My biggest complaint with this TARDIS isn’t the lack of electrics, it’s that despite there being no electrics it still has the awful speaker holes and obvious battery compartment.
Having the TARDIS interior as an optional extra in the box is such a smart move. I kinda wish some of the earlier TARDIS collector's sets had that as well (even if Classic Who never had the budget/tech to make the console room visible through the doors) What exactly are the dimensions of the insert? Might try and make one up and stick it in the Fifth Doctor box on my display shelf
Just got mine today, she's one of the best looking figures they've ever done! After the disaster that was the 14th Doctor's face paint this is incredible!
Would love a proper Three Doctors era Tardis now that we've got the new roof. I don't think they've ever quite gotten the shade of blue right for the Pertwee Tardis releases.
Absolutely love this figure! Can’t wait for my order to arrive, it’s about time we got the Fugitive Doctor! I’m still holding out hope that we will get the Sacha Dhawan Master one day, so hopefully this is a good sign of things to come, especially with the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday revealed at Toy Fair.
The Tom Baker diamond logo is by far my favorite logo. This is a close second. Followed by Pertwee's first logo design (which was also used in the 1996 movie).
Very nice set, one of the better things to come out of that era, and in honestly she should have been the first female Doctor instead of ... anyway really cool figure, nice if we got the Master and the half faced cyberman at some point also
I haven't a problem with how long it took us to get this figure... Well I do, but if Character were a bit more open to sharing with the fans their plans, I think it would've been much better on our end. I don't condone fans hurling abuse as Al, of course not, but what I will say is from our ends it doesn't look great when they're mostly silent about these figures that are highly sought after and deserve a release
Serious question, other than the element of surprise, why keep the figures existence a secret for all that time? As highly requested as she was, would it not have made sense to say (Taking a Hasbro term) a pipeline reveal that she is defeinitly coming? - Or was it the case that it was never an assured thing to begin with given the changeover happening with the show?
What a fantastic set to start the new year with, so now we have the fugitive doctor a Yeti or Ainley Master in his proper out are looking more hopeful. Also I did read that the figure of Ruby may not get released.
@shadowcitizen5454 I don't think that's Jodies fault tho. Just the scripts she was given were not suited to her at all so her acting came off as cringe. But Jo had less screen time for chibnall to fuck it up 😂
@@hvern0nyeah but all the other doctors seem to manage to make the worse scripts work chibnal didn’t write all the episodes you do realise she just wasn’t convincing because she didn’t bother to look at the past people say chibnal told her not too but the fact she had no clue what she was doing was a bit worrying and she did the part for all the wrong reasons she is a pretty big feminist after all
@Budbrothers420 being a feminist is totally irrelevant to her acting. She is a very capable actress, it just didn't work for her as the doctor. If she had been written by RTD she would have excelled. The way she was written by chibnall just didn't work
I've mentioned this on another review regarding the tardis roof..why did they go overboard with the deep grooves cut into the roof, so unnecessary, they could have just left it smooth or given it the same treatment as what the tardis moulding got.
@TheSpectacularSpiderPunk the deep cut ripples on the roof are not exactly a wood effect, which I would have been happy with like the 80s style roof moulding which is so much less a mess , the actual real props roof didn't look remotely like this , all I'm saying is they wasn't any need , I'm going to paint mine a few coats of a similar blue to try and smooth it down, the figure on the other hand as is the gun are nicely done .
@@stevedickson5853 Agreed, it's a shame about the wood grain effect, but that can of course be attributed to the original 7th Doctor Electronic TARDIS mould, which CO mistakenly added the wood grain effect to. I can understand its inclusion on this new TARDIS because an untextured roof would look inconsistent with the texturing of the rest of the toy. It's just a shame that the wood grain mistake was made in the first place, when the prototype wasn't designed to include it in the first place.
No offence but i don't see jo as a proper doctor she is there as a diverse version of the doctor also i don't think it's worth 40 pounds and it looks like she has spider man's mask on her shirt
She's 70 kg (154 lbs) and mean i KILOGRAMS because some fat actors and actresses do Play roles too, it's not that fat actors don't exist, you are fatshaming her.
