Yeah, I think the hype is gone but having said that, I’m planning on keeping my 2022 WideBody Challenger until it gets stolen, totaled or until I drive the wheels off of it.
It's the over priced and you truly can't afford it. Imagine buying a car for 80 to a 100k and your only making 35 to 50k a year. That alone should tell you i can't afford this. Unless you staying with your baby mom and she's on section 8 with all bills paid and a food stamp card.
I've been a Mopar guy most of my driving life. I started driving in the early 70's. That's when the cars were a dime a dozen. I had bought a 1970 AAR Cuda in the mid 70's that came without an engine and transmission. I took the 383 engine and transmission out of my 66 Chrysler 300 and put it in the Cuda after a few updated to the engine and a shift kit to the trans. Fast car when I was done at that time. Wish I would have kept a few of the cars I had back then. Just to mention a couple, I had a 1971 Challenger 383 auto, 1972 Cuda that I put a 68 440 engine in it. I'm not going to keep going because the list is long. Take care and be safe.
I have four vehicles, one of them being a 2010 challenger rt 6sp manual and I get looks and thumbs up every time I bring it out. I hear you at the end of the video saying that people don't watch the videos when you're adding things to your car. Just Don't become one of those youtubers that just do a lot of talking. If you do something to the car, some of us wanna see it because we still need how to videos!! I show all the things I do to my vehicles and I don't have close to the subs that you have but I refuse to be one of those guys that just do commentary. We need to keep the car culture alive by continuing to add mods to our vehicles and service them as much as we can and film it at the same time!
Definitely not played out, still amazing cars but me personally I sold my hellcat last year simply because it was too much extra sh*t that came with it. Bozos attempting to following me home, I had to literally pad lock my garage for extra security just in case. I live in a nice area but if somebody want it no matter where you at they will try to take it. For me that just took the joy out of owning the car worrying about some random trying to take my car. I traded it and got a M4. I think it's a combination of Markups and people not wanting to deal with the BS that comes with owning one.
Not really…dodge disappointed me when they tried to make the gt look like a scat or a hellcat with the hood scoops..they should’ve left the hood flat on the gt because it confused people who don’t know about the different engines
Stellantis bastardized the Charger/Challenger a few years ago. Now I can agree the base models are just about everywhere but the Hellcats aren’t as common but you see them. I’m not interested in modern Mopars anymore but I will one day build a 69 Charger.
My velvet red gets nothing but looks as I am sure yours does all the time as well. Never get tired of that exhaust sound, keep up the great content Sir.
Respectfully, they're not selling those Swingers w/mark up, I could have got one for 55-56k, i just don't do shaker nor loud bright green cars. The MOPAR edition has SOME mark up, Depending on where you go, it's generally 2 maybe 3k above Msrp, which is nowhere NEAR what they WAS asking just 9 mo ago. As you know i haul cars out of Dundalk & Jessup so I'm @ Dealers all day everyday from DMV area to the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, all over, so i check out Dealers all over, including my stops. I’ve owned 3 porches, 2 Mercs, BMW and now Destroyer Gray 2019 WB Challenger SP 6-speed. NEVER has so many different people of all stripes and ages gone crazy over my car like they do this bad boy.
As for HEllcats and Scatpacks being PLAYED OUT - I've been saying that for months. I bought my Hellcat Charger in Feb 2016. The problem is, they made the Scatpack Widebodies, Super Scatpacks and a bunch of other similar looking trims. If I pay $75,000 for a car, I don't expect someone else pulling up in a $50,000 car looking like mine. I've given up on MOPAR. They're dead. The TRX and Durango Hellcat are all they've got left till it's all over. For less than $75,000 I bought a brand new Cadillac. If I'm paying $100,000 for a car, it better be a Mercedes S-class. I will enjoy watching Stellantis dissolve the company. They've pissed me off too many times. Time to die.
Our Cars will always be the envy of these wannabe muscle cars never ever getting rid of mine and Tim keeping his name alive and leaving these fools was the best thing for him😊😊😊😊.
Okay this is how I see it. I felt like in 2018-19 ish that the brand was starting to water down these cars with all the things they was doing. Spinning their wheels and milking the platform dry. Then these huge markups because of the Rona. That part of it will get old but at the end of the day people still love these cars, me included. I got rid of my Scat in 2019 and that’s life but I would be a hypocrite if I said they are played out and everybody has a hellcat. Just because you see a lot of them online doesn’t mean you’re going to see as many IRL. I maybe tired of what the brand has done to these iconic cars I will NEVER get tired of hearing a Hemi driving down the road. Also 2:32 I can think of some “eXamples” of content creators that seem like they “like” everything the brand pushes out and spewing that nonsense knowing they don’t even believe what they said. You can be a huge fan of something but still don’t like everything that they do or make. It’s called criticism. Anyways that’s my take on things.
The first car I ever purchased was a 75 Plymouth Roadrunner for like $350. When these scats came out, I definitely wanted one. The only thing, here in Atlanta more people have Challengers and Chargers than any other car. So, I'm not joining in on that. I have an older AMG CLK 55 already, so I will probably get an E 63 AMG although I do love the Challenger.
some people somewhere are always gonna pay those markups, but the way these dealerships acting as a whole lately is showing, fewer and fewer people then before are doing it
The wb charger, either scat or cat, just hit different . I been had mines 2 yrs just hit 8400 miles .And when i pull her out on sat, she gets a lot of looks and likes, and we're not just talking about the hood ninjas because we don't live there. My dream car is the c8 vette and my passion are my 87 cutlass and my 95 gmc shortbed. I can't speak on no one else financial situation but my purchase made sense for my salary. Not based on youtubers commentary . Me personally I'm not purchasing anything in this climate do to inflation and high interest rates. It's not so much of it's played out but the over saturated youtubers videos about mopars. Which even make me tired of seeing these cars. And to you younger guys don't purchase a car you truly can't afford. If you're out here buying 50 to 100k cars with a 35 to 50k salary you played yourself trying to keep up with others.
I’m at 100k salary and still refuse to go over a 1,000$ car note, idk how some of these dudes do it. I like having extra money after my house and car note. I pay 750$ on a 2018 slim hellcat charger octane red fully loaded 27k miles now. I owe 36k I’m trying to trade it in but dealers won’t bring me down to a 900$ payment with a 780 credit score.

