A quick muck about with my new DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay. Gear: Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster (Neck Pickup) Boss Katana 50W amp (Clean Channel) Sennheiser e609 mic Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface iPhone 7 GarageBand Final Cut Pro X
I got the Boss DD7... But my Canyon's reverse delay kills it every time! I actually use both of them and skip the reverb. Canyon is great. But I really want to explore analog delay...
I'm curious about a very, VERY peculiar pedal test that came to my mind when I bought my double pedal "Rat Centaur", I don't know if you are able and/or willing to do that, but I just drop it here: a Pro Co RAT preceded by a variety of overdrives, to see which of the overdrives works best with the RAT for both enhancing the fuzz and tightening the distorsion (depending on the settings). Or just a general run of overdrives boosting fuzzes. Or whatever. Just saying. :)
I've got one in the pipeline! A comparison of the RAT2, the Mooer Black Secret, the Little Bear R.Attack and the Arc Soothsayer. All shot, waiting for me to find the time to edit it.
Great demo. Did you know the lights are also pots for adjusting the rubberneck effect and the runoff regeneration effect? Twist them to get even more sounds
I do, yes - this is just a first look at the pedal soon as I took it out the box. I should get round to doing a proper in-depth look at it (or more likely a comparison with another similar analog delay) soon.
Wow that’s a cool delay. I’m very tempted now. Great demo as always. I was waiting for the triangle big muff to get kicked on but no matter. How great is the triangle btw? I’m in the process of selling off all my other muffs because to me they just don’t compete after getting the triangle. The triangle is the most muff I’ve ever played. Everything is bigger on it. Deeper mid scoop, deeper bass, more gain, it’s just huge. I’m rambling, great vid.
I can take or leave the Triangle Muff TBH. I've got the Nano BM, the OpAmp, the Green Russian RI, those seem to cover all the bases. I'm not hearing anything mind-blowingly better from the Triangle. Not saying it's no good, just that after a while, all Muffs start to sound like... Muffs.
