So... would you consider this for yourself or someone you love? Interested to hear everyone's thoughts on one of the biggest developments in modern medicine. Also, if you'd like for me to follow this story in the future or report on other breaking stories in medicine, please like the video and leave a comment 🤙
@progresstothestars the thought with the chip is that it wouldn't override the peripheral nerves but would directly connect with a separate chip in another piece of technology - for now it looks like they're connecting the brain chip to phones and computers via an app 🤙
DUDE :) I didn't know you had a channel. Long time no see but I'm glad that things have been going well for your too. Are you done with medical school in Budapest? Time flies man, Ryerson feels like yesterday though. All the best with everything 💪
Currently not - unfortunately. They are recruiting people with quadriplegia and ALS and the implant is focused on a part of the brain that is used for movement. But... with technology like this, I wouldn't rule the thought out :) Especially if they can implant these chips into areas other than the motor cortex.
Mark of the beast . People could literally cheat there way through school or have this technology hacked if possible. This is definitely not good . Small term pleasures can lead to long term consequences. Good video though. 💯
Thanks for your insights Jon. It'll be interesting to see where they go next but it seems like the majority of the public are at least moderately uncomfortable with this idea 😅 all the best
