I think I like this message better than "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate". Thank you, Doctor!

I love how Danny's story reflects the Doctor's so much. Both were scared of the dark as children, both were comforted by Clara, both were told that fear is a superpower, both used that to become heroes (soldiers without guns), until they stopped becoming scared and became angry, leading them to make mistakes. Both returned to human civilization and fear found them again. Both found "companions", who showed great bravery, and they were scared of losing them. Both died and came back, and both want their pain to end.

Danny Pink is UNDERRATED! He was just a guy trying to get around with survivors guilt and an innocent boys life on his shoulders and when things were just getting normal, he fell in love with a time traveller. To think he was a normal guy who died in a normal way despite the life he lead is heart wrenching.

The one dislike was the thing under the blanket

Nice to see Danny’s story being fleshed out- wish we’d had more of the Clara/Danny relationship and explored that scene in Listen when it was implied about Orson being their descendent.

I thought it was Peter Capaldi narrating for a second.

lovely touch to have Danny attracted to Clara because he remembers her kindness though he can't quite remember her and for Clara that the event is still in her future. Great story, Great illustrations!

Ugh, even this couldn't make Danny Pink seem like a good character (sorry Mr. Ashton, that's not your fault). I still don't know why they added the character? To make Clara look even WORSE? That made no sense. And calling the Doctor the "angry man"? What the hell is that? He wasn't angry, he was as annoyed as the rest of us because of the two characters he was written to deal with. Don't blame the Doctor because Clara wanted to go and experience the things he did. He didn't kidnap her. She wanted to do it because she wanted to do it and she was egotistical enough to think she was as smart as the Doctor and could do all he could do AND get away with doing it all without Danny figuring out what was going on. Danny self destructed and took the cybermen with him to save Clara, the Doctor punched through diamond for millions of years and took over the planet of the Time Lords to save Clara. I think the Doctor wins that contest. Let's be honest, she was there because she's cute and has big boobs. Her personality was shit. I would have rather seen Danny & the Doctor do some traveling just those 2 and see how it went. That might have been interesting.
