Doctor: US ‘must deal’ with long COVID, research ailment | Cuomo 

I like this doctor. He is the only one I've seen who passionately advocates for those of us who have been left to fend with no medical (or financial) support. He didn't mince words in the Senate hearing. It is unbelievable that for decades the CDC and NIH have buried ME/CFS under the stigma of a mental health disorder. The RECOVER initiative is a shameful waste of money and more importantly, wasted years of time for effective research. I know they don't care about us. But considering the trillions in National productivity being lost each year because of this disease, it's infuriating there is still no political will to do what needs to be done.

Thank you so much for making Long Covid a priority. There are millions disabled by it in the US alone, we still know very little about how to treat it, and there is little research funding. We desperately need a Long Covid Moonshot to finally discover the mechanism underlying Long Covid and other infectious related chronic illnesses.

I've been sick 2020. I have brain fog, heart irregularities, anxiety, depression and fatigue jitters nausea.

I applied for SSDI March 2022. And I’m still waiting!!!We had to sell our house and move to another state because I acutely was unable to work. I am a nurse and had a very good income. And instantly it was gone. Our government played a roll in inventing this virus and this is how they treat the people they are responsible for making sick and disabled. I’m disgusted as an American citizen and I’ve lost the ability to do what I loved. Stanford didn’t help me. They just treated me like data. Thankfully I’m being helped now by Four Peaks in Flagstaff Arizona. They are licensed to treat in many states. They understand what I’m going through.

Long covid, long vaccine injury, and people with both now.

I have had Long Covid for almost 3 years but no doctor could diagnose it. I finally got help online from Dr. Boon Lim, a world class cardiologist in London. I highly recommend his youtube videos. In particular "Step by step recovery from breathlessness--Long Covid Dysautonomia."

Just to be sure they have completely separated the people who have long covid from those who have suffered long term vaccine injury so we know which is which?

Most people in the USA would never believe that they are nutritionally deficit but the fact is so many eat the SAD or Standard American Diet. Much of this diet is filled with processed foods, sugar, refined oils and excessive salt along with the minimum amount of macro and micro nutrients. A UK study found that those people who ate a whole food plant based diet, exercised and were strategic in their hydration during the global lockdown, were less likely to suffer from the disease and had far better outcomes when they did get sick versus those who did nothing. Although that thing was created in a lab, we may be able to get past this secondary plague by focusing on concentrated nutrition. This needs to be our call to arms or putting a "man on the moon," battle cry.

Ferrets have the closest immune type to humans. UK has roughly 500000 (half million) Ferrets. Ferrets spread influenza to humans. Not a single case of 1 Ferret contracting, spreading or dying of Sars Cov2. Which animal has been chosen to test model CV19 vaccines on? The Ferret.

If COVID was not meant to harm us you’d think there would be great concern for the 1 in 5 dealing with long COVID by current estimates.

I have long term covid. Its messed my personally life up. I cannot do any form of exercise ie cycling swimming etc because my lungs are so bad. I even lost my hair which has finally returned i also lost teeth which upset me more than anything. Thankfully they are near the back. I jeep busy and work upto 60 hrs a week to try and save to get my teeth replaced. 😮😮

I didn't get the vaccine and got covid. Long covid has been messing me up badly though in multiple ways.

Why aren't we talking about Long Vax.... it's much more important than Long Covid.

WHO and CDC says long Covid last only 3-12 months. Is it really still going on or are these sufferers just in such bad shape physically that they just suffer from that?

For those posting here about your struggles with long covid we are going to assume that you were fully vax'd and boosted, unless you indicate otherwise!

My dad has Strumpell Lorrain syndrome, I mean, something you don't need to be asymptomatic for, something you don't need 80+ yo with multiple comorbidities to be listed anyway with or something you don't need to see if in 2037 somewhat happens to make a deduction exercise and make everything fall in an all-encompassing umbrella. No one among Govs, influencers, stakeholders, science with its trademark self-declared experts ever cared in such a bombastic way like it happened with Covid and its whole set of policies that clearly were not just about a virus, but also about implementing a new social and economic system. I don't get why the entire world now needs to worry about somebody having Long Covid, especially people like me who being healthy, young and given the fact obviously I didn't buy anything and I was unvaccinated, recovered from two hours of temp with two ibuprofen. Deal with the fact there are disease way more severe, some shit happens and people doesn't want the new normality.
