The text commentary track for the DVD Production notes of the forthcoming Dimension in Time DVD. This is from a test-pressing of the disc. Hope you enjoy it.
This is solid gold. SOLID GOLD. Brilliant work. And educational, too. I, for one, hadn't realized that Jon Pertwee was a trademark! The more you know, eh?
This is the funniest Doctor Who-related thing I've ever see. And I've seen Torchwood: Miracle Day. I was crying all the way through that. (And through your video as well.)
"Well I seem them throwing out of the Vic, but never dragged in!" This is a funny line from Frank Butcher. It is an interesting story and slightly amusing. The production notes are funny and well written. Gernimo!!!!
What happened to that genius teenager, we met in the 60's? Had Susan been lurking around with the primitives for so long that she forgot that Time Lords regenerate? She didn't seem to be the least bit upset that her Grandfather had abandoned her on this Nimon forsaken rock all those years ago in the future. Forgive and forget the abandonment on a backward planet... why you look different?!?
i find this fun to watch, however it stuns me on how which doctors got the most parts: Jon was the oldest, and he was in it the most Tom was the one who really wanted to be the Doctor again (see Dark Dimension) and got a 1-minute part Peter I don't know what to say he bridged the episodes if you like Colin was fired from the BBC, and yet he got a lot of parts two Sylvester despite being the main doctor at the time, didnt get a lot either So pretty much the story is messed up
They probably didn't have Tom there very long since Lalla was there as well and those two were on major outs (as in they couldn't be in the same room without yelling outs)
You're right: he definitely won. And Perters' BIG LINE is definitely treated correctly here! Should've been the title of his autobiography, or at least his catchphrase: sod 'reverse the polarity'.
Good grief, I had to mute the sound and scroll the page down to obscure all but the subs to get through that. I'd forgotten how bad DiT was considering I watched it many times as a wee lad. Trauma.
its cool to see all the old companions again but the whole thing seems mad rushed. it should have been a better story at least 60-90min long. 13-14min is totally rushing it.lol
You've almost made me want to watch all of Dimensions in Time. The attempt at 3D and moving the camera constantly makes me feel a bit sick. Or it could just be the acting or what passes as "story".
I'm surprised none of the Eastend characters and the random extras notice any of those aliens looking out the of pub window or wandering around the marketplace!
