The fear of arsenic in rice is overblown; regulatory standards ensure safety, and diverse rice types minimize health risks. Life is short-don't let unfounded fears rob you of enjoying what you love.

After watching one of your other videos about whole grain substitutes for rice, I bought millet, amaranth, whole spelt grains, whole rye grains, and whole oat grains. We were already eating quinoa and buckwheat groats. I have to say, spelt and rye grains in particular have been a revelation! Chewy and nutty and totally delicious! 😋 I'm less convinced about millet and amaranth, only because they turn porridgey no matter how I cook them, although maybe mixed with quinoa they might work... Nevertheless my message here is: think outside the box! Instead of bemoaning the loss of an old favourite, try something new - you may find a food you love even more! 😊

I’m not interested in recipes on RU-vid unless it is a recipe from countries I am learning more about. I love to cook! Even more, how to cook healthy. I watch you often… Thanks to you, I learned to rinse my rice after the first boil. 🙏

Thank you very much❤❤, I have learnt something new again, as I am 60 years old in a wheelchair (paraplegic) and just can't lose weight, although I have been strictly adhering to WFPB SOS for 1.5 years. I've been WFBP SOS since 2015, but I've occasionally eaten vegan convenience foods and 2 to 4 meals a week in restaurants, hence my weight gain. So far no nutritionist has been able to help me and I even had a doctor for 1 year who offered WFPB by calorie density with 3g fat per 100g web courses in Germany. Germany doesn't even have a dozen WFPB SOS doctors, I only know 2. The fact that fasting increases blood sugar levels shocks me, I've been fasting twice a week for 24 hours for a short time because I can't lose weight any other way and I have to lose weight because I want to support my husband with my care as much as possible, I'm just too heavy with 20kg overweight. I'm really thinking about having a gastric band fitted, but I'm not that hungry, I only eat twice a day. I don't even lose weight at 1000 kcal a day. I'm frustrated now. I would prefer to fast every 2 days, but you can't keep that up for the rest of your life

Miso paste. My grocery store has three varieties and all three have added sea salt to them. Sodium is 400-500gm per tablespoon. Two varieties had "malted" sweet potato sugar or added rice which resulted in a 2g of sugar per 1 tablespoon. Please check the label. I'm still searching.

Discernment is needed. When it comes to nutrition, none of these experts agree, Dave Asprey prefers white rice over brown rice due to concerns about anti-nutrients like phytic acid in brown rice that hinder mineral absorption, its higher arsenic content, and potential gut irritation. White rice, being easier to digest and free from these issues, is considered a safer, more beneficial option by Asprey.

Arsenic is toxic. It should not be used in medicine. As far as the arsenic levels in brown rice, they are so low as to not be a major concern (especially compared to the detrimental effects of consuming ultraprocessed junk food).

Honestly, I don't think any grain taste like rice. I simply don't try to recreate that taste and weaned myself off of rice eating a variety of other foods. I will never eat as much of the other grains simply because it doesn't give me that rice feel, which is strategic. This controls my appetite.

You are NOT a cook right. Dates dried or powdered is really not a sugary taste. It will allow you to do to the bathroom several hours after you eat that meal. Now if the body takes a very long time ti break down the brown rice. The white rice the body can break it down quicker. You just contradicted yourself you said white rice has arsenic but the dark color rice has the highest arsenic.
