Just hearing William Russell say the words "Doctor Who" feels magnificent and important.

We need a cameo, where the Doctor calls out to "Chatterton". As Ian looks across the way, he only sees a woman, who repeats the call, and he responds "Only one person ever called me that."

This was so heartwarming to watch, but it was so sad to hear Carole's side, that her character wasn't "allowed" to be as revolutionary and eccentric as all the Doctors were, all the the way to Capaldi's that we know and love now, but instead was only there as a relatable vessel for the kids (which in itself feels patronizing since everyone loved it for so many other reasons AND we still had Barbara and Ian for human "relatibility.") Everything she voiced about how she wanted Susan to be (like taking a friendlier interest in aliens) I feel would have been exactly the approach writers would have for her character today. She's so ahead of her time, and such a wonderful human being, just radiating those same vibes she wanted to contribute to the show :) Still loved Susan and her screams though lol those were pretty well-delivered as well.

Ian should make a cameo at the school.

Thank you William Russell! The secret to the longevity of Doctor Who is "we believed in it!". The actors and production crew believed in it while making it, and we, the audience, believe in it while watching it.

I wish I could have been there. For the little girl, 4 years 3 months and 10 days old, who ran into the living room, despairing and asking breathlessly, "Did I miss much?" to be told that Doctor Who had been delayed due to news from America. Releived that her mothers habit of gossiping during the Saturday shopping hadn't robbed her of the first episode, she sat contented on the floor and became a fan for life.

Please, for God sakes!!!! PUT WILLIAM RUSSEL IN A NEW EPISODE!!! Chris Chibnall better do this before he goes!!! I have a feeling we will see Carol return as Susan for what I imagine would be the last time in Twice Upon A Time.

Does anyone think Waris should direct the final episode of Doctor who when ever that will happen?

I think there are some super secret plans for the 50th show. I really hope Susan returns, and Carole plays her. Also the remaining Doctors appear in the current ones conscientiousness. That way they can look as they would if they lived on. Don't like how they bring them in as if they were from the timeline.
