Tony Stank - Hey Everyone! While our hopes of seeing Tom Cruise's Tony Stark didn’t come to fruition in DS2, the idea of that portrayal did exist. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone DS2 writer Michael Waldron did confirm that he asked Kevin Feige about the possibility of having Tom Cruise as Iron Man film however It couldn't happen due to availability. Now that the idea was given to Kevin Feige & the multiverse saga isn't going anywhere, John do you think we could perhaps see this portrayal actually become a reality? Perhaps a Secret Wars film if that ever happens. What do you think?

It's inevitable. I feel like having Tom Cruise show up on one scene only to be brutally killed was never gonna happen, he'd be way more likely to sign on as a primary antagonist for a major event movie (like a Thanos type role) in a Secret Wars type movie.

Tom Cruise has said in the past he's not interested in Super Hero or Marvel movies. Honestly, he's one of the last bonafide Hollywood Superstars whose movies still perform at the box office and he works on original stuff where he is involved in the development. Plus, the brand TOM CRUISE doesn't need a superhero movie, his name is as big or popular (or more) than any superhero name out there.

exactly, and also the marketing for this movie hyped up the Illuminati and it was just underwhelming. John is just wrong here. + At least for me them fighting Wanda was dissapointing they all died so quickly not a single great fight scene.

The whole point of what he says is, he says in the review but “y’all deciding whether movie is good or not by appearing of cameo.”Cameo is supposed to make movie interesting but that’s not the whole rating of movie decided by it. He is criticizing that whether movie is good or not is depends on the movie’s story and a plot not the appearance of cameo because people saying “movie sucks! Because ~~~ didn’t appear” don’t you think that’s so dumb?

@@이진성-x6b bruh you Trippin, I am talking about the fact that fans have the right to be upset about the underwhelming appearance of the Illuminati. I never judge a movie by which character appeared or not. But all am saying is that fans have the right to be upset that the Illuminati were killed so quick, that they should have been smarter ( mr. fantastic was just getting shredded and c. carter and c. marvel were just standing there..) etc. Again all am saying is that i just know a lot of fans had a problem with how the scene was executed, and that's fine. Am not saying anything about who appeared or not.

@@CollectorShaggy There's reason Feige was upset with the marketing behind this film. He just like most of us felt it revealed too much and raised expectations exceedingly high that when it came time to see it on the big screen, it didn't hit the same had we not seen it in trailers. That's why NWH worked so well, it kept a lot out of the trailers and left the rest up to speculation and rumors. While overall I did enjoy the film, I agree the Illuminati sequence could've been handled better. I understand them losing to Wanda cuz of how powerful she is, but these are some of the toughest, powerful, and experienced heroes that came together to form a group to managed and protect their universe. At least make them seem FORMIDABLE against her and put up a better fight.

@@wilcee238 strange is a huge threat. If he woke up tomorrow and decided to be evil, like Wanda for example, he could cause multiple incursions. Not only that but strange has now read the darkhold. So hypothetically speaking, if iron man from that alternative universe figures out 1. There’s a dimension hopping strange running about, 2 he’s read the darkhold and is possibly corrupt, 3 last time he was here he fought with their Mordo and all other members were slaughtered.

The way marvel’s „phase four“ is going, bringing in Tom Cruise and giving him full control would be a breath of fresh air and a huge WIN for marvel. Look what Cruise managed to do with Top Gun Maverick, a sequel to a hopelessly dated 80s popcorn movie that everyone was kinda Meh about until Tom proved us wrong yet again. A Les Grossman movie in the vein of Get Him To The Greek as a spin-off of Tropic Thunder but it’s own thing entirely, would definitely be successful. Make it a Spinal-Tap fake documentary, and you might just have something special.

Tom Cruise actually left the set of MI 7 to go to atlanta to meet with kevin fiege but ultimately couldnt come to an agreement on the descions that were being made for the character. Michael isnt being enitrely truthful here. I believe he was available but they couldnt come to an agreement.

As a fan of Tom Cruise I really hope that once he's done the MI 8 I would like him to retire from making action films because I think that as an actor and a true stuntman he's got nothing more to prove especially at his age... HE IS PUSHING 60 and still does his stunts (or most of them). After MI 8 I want to see the Tom Cruise from the 90s and early 2000s making deep and powerful drama movies

I would like to see this happen. I liked Rob’s idea of a Superior Iron Man film with him but as someone who loves Iron Man I think it’s time to continue this break. Sure RDJ may come back for Secret Wars if they do that but that’s not going to be for a long time. I think 2024 is the earliest I’m willing to see an Iron Man on screen. I wanted him in this film honestly but after him not showing up I was completely fine with it. I don’t think the door is closed on this though and if Marvel do a Secret Wars film I think we could see him in that. Then again, Iron Man 4 staring Tom Cruise as Superior Iron Man would make a lot of money so who knows.

John’s been saying this phrase since the movie came out “People wanted this movie to be Multiverse of Cameos”. No not necessarily but Need I remind you guys, there was a 3 week stretch of main topics after that one trailer came out, about who could show up the movie. The longest of which was like 30 minutes long if not longer. Bit of a slap in the face when you’re saying that to the same people you did weeks of speculating with.

Main reason Cruise will never be a major player in the MCU or DCEU is that he will not sign off on likeness rights for action figures. Even Funko POP!s of his characters are off the table, Funko had to pull the POP! of his character from the Mummy after it was released due to Cruise's objections.

This was actually one of the cameos in Multiverse Of Madness that I was most convinced we were gonna see, I’m not kidding, he was one of my top picks, I think they should’ve included it, because while some of the members they had in the Illuminati were great there were maybe 1 or 2 of them that weren’t quite as cool, some of them I saw and was like “Eh…whatever” So I think they ultimately should’ve made the Illuminati consist of more big, heavy hitter cameos, and I think Tom Cruise’s Iron Man would’ve been a great one to add

Tome criuse is a decent actor but most of his movies he makes are good.He as some movies that are a hit and miss. Movies His worked on or helped on got good writers and directors. especially when the actors that are in his movies are good playing the characters in the movie that makes it better.he is not a terrible actor either.
