I was in Hackney in December 2023 for work purposes (travelled from Manchester). I was so happy when I found out that Masjid an-Nawawi was only 10 mins from the hotel. I walked in and there was a lecture going on from Yasin Munye. One particular brother was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome, and organised a lift back to the hotel. I made plenty of du'a for him and his friends that they implement what they have learnt, and make them sincere upon knowledge. The next day I came back to a lecture of Abu Sa'ad Muhammad. Not being a familiar face, he was asking how I am, and made a very beautiful du'a for me. Alhamdulilah, the size is not equal to what comes out of this place. I can't describe the love I have for this masjid. Although I'm no student of knowledge, just a regular guy who works for a living. I felt the hadith about the company of angels being certain when I sat in the lectures. May Allah bless this masjid and increase it in good. It will always have a special place in my heart for the two days I went there.

“The masjid’s name is actually bigger than the masjid” subhan Allah! Honestly imagine contributing to a good cause which keeps brothers and sisters away from bad company on the outside! Hopefully donations will help make a bigger space so no one has to go back from the masjid being too full. Honestly one of the best contributions is to contribute to a masjid in where brothers and sisters are remembering Allah and finding comfort in the house of Allah and those they love for Allah’s sake!!

SubhanAllah it’s so beautiful to see the love people have for this masjid... not the biggest masjid in east but defo has a huge place in our hearts. The sisterhood in this masjid is STRONG, we’ve met beautiful sisters from all over london. South London girl but claim the masjid with all my heart 😂the weekly classes they offer have benefitted me so much with the permission of Allah, not only am I learning my deen, but I’ve met some lovely sisters that attend the classes and the environment the masjid provides us with is heart warming- knowledge and good companionship keeps a person steadfast in their deen, the masjid offers us with both alhamdulillah.... if there’s a week that class gets cancelled, our hearts feel empty and yearns for the masjid In short the masjid is certi, if you’re not coming you’re missing out!!! East, west, south, north doesn’t matter where you’re from.... comeee thruu inshaAllah May Allah reward the brothers running the masjid, the imam leading the prayers and the teachers who offer the classes and all those who attend- if you donate to this masjid just know your donations are going towards building a community of khayr bi’thnillah

I dont comment on vids, but I had to leave a comment here and shout out Masjid Nawawi, Not even from East but I claim this Masjid fully as mine 😂 اللهم بارك the classes are amazing and the way this Masjid is impacting people by the permission of Allah is amazingggg May Allah increase all of the teachers and students and those who attend in khayr and allow this place to grow and be a place of khayr for the Community, ameeen! & have to add the sisterhood nothing matches it and im assuming the brotherhood and what we can see from it in videos, nothjng matches it! Sisters travel from all parts of london just to come here, if you dont come, youre missing out!

SubhanAllah! I remember when the masjid was raising money to instill carpets, and now seeing the impact its had on the community is soooo heartwarming. Alhamdulilah! I can't even explain how much impact this masjid has had on my life just from following online. I listen to the first taraweh playlist alllll the time to help me get familized with surahs that I'll be memorizing after (tbh I memorize parts of the surah already from just listening to it so much lol). BTW I'M ACTUCALLY SHOCKED JAFAR IS 15 YEARS OLD!?! Allahumma Barik! The lessons, reminders, and recitations are all #1 Mashaa Allah! May Allah preserve Masjid Imam An-Nawawi and keep it upon kair. May He reward everyone who takes part in running it and whoever supports it in anyway shape or form.

Allahumma Barik. Amazing video. Like a few people in the comments, Im a bit jealous of the brotherhood & the amazing work this Masjid has done in such a short space of time. I would love for something like this in my local area here up north (of the UK). I may never visit / pray in this Masjid however i pray that my tiny contribution can go a long way in helping this Masjid grow & prosper & continue to benefit the brothers (& sisters) especially the youths from amongst them as they are the future.. It's good to see balanced Salafi Brothers who are striving to establish a masjid and centre.. As we too often see the other Salafis who are affiliated and influenced by the Spubs Salafis are active, united, etc and have and are establishing many masjid up and down the country. Which is good aswell, but their extremism in Tabdee and refutations on other Salafis is to avoided. Yet they more in number and are louder.

This Masjid is a blessed place and they deserve all the funding! But the sisters section was really loud throughout Ramadan it was difficult to focus during Taraweeh/Tahajjud. It was so sad to witness. I hope something is done about this because although Allah knows best, it seems as though some people come for the wrong reasons and it’s such a shame. We should purify our intentions before entering the house of Allah and listen attentively when the Quran is being recited. How many of us are deprived of attaining mercy because we engaged in conversation over the words of Allah? May Allah عزوجل rectify our hearts. Besides this issue, which is not the fault of the Masjid, this has been a place that has a lot to offer. Such a small Masjid yet so impactful. Its reputation exceeds its capacity for all the right reasons and I ask Allah to expand it and raise its status for what it offers the community.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Seven people Allah will give them His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but the Shade of His Throne (i.e., on the Day of Resurrection): And they are: a just ruler; a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom an extremely beautiful woman seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer and) says: 'I fear Allah'; a man who gives in charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the left hand does not know what the right has given; and a man who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes become tearful". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

As a native Arabic speaker who knows Tajweed I was surprised by the last guy’s recitation. On point. Mashaallah. Excellent pronunciation. He also read with different Qir’at. He must be Arab not Asian because if he is Asian it’s a miracle.

As long as there is no covid drama or protocols , the prayers are done in accordance to Sunnah and the typical moderated Islamic group - balancing of deen and dunya is not present then by Allah azwajal this masjid will do well.
