You say you don't see yourself as being a strong person, yet you have the will and guts to talk about your issues with complete strangers. I think you have a lot more guts than you give yourself credit. I have suffered from chronic depression and it is not easy. You go through good and bad times without anything really impacting it to make the good or bad, but it just happens. We love watching your videos Sesska. Be well...
No one comprehends how strong they are until they must be that strong, either to survive or for the sake of someone you love; that second is the hardest by far, you'll be stretched into infinite pain and find suffering you never thought possible in the name of those you love. And we never learn. Truly love is a hellish alchemy.
I am old enough to have watched all the doctors at the correct place in time, maybe with the exception of Hartnell (the first doctor), I was very young back then. I have to say Matt Smith is may favourite which is a mad thing for me becuase Tom Baker was epic. Matt Smith seems to capture the balance between the mad cap scientist, the playful child, the worried guardian and the war doctor all in one incarnation which is kind of amazing. Some of it gets a little silly at times but overall he delivers some of the most memorable and iconic Who moments for me.
@@DrmayezI know they're called the Paradigm Daleks... they have been fondly been referred to as Power Ranger Daleks by many whovians as a joke so don't worry, all is well 😂
@@Drmayez 'Real' is relative. An official designation (Paradigm) and a memetic joke (Power Ranger) are equally real. 'Canonical' would be a better word for your apparent intent.
'This might be my favourite Doctor' YES!!! Eleven is amazing and honestly you're just scratching the surface, he gets better and better. Sorry if we've been pushing too hard for you're reactions, obviously your own happiness and wellbeing comes first take all the time you need, we can wait!
Can I first say, you know where I am if you need someone to speak to regarding what you said at the end. Every time I see your video pop up, no matter how long the wait is, the excitement is always the same. Just don't kill me pls... Secondly, I love you even more for saying so early on how 11 might be your favourite. I knew it, I KNEW IT. And this is the tip of the enormous iceberg. See, Jess knows the score :D I love the relationship between Churchill and the Doctor. Something unique. Love how you were just baffled by the Daleks before their truth was unveiled. It was a genius plan in construction of...Those Daleks. Just love this reaction! I am one of the few with the unpopular opinion that I prefer the colour Daleks but I do agree they look plastic. When I first watched this, I thought the new Daleks were deadlier than the Time War Daleks.
So I have been watching your reactions for a while. I love your reactions to GOT and especially The Doctor. When David stormed on the scene, I was in love. Then Matt Smith shimmied in my heart and pushed 10 over a notch. Matt Smith has a childlike wonder that David never had. A joy and curiosity flow from him. You are just scratching the surface. He is amazing! I have enjoyed this journey with you. I look forward to many more seasons to come. Thanks!
I feel lucky, honored and special for having stumbled upon your little Doctor Who reaction videos. Your strength is in allowing others to see your pain, sadness, confusion and share your joy......You may be one of the strongest people I have had the privilege too witness.....thank you for sharing and when you post, I definitely will be here to watch, you have given me back the joy of watching my Doctor and I thank you for that....
BEHOLD THE POWER RANGER DALEKS!!! In all seriousness, looking back on Series 5, it just occurred to me how little this one stands out compared to the rest. I could've sworn I thought more highly of it a few months ago. Oh well :) Doesn't matter much for you, since the next two (in my opinion) are a big step up.
Thanks Sess! We understand, we love you, we'll wait. But when you're ready, there's a community here waiting for your reactions to what I think we all agree might be a series you are going to like a lot. And we'll love you for uploading whenever you do!
The churchill quote about giving satan a favourable reference if hitler invaded hell is a real quote - its from when he was questioned about wanting to work with stalin following the german invasion of the ussr
Always considered this to be one of the weakest of Series 5 but watching your reaction brought back really good memories!!! Matt Smith is a very worthy choice for your favourite Doctor :P
I couldn't think how they could possibly replace David tennant but Matt instantly won me over is is easily my favourite! Love your videos. Wish you the best in whatever you are going through and feel better knowing your videos bring a little joy to those of us with similar tough times. Xx
Glad you like the eleventh doctor. Matt Smith is my favourite doctor. And my memory goes all the way back to Jon Pertwee in the role. What, I don't look old enough? Well, much obliged, it's very kind of you to say...
+Dana Bamberger o yes those are some of the best of matt smiths era and just for his start as well I have some of his later stuff maybe a little higher on my 10 ten list for him but that's just because of some of the stuff he did in those later seasons
Ah, the Skittles Daleks episode. Yay. ;D On a rather obscure note, I like to believe that the strange look on the Doctor's face when he says "History..." in the beginning of the episode is because of the barrage balloons and the fact that they're back in London during the Blitz. He's talking about his own personal history, from when he was Nine. One of those few days when "everybody lives".
