Sam added a great element of horror similar to what he did in Spiderman 2 when Ock had the Hospital scene slaughtering the doctors. That was the real horror element and the idea if how particular scenes played out with the camera angles

IMO I think the movie was overhyped due to the fact that it was a Multiverse Movie. Everyone thought it would have more than that. Acting was top notch, cameos were good and the brutality was on point

Not very horror tbh. Editing was a bit meh. 1-2-1 scenes were plot derivitive. Nice effects. Very marvel formula. Not dark or violent enough! Only 1x 15min cameo worth talking about. No Way Home was better.

The movie was really good but it annoyed me at times, like some of the deaths were unnecessary and made no sense to me (Illuminati laughing and rofl'ing about stopping Wanda, then getting their asses kicked). Also, the Darkhold's influence was a bit too much. A Scarlet Witch that was so so far away from Wanda and just strait up massacring everyone was a bit too much. Still a 7/10 movie.

Just finished watching it. Great action, special effects and violence with classic Sam Raimi horror. Scarlett witch is one of the best villains. The cameos were a serious let down though. I like some of the actors that played them but the characters they portrayed on not a fan of.

Just saw it I thought it was going to be alright but God damn it was better than I expected, 9/10 also scarlet witch is OP
