Actually it was because they didn't want two Doctors ina a row with a very regional accent, and because they weren't sure that foreign people could understand his accent. If he was to play now, they would have let him keep it though, like Capaldi kept his.
This was the first thing I'd seen David Tennant in. I didn't realise just how well he'd changed his voice till I heard interviews and bloopers, being able to switch voices on a dime like that is pretty cool
my two favourite bloopers has to be when the director goes NO NO NO NO NO its three beats then action pancho your useless and john starts laughing and the one where john throws the key to david and david misses the catch and he starts laughing

I don't think they're mad so much as always having to shout across the set. They do have fun with it, but every missed shot costs money so they have to be the one serious person.
Poor Derek Jacobi! I can't help enjoying his slip up when trying to be so serious as the Master! But he is such a brilliant British actor! God bless him! 🙂👍🙏

I love them all! I was lucky enough to get to meet David at Galaxy Con! I wrote him a note in my car on the way cus i knew i would be too nerveos to speak, and he actually put it in his pocket and didnt hand it to one of his mangers! I was really surprised and happy!