With Amy came a new level in the music, Murray Gold's music lifts the series so much higher, adore Amy's theme and a madman with a box. Enjoy Matt Smith as the doctor as a Uk fan who grew up with doctor who and seen all of them, he somehow a manages to bring something completely new to the roll, an energy and brilliant comic touches. You've already seen how quickly that mask can slip and show the degree of regret and anger this is explained bit by bit, and while other doctors have all had some great qualities his encapsulates so much more of the time travellers woes, looking forward to watching your reactions to some real classics, "it's going to be emotional" "no spoilers sweetie"
Tbh I am often in two minds about Gold. He regularly overdoes it during relatively routine scenes, leaving himself nowhere to go at the actual highpoints and overindulges in Mickey Mousing. But when he gets it right he is very good indeed. What he really needs is a good editor. And he may not be alone there.
WolfGratz I do hear what your saying, and he does paint himself into a corner sometimes and a lot of it is rather noisy and just accompanies whatever is happening onscreen, but I was highlighting the themes he wrote for the characters, Clara in the tardis, Amy's ( with the owl sound) and the madman, however 'the Christmas carol' soundtrack was awesome and Catherine Jenkins song is heartbreaking. Not sure where in there world you view doctor who, but we had a proms concert of doctor who music broadcasted a couple of years ago which was fantastic.
Good luck with everything 💕 I love your videos, however often they appear. I'm going through stuff too and watching things like this help take me away. Thank you.
Another great reaction. So glad you said that this doctor might be your favorite doctor. He's my fav too. :) Sorry to hear about your troubles. :( I hope you feel better soon. I believe in your strength
Put it like this Jess - no matter what is happening in your life, you still manage to make 8720 people happy and smile with your videos. That indicates an inner strength few people possess. Loved this video as one of my favourite episodes. You're going to love the next two ;) Take care :) x
With regard to whatever you are going through: you are stronger than you believe yourself to be and there are lots of people out here who feel like they have gotten to know you a little and will support you (even if it is from afar!)
Hey it's okay :) I know this won't help at all ... but things WILL get better. They have a way of always getting better (even if it takes time) ... it's something this show has taught me. xx
You're absolutely right. This show saved me. It really did. I was in a dark place before I started watching this show and the show saved me and since then, I've been happier and feel like I can be myself again.
When I was hiding my sexuality, DW gave me so much hope ... more specifically this Doctor. That's how he's my favourite ^^ awhh :) That's why DW is the best!
lawrencegough with one look, the show does seem silly. but when you've watched the whole thing, it is not a silly, family show. It's serious with very complex themes - themes children wouldn't understand. if you don't see it, you're not looking hard enough. It's not a family show, it's just family friendly (meaning, there's nothing PG13 about it.)
exactly! :) It SEEMS silly, and let's be honest it is sometimes, but other times, it can be so good, so inspiring, so magical ... We might not have a TARDIS to fly round the universe, but DW definitely shows us how big the universe by adding that magical, wondrous element not just in the universe or the world, but in every person - it keeps showing us time and time again to have hope in each other ^^
This Doctor is a lot less encumbered by his past. I think his exuberance is infectious while these episodes have some really strong concepts. Personally for me every doctor hits their stride in their second season. They inhabit the role better and have more fun with the quirks they develop. It's a credit to Chris exception that he's so great in his one season, but I wish we could have seen him evolve like the others have in their longer arcs. Thank you for the reaction
Jess, take all the time you need. We can wait as long as needbe, and while we may want another reaction at any given time (of course we will, your reactions are great!) what matters most is you, if you're struggling, take all the time you need, we'll be here when you get back, whether it's tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. And never let yourself think you're not a strong person, putting yourself out there in the way you do takes a strength most don't even possess. And talking about something so important and personal with strangers takes even moreso. And, on behalf of all of us, thank you for the reactions
Whatever it is you have been through, just deal with it in your own way, and don't worry about RU-vid. Your wellbeing is the most important thing. Great reaction as always. I'm really looking forward to the next two episodes, tow of my favourite Matt Smith episodes.
Sesska -don't worry about when videos come out. We will enjoy them as and when they turn up, however long it takes. You deal with what you need to deal with.
Taking that moment to discuss your feelings and your history was strong. Hope you're doing okay. :] Sherlock is one of my favourite shows and Matt one of my favourite doctors. I'm really excited for your reactions as and when they come.
Thanks for another reaction. Concerning those few days without any videos: Don't worry about it. If you need time to sort out some stuff just take it. We appreciate every single video you do no matter when you release them :) Regarding the 11th Doctor. What I really like about his seasons is that nearly every episode has a special moment which you always remember. That I have been missing in season 1 to season 4 (season 4 did it quite often to be fair).
