Best: 1. Niacinamide 5% 2. Alpha arbutin 3. Retinoid 2% 4. Kojic acid + alpha arbutin 5. Salicylic acid 2% 6. Squalane 100% ( last step) Worst: 1. AHA 25% BHA PHA 2. Benzoyl peroxide 2% (if you want to use this, then apply it first and then use salicylic acid and wait a few minutes then use vitamin c 20%) 3. Lactic acid 10% (should not exceed 7%) + HA 1%

So here’s the thing right- i am from India and I can’t tell you how hard it is to find one product which matches the basic standards. Now the products you suggest are either not available in India or are priced so exorbitantly that it’s almost impossible to invest in it consistently. Imagine a cereve eye cream which is 7$ elsewhere is priced at 4500 INR in amazon for Indians. I think we are yet to have ppl like you or Hyram in India specifically who could perhaps explore, research and educate folks on Indian brands. It’s so unfortunate to have limited options and not much you can do about it. I feel sad. Thank you!

Omg, Dr. V, I'm literally crying. It's like I've found a goldmine. For years, I've been trying to get away from the big box Loreal, Nivea, Garnier etc and into safer skin care products. I've been navigating all these new 'organic' startups and feel so lost. Cause as you said, they don't disclose everything and maybe even don't put what they claim to. Mostly it seems like a way to sell products at a premium by green washing and I really doubt if any of them are genuine. And this is further propagated by so called influencers. Finally, I feel like I've finally found someone to guide me. Thanks.

Di I can't stop praising you..I always talk about you in my channel..you are such an amazing soul..I ordered their niacinamide 10% and salicylic acid 2%..I was nervous..thank you so much for coming up with this video ...in my hindi channel I am trying to educate my viewers about all these skincare mistakes that I have learnt from you, Hyram , Lab Muffin Beauty & Dr Dray...because I have noticed nobody is talking about all these traditional & diy mistakes in hindi and people often have language problem which I understood through the comments in my hindi channel..and I am also trying to change the concept of key ingredients...even one of the top selling ayurvedic brand Biotique says that their water based products are preservative free and their shelf life is around 2 years from the date of manufacturing 😡 this is totally misleading... I don't mind with the packaging of be minimalist rather I appreciate them for coming up with such clean formulations. 🇮🇳🙏❤

I'm so grateful you approached this brand without prejudice and judgement. The Ordinary isn't accessible to most Indians, an accessible local brand like Be Minimalist was much needed. Clean, quality ingredients presented to customers with transparency regarding ingredients is what we need. Please consider making skim care routines for different skin types and skin concerns from this brand just like you have done for The Ordinary, that would be so helpful!

Thank you so much for this video! I've been using their benzoyl peroxide + GA serum. It worked really well for almost 2 weeks. Skin cleared up, got an amazing smooth texture. However, now I'm back to getting fine breakouts and dry skin inspite of using a good moisturizer and sunscreen 🥺❤️❤️

Thank you so much for these videos! I am amazed how much I have been doing wrong. I have contact dermatitis since the year I got married....and it makes me so sad and depressed when I cannot use my hands to do basic things for my baby girl. I went to countless dermatologists and for a while no one could even diagnose me here in India. I love makeup and skincare and I stopped using any products for a long long time because I was depressed about what would trigger my dermatitis episode. No matter what people say. Contact dermatitis is such a hard thing to have, the social stigma is unbelievable. My hands are bruised and dark. I have recently mustered the courage to start a skincare and makeup routine again after years!! I didn’t know what to trust...or rather who. Then I found you. Thank you thank you thank you thankyou! Hoping to figure out what triggers my dermatitis....maybe someday.

You're amazing! I was looking for an intelligent review of minimalist and yours is the first helpful one on RU-vid for colored skin. My daughter of 21 sufferers with breakouts and I was wondering if you could do two videos on layering for acne skin with worthy product call-outs - trying Avene cleananse cleansing gel that's working well. What would you recommend for moisturizing, treating and SPF. Finally, Re'equil - are they good for acne skin. They work for me to treat my tired skin but I'm curious about their efficacy for my daughter's condition. Please please do a video on this Dr. V!! So glad I found you!!!

I heard the nervousness in your voice when you said you were hesitant about doing anymore Indian brands, and I’m deeply apologetic this is how so many Indians behave. Many people in this country have some extreme nationalism and patriotism instilled in them that gets them riled up about petty things like an expert telling them their favourite brand is not that great simply because it’s Indian, they almost take it as a personal insult without realising they most probably don’t know much about what this expert is saying. I hope you never have to go through that incredibly demeaning experience again, because people who understand how much you’re doing for us (for LITERALLY zero bucks) are so grateful for it. Honestly, please don’t stop talking about these brands, a lotta them are unfortunately really bad, so please know that many people are just easy to upset even if you’re trynna help them, but people who are actually thankful to you will forever be indebted for this because we’re literally uneducated in skin care (and most other) spheres. You have all our respect. 🤍✌️

@Apollo Artemisia That’s what I’m saying, it’s really absurd behaviour. So many people in India have this weird response to anything Indian being criticised, even if it’s a god damn cheap ass, low quality, subpar skin care/cosmetics brand. When they take such offence about an Indian private company being criticised, imagine their hideous responses upon being told that the country is unsafe for women, that our politics is dirty to its core, that the men are abusive in general, religious and ethnic minorities are being specifically targeted, etc. They forget that a country is its subjects first, before its businesses and governments and religions and whatever other distracting BS we’re taught to be proud of. It is important to criticise a country’s businesses so that one can get better products for their fellow countryfolk, things that keep them safe. It’s important to take a critical approach towards anything in general, and if it’s actually great, it’ll stand the test of time! But no, many Indians have some deluded sense of patriotism where they forget their first responsibility if they’re such devoted servants of their country is towards its people. A nation is its people first and foremost.

I don't if i have said it enough , but i will still say , you are just amaziiiiiiinnng , like seriously , and also please keep reviewing and talking about Indian skincare because here we areeee veryyyy less educated about what ingredients we should put on our skin , and that is why even being born with beautifullll tropical skin , we tend to destroy it overtime , Also indian skincare is something we can afford in our budget , other products are 3000 or 4000 bucks which impossible for everyone to afford
