Oh I would not wish to make anyone gutted, she passed away far to soon, it will be 10 years on the 19th April, time goes so quick, yes she was a lovely person and loving to everyone she met.
The lovely Liz can't believe its 12 years she past away but her memories live on thanks to people like yourself in videos at conventions and other places, Doctor who dvds, blu rays as Sarah Jane and Sarah Jane Adventures RIP Liz.❤
So glad you like the Video, all the Doctor Who days here were so good, I am so glad i brought the video camera with me, this is time travel in a way, Like you I miss her so much, just think what she would have been doing for the 60th show this year.
Thank You for posting this wonderful footage. The thing that strikes me about Doctor Who is how much all the prominent players over the years treated the program and it's fans with such great respect. There never appeared to be a Prima Donna among any of them. I think that's one of the main reasons why the program is so enduring and endearing. Best Wishes from the Land Down Under.
Hello to you Down Under, wow so happy you have also enjoyed looking back at these great Dr Who days out. You are so right, every cast member are so nice to meet and are so kind to everyone they meet, I am so glad I brought the video camera with me to these events, take care and enjoy your brilliant weather.
I understand you wish to meet the great Tom Baker just a suggestion if can't meet him person why not write a letter to him and ask for an autograph or ask if he be in Canada next at convention.
I went to longleat in 2005 and just missed out on the doctor who exhibition stuff there back when i was 12 when the show returned. Tom Baker became my doctor over the years and the great late Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah became my favourtie companion, really wish i met her as she was always soo kind and loving towards and the fans. I think the 90s was when Tom Baker started attended doctor who related comic cons as he distanced himself from the show after he left for a good while. It's sad to think that Sophie Aldred was going to appear in series 5 of the SJA as ace but of course Sladen sadly died before they could finish filming the rest of the series.
Shame you missed out on these Doctor who days, thankfully with this video and of other days, you can travel back in time and have a feeling of what they were like. perhaps with Russel returning back to Doctor who he might consider Sophie to come back and look after Mr Smith, K9, Luke and all the SJA team, this could make a very interesting show
Having been to many a convention, having see 2 doctors and numerous companions, i can tell you from personal experience they are the nicest kindest people in the business.....not an ego among them
That's a pity you did not get to see her on this day, glad you got to meet her as well, hope you have a nice picture with her, glad you enjoyed the video
@@thepastremembered7651 Yes, I met her in 1983 at the "Twenty Years of a Time Lord" event, and another 20 years later at Barking for an Invasion event, she was amazing. I've been in love with her since I was 6!
Great to see this I miss Elisabeth Sladen my favourite Dr Who girl. Wonder if they have ever thought of getting Tom Baker to take a part in the Newt Scamander series of J K Rowling. he would be great
Yes so very sad she has passed away, at least we have all her work to enjoy when ever we ned to see her again, and yes they should use Tom and perhaps Russel needs to think about a vintage Doctor who reunion story, glad you liked the video
So true and then her own show with the SJA, if I had have known this back then and told her she would have laughed at me, so very sad to remember she has gone, I am so happy to have this film with her and many photos, glad you liked the video
I'm from the states. I have same poster with k-9 and Sarah Jane that the man in the Doctor's Red hat and coat had Elizabeth Sladen autograph. It's not a photograph,it's an art piece. I have been a Dr. Who fan since the late 1970s. The show was aired on PBS then. Tom Baker was in the role back then.
Hello, so glad you liked the video, I am the man wearing the red hat & I am very pleased with this art poster, because all four signed it, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Elisabeth Sladen & John Leeson, these days were so special to every Doctor Who fan and I am so glad we can look back on these video's and enjoy them again, especially as you are from the states, I am hoping the new series that starts tonight has a good story, take care.
Tom Baker is where/when I became acquainted with Doctor Who. The PBS TV station, WHYY Channel 12, Wilmington/ Philadelphia, broadcast _Robot_ in early-1975. I saw that series then _Ark In Space_ and somehow I then set Doctor Who aside for the next 46 years. I became reacquainted with Tom Baker/Doctor Who in the fall of 2021 when I got the BritBox service with my Amazon Prime Video subscription. Seeing _Robot_ again after those decades really was an extraordinary thing for me. I could recall my contemporaneous impressions and memories of seeing that series when I was a young man. It still amazes and pleases me.
@@TralfazConstruction I have Robot on dvd and a figure if the K1 robot. It's the one that came in pieces with other figures. I found him on ebay all together.
Hello Dalekwatcher, Good for you, She is a lovely person to meet, they should bring her back into the show, I have made a video from 2003 at Longleat, featuring Sophie and Colin Baker, glad you like the video.
@@TOTRAVEL-f3c Glad you have enjoyed them too, all the days were great, so sad Liz has passed away, over 10 years now and I still miss her, I feel blessed I have the video and pictures with her, it is nice hearing people also enjoy the video
@@thepastremembered7651 I think everybody does. If she was still with us most definitely she would have met Jodie’s Doctor. That would’ve been something. All girls together 💯
@@thepastremembered7651 you seem to be a happy man.and have a nice life to be able to walk up on the who team,im happy for you.thank you for your reply.
Elizabeth sladen was so loved. Is so loved. Warm lady really lovely. I went to a convention with my dad when I was a kid. Ran down the hallway and looked left and Elizabeth sladen waved and said hello. I was shy but to this day I always remember how lovely she was. Everyone warmed towards her such a beautiful soul