I want to remind you that you are often in my thoughts. I have always seen you as a strong, intelligent and kind-hearted person. You draw people to yourself because you possess so many positive traits. Don't forget that. Glad you like the 11th Doctor so far (my personal favourite). The occasional episode is written to be comedic and a bit silly, but Matt Smith is a versatile actor who can handle anything thrown at him. The characters have some things to work through in the next several episodes, but it's worth sticking with them as they do. You are definitely worth sticking with too. Take care.
This is one of the things I love about Doctor Who Fandom. Fans can argue over who their favorite Doctor is whether it be Classic or NuWho and still be fans of the show. There's always going to be a new Doctor and there will always be new companions. That's the nature of the show. I didn't like Matt Smith as the Doctor much during his first season. He grew on me a bit towards the end of S5 but I love the show so I kept watching as I still do. I liked him the first half of S6 and by the end of S6 I really liked him. His best overall Season/Series , IMHO, is 7. There are some fantastic episodes during his time as the Doctor and every once and awhile a few clunkers but Thank God those are few and far between. Thanks for the reactions.
Henry in NorCal clearly we can tell even this early on that Amy is of Scottish descent and proud of it, her specific accent is of highland style due to Karen Gilan being from Inverness and I think they may have missed a chance of perhaps having her wear a skirt that was tartan it's clear she got her outfit here from the tardis wardrobe as she left in a nightdress and dressing gown perhaps she could find one of Jamie mcrimmons old kilts and trim it to make a tartan mini rather than the denim one she wears mostly throughout this season
thanks for the upload always great watching these as aomeone also going through a rough time lately these reactions make me feel a little better..good luck x
great video keep up the great work by the way you just reacted to my favourite doctor who episode. I hope you can cope with the problems u have in your life right now, I know how it feels to have life problems I'm having problems too but keep up the great work and we are all here to support u in any way we can.
Orange is Mark Gatiss' favourite colour too. I highly recommend the commentary to this ep, it has a lot of interesting stuff on a not that great episode. Including the injuries inflicted on dalek operators, and how hard it was for them to get the power ranger daleks up the slope on their first appearance.
Great reaction (one of the more enthusiastic I've seen for this episode! :D), but your wellbeing should always take priority, of course. :) I hope that you'll be able to work through whatever it is your dealing with and come out feeling better. Things like that can take time and be really hard, but I'm rooting for you. As for this episode, it's one of those I've learned to appreciate more with time. It's quite a nice middle one. Very sweet in the end. And I love historical settings so that's fun. Looking forward to the next one, but no pressure. Do it in your own time. :)
for what it's worth, please stay as strong as you can, and know that even if you feel weak you can bring strength and joy to other, maybe without even realising, :) continue to smile (but also don't bury your true feelings, expression is a part of handling our lives), and I hope you can continue to handle each moment, one step at a time. :)
Jess, take whatever time you need to sort things out. Sometimes you just have to take care of life, and it's totally understandable. I hope that it turns out well. :) We've seen the Daleks be clever with their plans before, but who knew they could be so courteous about it (what with the tea and all that)? 11 might be your favorite yet? Makes sense to me. If you like 11 so far, you'll probably get a kick outta 2. See you next time!
Whatever you're going through, hope you'll be alright, and while I haven't seen a lot of your reaction videos, or know you that well, you seem like a really cool person. Hope you'll be alright. Also, glad you liked the episode, and I think Matt is my fave Doctor, since he got me into the show, especially with the next episode, which I think you'll really like. ;)
Thanks for another great reaction. Daleks offering tea and Spitfires in space, what's not to love about this episode. And what is up with all those cracks? Initially when I watched these episodes, I didn't think Matt Smith was my fav Doctor except ... when I want to rewatch an old episode, it's always a Matt Smith episode I end up choosing. Looking forward to the next episode (when you are ready). Fun stuff ahead.
1.) Matt Smith really gets so much better as the seasons go on. What everyone says is true. Huge personality. 2.) Your happiness and well-being is extremely important. Some people are impatient and want things right away, but you have to put yourself first when it comes to this. You're definitely a people pleaser, and I really admire how selfless you can be at times, but in this case...BE SELFISH! Please. Life is stressful enough as is and sometimes things come along that make it even worse. So the important thing is to take care of yourself first and remember that we'll always be here even if your videos take a while.
Please take as long as you want with releasing videos, Ive no doubt we can wait for them when there is a gap. This episode gets a lot of hate but I enjoy it and its good to see you did as well :)
Hi Sesskasays, I wondered if you would consider doing a reaction video to something I have planned on my channel. Totally understand if you don't want to but just thought I'd ask
This episode is less horrible (and it really is horrible) if you haven't seen 'Power of the Daleks'. And if you haven't seen 'Power of the Daleks' what are you doing??? It's seriously one of the best '60s and regeneration episodes ever.
