disease called ulcerative colitis, so my intestine was already really sick. Then I got a c diff infection and was hospitalized because I was so ill. They tried multiple antibiotics and nothing was getting rid of the infection. The last option was a fecal transplant, and I was so horribly sick that I was willing to try anything. I had been sick for 3 months. Seriously the next day after the fecal transplant I felt a million times better! My body needed that good bacteria. I know the idea of it sounds gross, but it was so helpful to me and I am a huge believer in fecal transplants!

That sounds horrible , ulcerative colitis is a b... that almost took my mom. She was getting weaker and weaker, thinner and thinner,it was terrifying to watch. Can't imagine getting c.diff on top of it. Fecal flora transplant was the best thing that ever happened to her - we've had to go to private healthcare for it though and I can't believe "eww, gross" is still a reason for politicians not to approve coverage for medical procedures. Glad you got better!

We're constantly thinking 24/7, our minds are racing all the time even at night if your thoughts don't slow down, your body and mind won't relax quick enough to be on a proper sleep schedule sometimes, that's why for most people with ADHD it's important to have medication that'll calm you down that way you can go to bed at a proper time and also focus more during the day on said medication.

When I was 12 years old, I had some serious behavioral issues and my parents-limited by their insurance-took me to some off-brand, dollar store "I got my medical degree from a cereal box" therapist who was throwing pills at any child he saw instead of doing the testing to properly diagnose people. My ADHD was diagosed as depression and I was prescribed Zoloft. Yes, they gave me a medication that is known to cause SERIOUS issues in children and guess what, it did. I ended up attempting suicide a month after I began taking it. I was very nearly successful, but it was the moment my parents decided to bite the bullet and took me out-of-network to another doctor who did the appropriate testing and diagnosed me as having ADHD and a non-verbal learning disability. He started me on Concerta (methylphenidate), the extended-release tablets, while my mom fought hard to get me an IEP to help with my learning in school. Over the course of a few months, I went from failing all of my classes to being a B student and my impulsivity, stealing, and other odd behaviors calmed right down. I can say with 1000% certainty that if my parents didn't step in and get me to a competent specialist, I would not be here today.

As someone who was put on zoloft while going through puberty, I can confirm that it fucks with your head, and should never be used in teens. I became more depressed, and had suicidal thoughts. Told my mom, but she didn't take me off of it. Let nurse and doctor know what was going on during an appointment a few months later because I was concerned. They didn't do anything to help me. Years later I'm still on that bullshit at max dose. Plan on weening myself off as soon as I move out of my parents' house. I fully believe my mom was punishing me because she's a narcissist who doesn't seem to like having a daughter with autism. I'll be 20 when I finally get away from her and can fully make decisions regarding my medical care. As it stands right now, she only allows me to schedule my appointments, fill out paper work regarding/consenting to what type of care I need whether it be at an out patient clinic or hospital (haven't been hospitalized since I was a baby though), and answering questions asked by a doctor or nurse about how I'm feeling, any health concerns I have, medical insurance information, and my medical history. Shortly after I graduated from high school, I had to go to a lawyer's office to sign paper work regarding medical POA, so if I ended up in a state where I was comatose and the doctors not being able to do anything to improve my condition, my parents can sign papers to have the hospital let me die. If I die, that's obviously bad news for everyone I know, but good news for people on organ transplant waiting lists if my organs haven't been damaged by what put me in the hospital or things that happened while in the hospital. Need bone marrow? My ghost has got ya. A new heart? All yours! Kidneys? Have at em! Liver? Just a few signatures and a trip to the OR and it's yours! Lungs? No problem! Of course, that's if I die with my organs intact. If they're damaged, infected, or beginning to decompose after death, they're useless.

@@suckit4669 It's very likely real, but I wouldn't call it a "disorder". It's a difference in prioritization algorithm. When something critical happens and you have to jump into action without thinking, the ADHD person will be faster. That's what they're evolved to do. When something uninteresting and non-critical "should be" done, the ADHD person will procrastinate. We're not orderly minds, able to follow a straight line easily. We're probing like an AI, looking for all possibilities, and acting toward or against them, like a very busy chess game that never ends. I highly doubt this represents 100% of the population. It's probably a fraction, and that fraction has ADHD, for lack of a better term. We're the horse archers and skirmishers that scout ahead and support the flanks of civilization. I like your balanced approach to ADHD, I think it's very healthy and helpful for those of us who suffer from it. I think that it can be very stigmatized today, especially since a lot of the medications are stimulate medications such as Adderal and Concerta. So, it's important for people, especially parents with kids who have the disorder and adults with the disorder, such as myself, to know our options. Also, that these stimulate medications don't work the same way in our bodies as with those without the disorder since our nervous systems work differently and all the neruo-chemical aspects that go along with it, such as a lack of dopamine in certain parts of the brain and commonly the prefrontal cortex being underdeveloped (at least without treatment whether that be behavioral therapy or medication).
