Headcanon until something proves it wrong: The duplicate Tennant Doctor continues to regenerate only into older faces, and eventually retires and becomes the Curator that we saw in the 50th.

Yep totally agree, some things are far too seriously, so much fun. 15 years, and David Catherine can still run as fast lol!

The way I see it, is 14 has "retired." He won't interfere, instead he'll live his life with the Noble's with occasional trips where he WANTS to go, and not where he NEEDS to go. Just like how the War Doctor didn't act in the "name of the Doctor," neither does 14 now.

Fifty seven years ago, the BBC had a problem: William Hartnell was ill. It was chronic; it was getting worse; eventually it was going to kill him. He couldn't continue to play The Doctor. It could have ended the show. Or, of course, they could have looked for a double, cast the double, and pretended that nothing had happened; this is what many shows did when faced with a similar situation. But then someone at the BBC had a brainstorm - The Doctor isn't human; his body doesn't have to follow human rules. Time lords can regenerate! Of course, that can't mean that they're immortal; if it did Gallifrey would have too many people to support. There has to be a limit. Twelve, that sounds good. Surely the show can't last long enough for The Doctor to need more than twelve bodies, right? Obviously, they got that one wrong. _Doctor Who_ has been playing fast and loose with the limits on regeneration for some time now, with no adequate explanation. So Chris Chibnall made the BBC another gift: a reason why The Doctor can regenerate forever, "The Timeless Child." Many Whovians are dissatisfied with this explanation; I'm not one of them. What I AM dissatisfied with is the way Chibnall gave us this information. Much of the revelation had a nightmare quality that makes it seem unlikely, and The Master is the quintessential unreliable narrator. Then, to add insult to injury, The Master destroyed Gallifrey (still with that nightmarish quality, so we aren't certain whether it really happened) and The Doctor's mother turned out to be a psychopathic mass murderer so we had The Flux and The Doctor's memories were stolen. But The Timeless Child continues to be a very useful idea, in the same way that regeneration is useful. And now we have Ncuti Gatwa playing The Doctor with a level of sanity that we have never seen before, and we have bigeneration. I have to wonder whether Russell T. Davies is planning to use the bigeneration to somehow repair The Doctor's memories.

I think that when he regenerates, the old cells are supposed to die off so the new ones can take their place, except this time his cells refused to die so the new ones had to expel themselves to get free. Both are the Doctor on a cellular level

my theory and that of many others is: that, when the 14th finally will regenerate, it will happen like it did in that episode. that is why 15 was all "healed" from the emotional distress as the 14th doctor did rehab before he regenerated

My theory is somewhere along the way after the 14th Doctor heals himself staying with the Nobles; he will die of natural causes and begin to regenerate but because of the Toy Maker's meddling the 14th Doctor is also in the Toy Maker's realm and gets fatally shot by the Toy Maker and both versions of the 14th Doctor regenerate at the same time, but when the 14th Doctor with the Noble's concludes regenerating he just vanishes and ends up in the regenerating out of his past self's body. Notice the 14th Doctor is confused as to what happened but the 15th isn't, because he was already there as the 14th Doctor who got shot by the Toymaker, was the 14th Doctor who met his 15th Doctor self, and went and healed himself living and settling down briefly with the Nobles. So the Bi-Regeneration is one Time Lord or Time Lady in two separate places in in time regenerating at the exact same time; but eventually the 14th Doctor with the Nobles will need to regenerate into the 15th Doctor. Donna and Mel will be okay when their 14th Doctor regenerates and just vanishes because they were there when the 15th Doctor appeared in their past.

When the Doctor bi generated, 15 got all the regeneration energy. This energy is the reason Time Lords live so long. Without this energy 14 will live a normal or slightly longer life span.

The toymaker said he turned god into a jack in the box..... And then the shop turns into a jack in the box, and is just....there for the entire episode

I know a lit of fans are going to be unhappy with how they handled thus regeneration but I think it's very clear er. The BBC and disney are going on about expanding the Whomiverse and this gives them options. Think about it. They could do a series of specials with tenants doctor on earth say two or three episodes at film length that would fill in the gaps between the new series. They could do crossovers featuring both doctors.... its exciting. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of tenants doctor and the noble family....

Maybe the 14th doctor can go back to his old job as a consultant for UNIT. The rumor is the BBC and Disney have been talking about spinoffs. Kate Lethbridge Stewart could run UNIT with Mel, Donna, and the fourteenth Doctor.

Is 14 still 14 or are there two 15s now? 14 did regenerate becaus a laser shot through him. He healed. Or is it like when he sent the regeneration power into his hand which later with Donna's help became another Doctor? How many Doctors are there now? There's the human one in another universe with Rose. They called her his daughter, but Jenny was essentially a clone of the Doctor. There was a Ganger Doctor double, but I believe it died.

The way I see it. It wasn't his time to regenerate (but you know, you can't fight it unless you wanna D1e) So while they were in the Toymakers domain, the myth of Bi-Generation became reality. Eventually 14 will become 15 cause 15 is from the future. So he'll probably go at old age.

I adore this. Do not care about anyone else, I loved every single minite Maybe David will come back in 2033 for the 70 annivrrsary!!!! Brilliant. Also in 50th 4th Doctor, in number 4 as curator "I really think I might". Think on that maybe 24 just enjoys humanity totally. But whatever, I adored it, not back to front though! I get p*ssed of with people yaking it so seriously. GFS, just enjoy it. And No.15 wearing a kilt, sexy man. Remember Ncuti is Rawanda born is a refugee, who Scotland welcomed in when he was 2. So any racists, if any so called DW 'fans' TERFs etc. I hope Rode p*ssed you off. We don't need people like you. need people like you. And no.15 wearing a kilt. hmmmmm eell he is but I got a gorheous husband and only 4 yeard younger LOL!!!! Go Russel who is the Toymakers legions? Who picked up the Masters tooth, who is the Meeps 'boss'?, the master etc. The fact that the specials have most definately put things to think about! I am so glad it was not a dalek, cyberman amd master free episodes! NPH brill. He had to have a dance number! I thought it was so good. PLESSE BBC keep the old sign, took me back to my 1st Doctor Toms and Elisabeths time! Theme tune was all the Doctors music jumbled into one. I loved every second. No.15 first appearance was goblins or as said 'Gremlins' So funny but serious. I adore Annita Dobson breaking the 4th wall? Brian May.... you are both now have been thrust into another legends!!!!! Only looking into that, Matt looking into the camera "I will always remember when the Doctor was me. Look careful you will see it. I can remember the 12th Doctor in Deep Breath, Morgus in Caves of Androzani. I am sure of it. But Morgus was my favourite, he did not just look he talked sentences! Oh and "feels different this time" was a quote the 5th Doctor as he lay dying in the Caves......brilliant (and Mavity? Where is that going. So ENJOY these episodes. Fantastic!!!
