These dealers will be forced to lower their prices once the banks start recalling their credit lines and forcing them to liquidate their cap. Stubborn dealers are going to lose in the long run.
@@ZAKU-GD In all fairness, it isn't Dodge. The MSRP is only like $105k The other $200k is stealership markup. That's solely on the dealer, & not Dodge/Chrysler/Stellantis.
Looking for dummies, that’s all remember salesman have bills to pay too. A lot of people are very greedy very very greedy salesman compete amongst each other also and they are also in senators for them. There are no incentives for getting the customer the best deal and I mean none.
As long as the banks are still handing out subprime auto loans like Halloween candy, it dont matter. And that is as long as the USA/Federal Reserve can keep finding foreign buyers for the Treasury bonds, which is getting harder and harder to do...
Facts - ((not on one car)) - I have a Mustang, Challenger, and a Camaro that probably adds up to about $150,000 all together - that is the only way I can spend $150,000 is if I am getting 3 cars out of it ((not one)) hell no - people spending $200,000 on one car and only driving it a couple times a week - i would rather spend $150,000 and drive 3 cars and switch up every day
I know a guy who just bought the same spec Demon 170 - white, sunroof, red guts, and he paid MSRP! This dealership already has a collection of Chargers and Challengers just collecting dust on their lot and asking $200k over for that 170 tells you exactly why those cars aren't selling
These cars are undrivable in normal day to day--you can look at my channel--I have had ZL1--stingers--and now own a Kona N--even in my Kona I can hit 125 mph getting on the hwy--in the ZL1 and stinger its closer to 140 mph--just coming down the ramp on the hwy hitting the pedal maybe 65 to 70%.Also my AWD stinger was beating these cars in drag strip and these dodges spin the wheels even at 50 ph--they are not getting off the line at all.
Depends on the area the dealer is in. If it's in an area with a lot of stupid people with shady money, then they price based off what the idiots are paying.
Inflation is a mother!!! Hemi R/T Daytona Package was 41,900 in August 2020. True facts. I bought my house in December 2012 an it’s tripled in value as of January 2024. NEVER have I seen a vehicle appreciate that fast in value. Just saw a 170 on the road today.
May I ask why ? Or is that anecdotal BS you pulled out of your ass. I don't expect a logical response from a person that uses laughing emojis like a child. I know people with 100k miles on their challengers with nothing but regular maintenance. This isn't the 90s or early 80s anymore. Toyota isn't the only one with advanced manufacturing technology like before.
Those hemis ain’t gonna sell in the summer either. They gonna sell them for those crazy prices after all the used ones are sold and people don’t wanna build what they have. $60k for a 6.4 is insane.
People don't understand the law of supply and demand. 3,000 units ... It's NOT rare Hemi Cuda Convertible only 14!!! The dealership markup only reduces the value of a regular production model.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the job of a car dealership was to sell cars. 200K over sticker... yeah, reality done lost all meaning with whoever made that decision.
I know right I know it was snowing last week I seen some people driving RT and Scat packs in the snow up here in Fort Washington Maryland I mean I understand some people that's their only car but damn the bus and the train ain't no option
Just bought a certified pre-owned charger R/T with 6400 miles for $36k. Back in November the dealer wanted $46k. I just kept my eye on it and watched the price keep dropping til I got my work bonus to put down for the down payment.
I prefer the 2018 demon over the 170. Absolutely right about some RU-vidrs buying this car thinking they will get a lots of views. It ain’t going that way.. that super bee plum crazy super nice.. if I ever decided to get charger again it would be that super bee
They might now want to but the craziness of 2 years ago are over. They will be forced to lower the cost. Those of us who are looking for deals, managed their funds properly and have good credit; will be in the driver's seat months from now. Pun intended.
nobody buys hotrods when gas prices are high and the economy is tanking. i have 2 older chryslers as im a dodge guy. 2006 town and country has 227K miles and my 1999 300M just turned 84K miles. dodge/chrysler brands are being killed off by stelantis. i will never buy a dodge/chrysler/jeep product as long as the italians/stelantis are building them. i bought my wife a subaru forester for her every day car as a replacement when her problematic chrysler 200 was totaled last year. subby's price point is much easier on the wallet. i briefly thought about dodge then shelved that idea mainly because of price and who builds them.
I like checking Cleveland Power and Performance. They pick these up at salvage auctions nationally and sell the complete drivetrain bolted to a pallet in running condition with computer fuel tank dash gauges . You could build your own sleeper. They include photographs what the donor car looked like after 100 mph barrel roll. They all seem to be high speed rollovers because top of engine usually isn’t even scratched
I work on these cars everyday. Dodge makes a beautiful, fast car but the quality is piss poor. Driveshaft, top end, transmission, motor mounts. I replace these on almost every car with than 80k miles.
As much as I love these cars and everything they about… Dodge cannot justify these prices 🤦🏽♂️. At the end of the day they are just Mopars, not AMG’s, Mclarens, Maserati’s, or anything in that ballpark where you should expect to spend over 100k
Asking 300k for a Dodge is wild. Buy a used Cat IMO... or a used R/T - slap a Hellcat Supercharger on it and call it a day. I rather buy a House for that kind of money, Hellcats gets stolen anyway
The tires are going to dry rot from sitting for 5 years on their showroom floor. I had a 2019 Challenger Hellcat, and sold it. Boring automatic. Purchased a 2021 Camaro SS 1LE with a 6 speed and is 10x more fun to drive.