Might i suggest another reaction based after this episode. A dalek tale: the time forgot. The dalek paradigm giving a certain dalek from a familiar 'Cult' an important job to save the daleks. It's really entertaining and it feels like it's Canon.
Those Pez-Depsenser Daleks were dope, yo (streetspeak for the kids). Anyway, you just deal what you gotta deal and post at your pace and we'll be here when you. Andy buttheads give ya grief, they'll answer to me.....Wait, who's your favorite Doctor?!?! I retract everything. I'm going back to Torchwood boy!! JK!
Aside from the dumb science such as using a 'gravity bubble' to get the planes into space (a gravity bubble? if that were even possible, wouldn't it just make the spitfires fall back to Earth, or else float towards the bubble's centre of mass? an air bubble on the other hand, with normal pressure as experienced in Earth's atmosphere, might be of use), I have a big soft spot for this episode. The Daleks are at their best when they're allowed to be scary, and polite, helpful Daleks who serve tea definitely count as scary, if only because the Doctor - and the viewer - knows they're cooking up a horrible scheme. I wish this part had been longer, so the tension was allowed to build even higher. Seeing the great Matt Smith facing off against his enemies for the first time is a huge treat, and the android / Churchill silliness is just sincere enough to make you care. And I don't care what the rest of the fandom says, the coloured Daleks were a good idea, shame the show didn't run with it.
Of course, because a blue box that is bigger inside than outward traveling through time and space is realistic science. There are anti-radiation pills in the classic series.
Mayo Tango131 Within the show's internal universe, time lord science is established as being incredibly advanced to the point of seeming like magic to lesser beings (including us viewers).
I don't know about everyone else but I don't expect a video daily. In fact, I personally don't expect a video by any strict schedule. Do what you want. It's your channel. There's no need to feel pressured by the audience.
Have you thought about putting a little video box up so we can see what you are reacting to? You should watch some of the classic Doctor Who series as well. My favourite Doctor has always been Tom Baker.
Hey - lovely to see you return and glad you enjoyed this ep more than a lot of people do - it's just got too many plot holes for me and not enough plot. Sad to hear you're going through some tough times - I'm hoping that your videos make you feel good, and aren't a burden - and for what it's worth, if you ask me, anyone who can broadcast their feelings to the world like you just did is super-tough.
I really enjoy WHO reaction videos, but I really wasn't all that interested when you began your own reactions as it felt to me initially that, well, you didn't really react much at all. But as time went on, and you began to develop the enjoyment of watching Doctor Who, my opinion changed. And I now look forward to watching you, watching WHO. So thank you for that; and thank you for sharing some very personal insights, which would be very difficult for me to do. I can see that it's also hasn't been easy for you, but it's actually kind of endearing. Anyway onward to "The Time of Angels" where an old friend from Series 4 returns. Take care ...
Hi Sess. A bit of a weak episode saved by Matt Smith and Spitfires in Spaaaace. I think it best we all pretend we didn't see the Tellytubby Daleks. Let's never talk about them again:).
Hey love your vids I'm new I like watching people's reactions to those Dr who AHA moments lol (btw love your reaction to when you saw Mickie return) haha anyway sorry to hear about what you're going through I hope you get through it and wait till you get to Peter Capaldi I used to love Matt Smith but Capaldi is slowly winning me over xD he kinda weaves out the fake whovians haha😂
The Paradigm Daleks really grew on me over time and it's a shame that they got so few appearances before being shelved. I think they should have been utilized more, like have a red dalek leading a squad of bronze occasionally. Or if you're showing the inside of a Dalek ship then have a blue dalek in the command position
If the Daleks were reintroduced in the revived series similar to the John Lumic Cybermen, they could've been Nazi supersoldiers to a Nazi scientist whose surname is Davros (like Gustav von Davros) who works for Rudolf Hoess and the Nazi symbol could be underneath their eyestalk. Instead of being mutated alien creatures the Daleks would also have been "Kaleds" - Nazis who are against Hitler and are considered to be absolute traitors by Hitler's second-in-commands - subjected to inhumane experiments conducted by Davros himself while the "Thals" are like the four Jewish brothers and citizens hiding in the Belarus forest like that movie Defiance. Similar to the Genesis of the Daleks story, the Daleks would use their weaponry made by Hitler's second-in-commands to assasinate Hitler before the Operation Valkyrie team would do that before killing Davros, thus making themselves victorious to win WWII. This means the Dalek invasion of Earth episode would be in London during the Blitz. btw "Skaro" would be another term for a Nazi city or concentration camp like "Auchwitz-Skaro/Auchwitz IV" Or even better: the Greater Skaro Reich!!!!! Or the Dalek Reich....