Some of us still live in reality based world and not on social media or youtube. And if i had the income as some of these tube guys i would be investing in my future with the mindset it's not promising you may be lucky enough to see retirement age. You know there is a lot more swaps going on these days, I'm working on my 2016 swapped Magnum Wagon there is a completely swapped Scatpack Charger down to window regulators, inside and outside door handles, doors all the plastics what made my swap cheap I'm brought my scat for 24k in 2020 I did the swap by myself .
I dont why people think the nostalgia hasnt died. I been got rid of mine. The tech and interior are in need of updating. Their are kia and hondas with more to offer than dodge.....if i see one in traffic its like Ugh! "People still driving those"....dont get me wrong their hell of fun but between the markup and them needing a refresh you feel pimped out. I brake my neck when i see the Zo6 or the blackwing! Those are awsome cars with modernization and great interiors and tech!
@Hemi Muscle I’m one of those OG Mopar enthusiasts who love these cars. I’m on the fence about selling my car because the insurance is out of control now. I started paying $350 when I got my Daytona 2 years ago but it jumped from that to $450 then $530 and now $700! I love this car but I can’t justify paying $1,450 a month for a 345. I might as well have gotten a Redeye Widebody for that.
I got my hellcat challenger 2017 new for 68 grand. Love it and keeping it. My payment was only $649 a month. Now that same car would cost $1500 a month.no thanks.The hornet is pure garbage!
I still want a challenger scat or hellcat. But like u said, the MRSP, is just too much. But maybe if I wait a little longer. Cause some of these dealerships have too many of these just collecting dust. Regardless, if Dodge are discontinuing them.

The problem is that these cars are overpriced. Stand your ground when negotiating; be willing to walk away. If dealer can't sale, they'll be calling you. As for the Drone issue: Try deleting the app. and reinstalling and log in. That usually works.

I love Mopars performance cars from all decades but since the 80's what kept Chrysler alive was decently priced vehicles with incentives while still offering performance vehicles. The Hornet has failed. People don't care how quick it is for its class. Most people who buy a vehicle like this do not care if it's the fastest in its class. People would buy the Hornet if it was a good value and undercut the competition's prices. It unfortunately does not. Unless drastic changes are made Chrysler products are going to be a thing of the past. If you look at their history their bread and butter vehicles sold for less money than the competition. Which kept them alive and able to build the performance cars the people love.
Only dodge I would have gotten would have been viper but when it was in production I couldn’t afford it now that I have the career afford it now im after GT500 or Nissan skyline probably be GT500
The whole scatpack/rt mopar movement done ran its course. I get more head nods and compliments in my 2020 Rover and my S560 s class. These mopars are for kids and the younger crowd. You dont see older people driving mopars like that.

You know after they tried to steal my charger 392 I had alarm and kill switch on it instead of them getting what they want out of it they burned it down so the insurance and gap paid it it was totaled when i went to get another one they mark these cars so high I said you no what I went and got a camaro yellow bee I love it they marking these cars up to high for me the camaro I brought it is a 2018 was 45 thousand miles on it it was 26 thousand with finance 29 thousand the charger I wanted a 21 helll they wanted 58 thousand man yall crazy that's not what the finace I'm good

It's personal preference my guy. No different from no one wanting to work these days. Everyone want to be rich or a content creator. When you have to have essential workers or the 🌎 would stop. When i purchased my scat wb charger i made sure my salary double the cost of my car. I want a c8 vette but it's not logical for me to get a 100k car and i make a 120k a year.

Pretty sure after a couple yrs of ownership, I’m gettin the z06(base model also). I think it’ll be cool to have 2 supercharged cars, my Challenger Cat will always be my daily. I don’t make 100k/yr unless I choose to work OT