I think you might should do more of those videos videos with information then when the springtime gets here then you combine those videos with your modifications to your 300 I think you might be onto something now
It’s a Dodge. Don’t care if it’s 1 of 5. Here in TX car prices on R/T’s and Scats have come down BTW. Also, the SB special edition Charger is a BA package. Nice vid.
It's just money but don't ever pay over MSRP for anything. 200k over and you can only insure up to the manufacturer value not what you paid for it. Keep that in mind because if it gets wrecked or damaged you just lost your money. Good luck tho!
insane. i remember i bought a scat pack 13 miles brand new off the lot in ‘18 for 45k fees and registration included. they cost what the hellcat cost when it first came out now 😂
Must be over a hundred videos here on YT showing Dodge dealers lots OVERFLOWING with Challengers and Chargers. The vast majority of people out there haven't got the scratch to pay upwards of a $1000 a month car payments in this economy. Same for ram trucks and jeeps. Invoices are friggin ridiculus on these vehicles. And these dealers don't seem to grasp the hurting they're about to get with inventory collecting dust on these vehicles. As for that Demon 170, pretty sure that dealer will have that car sitting there for 20+ years like that Buick dealer who had that GNX for over 30 years and the ridiculus price they were asking for that one too....
That salesman is doing really well for car sales. I tried car sales and made about 15k in the year after working 12 hour days. The rest of the guys made even less. I guess it depends on where you work. I think there are less people these days who can afford these cars and the gas. In 2015, the fully loaded scat packs were running 43ish and you could get a stripped scat pack for 36. I got a load fully loaded RT Plus for 33k in 2016. All muscle cars were deep discounted. Since the virus, everything went up 10k.
That's cute. 20K markup on a scat. They'll eat it, and put a bunch of salespeople out of jobs in the process. If I were that oldtimer, I'd be scrambling to find a parachute. He knows, and I bet he's scared...
I was on a Dodge lot the other day just looking and it's stupid amazing what they are charging for plain old scat packs. I have never been into these cars anyway thank God.. It's no wonder their not selling..
@@bryanmcgovern7858 BJ sold a 1970 442 W-30 at Scottsdale 2024 for $127K which is 2500% more than its MSRP. When a standard hellcat sells for 2500% over MSRP, let me know. LOL!
If you want to talk about valuable then your talking about 70 and 71 cuda. A hard top selling for $250,000 and hemi convertibles selling for 2-4 million. And that's on cars that were $3500 new. All of the 70s muscle cars are selling for $80-150k. The Olds would be one of the less valuable/desirable cars from that time period ,always were always will be that's just the facts.
@@bryanmcgovern7858 Why are you deflecting......YOU were specifically talking Hellcats......Now you are jumping to a 70 Cuda and not talking about how an $80K Scat is NOT selling for $1.8 million. But, hey.....thanks for making my point for me !!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Wasn't talking about hellcats or scats ,was talking about demons and that 442s were not higher end cars. You must be a lib, trying to change the narrative
I’d love to own a green Challenger Wide body Redeye but don’t want the hassle of dealing with these animals out here trying to kill me for it. I’ll keep my old M5.
@@MansaMusa-v5q Perhaps you misread my post. I made no reference to affording the vehicle nor complained about the price of ownership. I’m pretty sure I just eluded to the undesirable risk of owning the product due to the overwhelming criminal culture it attracts from the urban community at stoplights, in driveways and parking garages across the country.
That plum crazy Super Bee, my neighbor just traded in a super minty 2010 yellow Viper AND his 2022 B5 Blue Hellcat Daytona Charger for that same exact car, fresh off the truck. Oh, and he walked away with a check for $200k from the dealer for his trade-ins......
I saw a Camaro ZL1 Collectors Edition go for $190,000 and someone swooped it up. My local dealer has a Challenger Shakedown Edition still. They've had it for some time now as well.
I kick myself for not getting a Scat Pack in 2019!! They were 33k!!! My SXT was 23K at the time!! I just couldn't see paying 10 grand for 85 more Horse Power!!!
Tony’s a trip. Spit 16 without saying um, haha. He said something that reminded me of a plaque my old boss had on the wall in his office that read “If you can’t dazzle em with brilliance, baffle em with bullshit” but like I said he’s my old boss, lol.
Delearship empty, just like the 1 I went to yesterday. They begged me to buy a scatpack. 54k marked down to 51k and still was going to take more off. Over 30 2023 challengers and chargers were in stock. Sitting, prices are too high and interests rates. June, it'll be 45k or less.
I looked at new cars and the insurance was insane. I got a classic and insurance for an entire year was the same price as 1 month. I got an immaculate museum type 73 mach 1 mustang cheaper and insurance was the same price for for year as 1 month. I am proud to own a piece of history paid off and way less insurance and car shows love my ride.
Say what over asking. Thats why I am leaning German. These American car dealership have lost there mind. That car will sit pretty sure. Its a dodge really 200 grand what else could I get. They stupid crazy.
