I cant believe this aired 13 Years ago, I can still remember always watching these adverts when they came on tv and asking my mum and dad for new figures for my birthday and Christmas, It was such a good time to be a doctor who fan as the mechanise was everywhere, I even remember the first figures i got (however i cant remember the year- 2006 I think) it must have been near to the beginning for the figures as I got the Wave 1 Tenth Doctor and my brother got the Wave 1 Cyberman
Literally man the good old days the 10th doctor was my first ever doctor I remember when I wanted the 10th doctor series and my aunties friend bought me the 9th doctor accidentally and that’s how I was introduced to christoper Eccleston so happy she did that cuz I just appreciated doctor who so much more after that to me 9-10-11 after that I stopped watching I miss the good old days tho I had every figure the tardis it’s crazy to see where doctor who is at rn

Her arms are pretty skinny, I'd guess in test playing they snapped a lot so they thought it'd be better to not make them movable. mid-way down the arm. That way if they snap it's the child's fault because they're not mean to move anyway if they don't put in any joints.
Not only in this advertisement the Sonic Screwdriver is thought to be the weapon, it's also thought to be a weapon in the Doctor Who games, "Dalek Attack", and also "Destiny of the Doctors".
Tell you what, this really goes to show the difference in quality/popularity of Doctor who these days. I found a box the other day in the garage full of loads of these Doctor who figures that i collected as a kid. They literally seemed to make a figure of every single character that you saw in the show, as well as having tv adverts for these figures. But now, you'd be lucky if they did figures of just the Doctor and the companions. And keep dreaming if you think they would do TV adverts for them. But then again, maybe that will change with the 15th Doctor. It would be great if Doctor who became this popular again.
Here are the top three facts of Doctor Who Character Options toys… 1. This is the only few lines that was promoted in commercials. 2. It was marketed for kids not collectors. 3. It was mostly on the RTD era which was marketed.
Why cant character take a leaf from their own book and do this for the current series to get more youngee viewers and collectors involved with the series again... like back in 2006/7

Advert 5: Doctor: Run fer yer life ROSE! Why get a new actor for the Doctor for just one advert? Advert 6: A bunch of kids think they're Cybermen and are going to kill us but because I'm blond I have to be Rose. I hope this other kid I'm with will use something to put the BJG (Black Jumper Gang) out of this trance! Oh, he's using a toy. Even if this was Doctor Who, what would the sonic even do? We're dead. As much as I'm pointing out flaws, imagine this for the New thirteenth Doctor Wave. Wish these were still on TV. (Also why is the Mox of Balhoon still alive?)

Well this is the toy marketing world we're talking about XD According to the co-operate machines, boys are the heroes and girls are the damsels that scream alot.
@Emmet Brickowski Yes, I hear you, but the commercial never actually shows who's screaming. For all we know, it could just be some innocent bystander. And adverts don't so much "want to ruin the darkness of popular TV shows" as they want to make it more marketable for the target demographic, and as these adverts are for children's toys...do I really need to finish this sentence? Besides, the darkness is still somewhat intact in these adverts. The Doctor and his allies are being attacked by hostile monsters and aliens, so the threat is apparent. And it's not like the show is all darkness.
Because Doctor Who used to be so good in the Russell T Davies era, Character Options were putting more time and effort into these fantastic products, but then Steven Moffat took over and the show just wasn’t as popular anymore. Hence the 3.75 inch scale action figures. Then Chris Chibnall took over and Doctor Who was “No More” (Pun intended) Because the show’s no good anymore, the show has less of an audience, so Character Options wouldn’t make enough money out of them. You used to get like 6 pages worth of Doctor Who Toys in the Argos Catalogue, now you get hardly anything. They even cancelled the DVD Files a few years ago.
