Doctor Who | SILLY OLD UNIVERSE 

I can't believe how much I miss the 12th doctor. I love them all, but 12 made me believe he was also all the other doctors at a certain point. Whenever I look into the sky I know exactly that one of the beautiful tiny little stars is the Doctor in his Tardis. He was there for me when I needed him. Let's make the doctor proud and be there for one another.

I miss old doctor who, I miss the naratives that interwove issues about humanity and entertaining story telling, I miss the doctor being simultaniously awed and terrified by what humanity is capable of and I miss the companions who bought humanity to the doctor.

I just realized, throughout most of the 13th doctor, the Tardis has no personality. It’s not a character and even it’s design feels just a room, just a vehicle.

You know, when you hear the doctor and his silly attitude, it makes you want to forget all the countless decades he spent wandering the universe. So many years alone, so many companions gone. The doctor in my mind isn't a fictional character in a TV show. He is the strongest person I will ever see, not by brawn or brain, but by his heart. Even after his 24 regenerations, he will live on within our memories of good times. Doctor who is a show that has taught me more about the world than I ever thought possible. Thank you Doctor Who. This is amazing. I've missed your Doctor Who content. And frankly, this once again makes me miss Peter Capaldi. No shade to Jodie, I'd feel the exact same way if any of the other Doctors had followed (well maybe except for my other favourites: Troughton, Pertwee and Tom Baker). He was just able to act his heart out, no matter the script. He was the Doctor and always will be. My Doctor. I literally just saw a quote from Peter saying how he just thinks about how he's their Doctor for a few people and it makes him very happy. I started watching Doctor Who in between series 9 and 10 so Peter was the first Doctor I watched live and I never wanted him to leave. He could've been the Doctor forever, I wouldn't have cared. I had hoped he'd break the three seasons thing due to him being such a big fan but of course that didn't happen. To me, he is the perfect Doctor. The Doctor is an old, grumpy, silly and kind hearted person when it comes down to it and Peter embodies that. Imo he's also the Doctor who actually makes you believe he's lived all those other lives before. The others often felt pretty disconnected. But I'm just rambling. I just love Peter and 12 and I'll forever miss him. If he comes back for a future anniversary or Big Finish, I'll just die

One of my favorite things the doctor has ever said is “stories are where memories go when they’re forgotten” and that is so beautiful because it means that happy endings are true and real and that people get them. Thank you for making this magnificent video.

Doctor Who helped me go through rugh times.. losing interest in everything but Doctor Who. Your edits are so well done, that Vincent scene always make me cry, because I remember how I looked up every single night to the stars and wondered about what's out there, before I had a break up,a and... things happened. I started watching the adventures of the doctor when I was a child, now I have aged and in the twilight of my life the adventures of the doctor are better than many of the stories today 🌅

A funny thing about the Tardis, is that it was special, but not unique. It was one of multiple travel units the Timelords had available. In fact, it was one of the older units with less user friendly post production features. Strange to think of how it is connected to everything, but it wasn't the only one.

The only thing... that I want to see and do... is just sit under the night sky, that filled with just a lot of stars... oh well, I can't do it on my country cause the borter scale is like 8... welp, light pollution in a nutshell

Dr, Dr Who? Siriusly I'm not a Doctor. I'm a Vet. Now heel Sirius or else.. I can be a big dog too... ;) DrB -------- What would happen if Sirius went supernova? If Sirius B were to acquire enough mass to go supernova, it would spell doom for our planet, but it would be a very interesting doom indeed. The supernova would first appear as a very bright flash in the sky. It’s hard to know how much of the flash that reaches earth would be dangerous electromagnetic radiation such as UV, x-rays or gamma rays. For the sake of argument, let’s say the EM flash we get isn’t bad enough to impact life here too much. Maybe it will knock out some power grids, a few satellites and give people who are outside and facing it a bad sunburn. Okay, once the flash is done, the show can really begin. The flash travels at the speed of light (obviously) so it gets here about 8.6 years after the supernova occurs. We might get a fair warning about it before it occurs if, say, we were monitoring the mass of Sirius B and saw that it was indeed approaching 1.4 solar masses (and therefore about to blow). If so, we could prepare for it in advance. Otherwise, the flash would probably catch us by complete surprise. The bang that comes after the flash, though, would hit us after a very long warning; about 70-75 years in fact. The nebula that would be created from this supernova would expand away from where Sirius B once was (in a type Ia supernova the star annihilates itself completely leaving no remnant) at a rate of about 10% the speed of light. This means it would slowly advance toward us over the next 70-75 years after the flash. Year after year, the night sky facing sirius would become brighter until nothing else is visible except the expanding nebula. Then, when the nebula finally reaches earth, BOOM! Most of the energy of the supernova would be at the very front edge of the nebula and it would hit the earth with a blast about equal to 10 Hiroshima sized bombs for every square kilometer of the earth’s surface that’s facing Sirius when it hits. Needless to say, that day would suck here on earth. A good portion of our atmosphere would be blown away into space and the side of the earth facing the blast would be all but sterilized instantly. The other side of the earth wouldn’t fare much better. As the shock from the blast traverses the globe at the speed of sound, it would kill just about everything on land and in the oceans. The fact that we would see this disaster coming for several decades would certainly make life on earth interesting. After all, what would we do? We can’t outrun the blast (it’s going 10% the speed of light and, anyway, where would we go?) Earth will be basically uninhabitable in just under the lifetime of an average person, and we have 70 years to figure out a way of avoiding complete extinction. Or, we might just say “fuck it” and party like crazy animals for the next 70 years. On the bright side, we could stop worrying about the environment or what kind of planet we would leave our children, right? qr.ae/pGjgic

Thank you. I needed to see this tonight, I have been feeling lost with my life recently. Normally I’m go go go, in different countries, in different places all the time. Constantly moving forward at a rate of knots towards one goal after the next, always striving to best my last achievement. Because of COVID of course all that has slowed. I keep trying to set crazy unrealistic goals even during these times. Watching this vid made me take a breath and think. To remember that these goals and achievements aren’t what I’m looking for. I’m not chasing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s the journey, the push to achieve, the battles to over come that defines me. My journey, my purpose. The goal doesn’t have to be crazy. The journey just needs to continue. Achievements can be small and simple yet still rewarding.
