I love that Davros tries to literally destroy the fabric of reality, but he names the doctor "the destroyer of worlds" because he blew up the Dalek crucible ship.

I think doctor who is a great example of the part of heroism that no one really sees, they save all these people, do their very best to help everybody but in reality it never works out perfectly, and they blame themselves for everything that goes wrong even if it was impossible to avoid, this breaks some heroes but then there are those few that realize that if they stop for that reason only more people will get hurt. They push through because they couldn't have it any other way

I miss Peter Capaldi soo freaking much. He was the most heartbreaking one. He was soo lonely and he felt humble. He tryed to help everyone..he accepted his fate at the end. He is such a wonderfull actor. I wanna be like him one day. Edit: Thank your for so many likes. Im actually really sick in rl and it capaldi makes me strong and smile everytime i see him. Imagine being The Doctor for a second. All the pain he's suffered. All the deaths he's witnessed. All the people he's lost, from his planet and people, to Rose, Donna, Martha, Amy and Rory, Bill and Clara, and River and all the previous companions too. There must be so much pain inside him that he keeps hidden.

A Weeping Angel gave it all those dislikes, when no-one was looking. They are fast, faster than you could believe.....and they have RU-vid.

The Doctor isn't a hero, he's not a god, he's not demon or a monstet or a prophet. He's just a madman in a little blue box helping anyone in anyway he can.

You know what I want to see from the Thirteenth Doctor? I want her to lose it. I want to see her angry. I want to see the rage, the fire, and the ice. I want to see her past pain beneath the sweet, childish and kind layer. After the first season, we've seen who she is...now let us see her pain in season 2. Let us see the _rest_ of the Doctor.

I miss when the doctor was really like the doctor

To be honest, I really respect Matt Smith for keeping going despite multiple people, hundreds saying he’ll never live up to Tennant and stopped watching before he got a chance to prove himself. Saying he’ll just never live up to the hype. If anything his era was better than Tennant’s, especially his early work. Just bothers me that doctor who will die because a large percentage don’t like change when that has been the point of the show for 55 years...

This is what the new Doctor is missing; Jodie Whitaker isn't a bad actor, but she's missing the unpredictable and dark side of doctor who, she is either nice and compassionate or she's witty. She misses a whole dynamic of his character, and that pisses me off so much.

This is a brilliant line from Peter Capaldi's doctor that would have been perfect for this edit. He is talking to Clara after she receives a call from Matt Smiths doctor, asking her to look after the new him, and Peter says "You can't see me, you look at me but you can't see me".

The death of Amy and Rory affected the doctor more than anything. They were the best.

I love how this truly brings out the best in each Doctor. Whenever the Doctor regenerates, he becomes a different person, and we find that hard to accept and get used to. But at the end of Eleven's time, he said, everyone changes, and it's very true. We change in ways that are hidden, but he changes in ways that are much more obvious. My favourite has always been David and Matt, however, this has truly given me a new appreciation for Christopher and Peter. The Ninth Doctor had just come out from the war, and to see the enemies who he spared continue to cause trouble to the universe, he feels anger, rage, and sorrow. Only towards the end, does he accept that the war is a part of him, and that he has done what he believed to be right. The Twelfth Doctor, is slightly bit more arrogant, he's really revealing his age, and no longer hiding his pride as a Timelord. Having finally accepted his past at the end of Trenzalore, he has become whole, and has finally become the Doctor. What this show is trying to teach us is that. We should believe and have faith in our actions, and that we need to accept the past, because only by doing so will we be able to become whole. This literally just made me feel like typing up this up. I felt like it was one of those English assignments where you have to analyse literature :')

One of the most relatable foundations of the doctor is his intense, deep loneliness. Loneliness is a feeling everyone can relate to and feel. And hes a man with more guilt on his soul, more loss, more pain, more loneliness in his heart than anyone else. And he moves forward. Jokes around and smiles in the face of it. The doctor loves, despite what he has been through. I love that about him. And i want to do the same thing.

But most protagonists see victory as victory. They want to win no matter what. The doctor has morals. He never aims to hurt or kill. So when he is seen as a hateful person, he is deeply hurt. Because his entire being is somebody who helps when no one else will

You should be in marketing, advertisement, or something in the entertainment/producing business.

This is why I never want this show to end.

They really chose brilliant actors for each iteration. Ecclestone really gave that "war-weary veteran" feel, still dogged with the instincts and hate. Tennant had the feel of someone trying to be a new man but was still haunted. Matt had that manic alien-ness of the Doctor in full. So similiar to humans but it was the small things that set your alarms off. Capaldi had the wrath.

I, for a long time, stayed away from Doctor who. I thought it was a bad, corny, stupid, and pointless show. Until I saw an episode. I saw one, and that turned into two and that turned into twelve and now I am awaiting more. Doctor who shows how an open mind, a will, and a belief can go so far. It can open the path for so much. So many adventures. So many experiences that without this ideology you may never have achieved. I know I sound crazy, that a single show could provide so much. But anything can generate an inspirational idea. I hope that you understand how deep you can go with a simple show about a man who runs. Who runs but is never alone. Cause when he is, he ruins himself.

I'm so glad to see people finally coming around to Capaldi. Season 8 is honestly one of my favorites (aside from the finale, which is really fucking wonky). And, while I initially hated the overchimg narrative for season nine, as well as the last three episodes and the one about the Zygons, I realised how brilliant most of it actually was on second inspection. Moffet actually redeemed himself last season. That is no small accomplishment for him either.

Got to admit, the cinematography improvement in Capaldi's reign in comparison to Eccleston's is extraordinary. How far the show has come in terms of popularity and therefore budget is amazing.

They call him the "Destroyer of Worlds" because he can prevent *them* from killing everything, meaning that he has more power than their entire armada does. He tries to help people, the Daleks and various other enemies try to kill those he protects, he protects the people from those enemies. They call him a monster because the choices he has to make end up escalating into terrible things out of his control, and when he's alone with no one to reassure him otherwise he ends up taking it to heart as one of the many things he regrets - one of the many things that turn him into the mad man in the blue box. And what's worse, is that no one can just come through time and give him that reassuring talk because anyone that can or will is already dead.

matt smith will always be my favorite doctor but man, every doctor from this era had something extremely special about them. what a wonderful edit. reminded me why i spent so many years passionately loving this series.

The 13th Doctor is just missing all the layers and trauma and darkness and complexity that the Doctor has and it makes her feel like she's not really the Doctor. She has a few moments that could be good but she's missing all the stuff behind them that makes them so memorable and meaningful for the other Doctors. We've only seen 13 as happy and excited, but we need to see her get mad and be unpredictable and show us what's beneath her vail because the Doctor isn't just happy and excited and that's why we love them.
